    I left messages and emails and nobody is responding, I spent a lot of money on these three units, and two sets of solar panels, they charge great everything works fine but my battery is discharging after one night with little use.

    I bought three of these one for my daughter one for my sister and one for myself with the extra battery. To update the firmware is almost impossible I've left messages that customer service, I have not had great luck with these units, when it gets below 50%, 60° weather so it's not too cold or too hot camping I was running a small light and charging my devices in the morning the echo flow River generator is totally zero battery. I'm really disappointed

      I came across this problem when doing research on solar generators and decided to go with bluetti, very happy with them, did you ever get the issue resolved?

    Just ONE more thing.. From one Veteran to another, glad you're well..:-) Great Video! I have this same unit with the extra battery, and I have to tell ya, it's the cat's meow.. Ecoflow has been a great company with a great product. One thing I will tell those contemplating getting a Solar generator.. "You get what you pay for.." I bought a 583 watt hr. "Shell" Solar battery from amazon for about 450.00 that is (for me..) a great disappointment. It takes forever to recharge (66 watts coming in) not to mention (for me..) several error messages. I'm not bashing their product, only sharing my experience. So my advice, stay with a tried and trusted name brand.

      I'm hoping echo flow returns my call or emails because I would like some help, these units are almost impossible to update the firmware and get it to connect and I am using 2.4 GHz with a fully charged unit and nothing connected to it

      Ecoflow batteries are horrible, I bought one last month and now has an internal damage, as I live out of the USA I can't send the battery back to them, so yes, I lost my money. I had to buy a Bluetti instead.

    Yep Tex, electric heating elements are not easy to run on batteries. If it could tie into more batteries that would help. The weak link in solar has always been the batteries. Lithium-Ion has changed that some. Another thing would be if you could Daisy Chain these units but, the Hertz would have to be synchronized or you have a phase problem. A couple of years ago we went to New Mexico hunting a friend brought a unit like this, no solar panel. He just charged it with the truck. It was pretty handy. Charging phones and he had to stay updated on his emails for his work. Good review.

      Thank you for the feedback. Amazingly this unit does have one upgrade. You can attach a secondary battery doubling that capacity from 720 watts to 1440 watt hours.

    I have a small collection of Rivers to use as emergency backup power in my home in an outage situation. I’ve had a couple outages and got to use the equipment in a real world test. What a load off my mind. I didn’t lose any food. I have an inverter fridge so very low power draw and I ran on a Pro over 10 hours. I had more charge but the lights were on and i was tired of the fridge being pulled out. I’ve been using the equipment and testing it on all sorts of stuff. It’s all working beautiful. I’m considering the battery extender to use for my freezer setup in the garage and get over 24 hours of run time. I bought the Ecoflow solar panels because they are lighter and take up less room and because this is my first time using solar and I do not exactly know what I’m doing so I got the system to make it easier on me. I’m testing the units out all over the house. I ran the washer on it today. Used 25% of the charge to run a full load of towels. In the real outage I hooked up my WiFi tower And had internet so i could live my normal life basically. It does make an outage less inconvenient and knowing my food is safe is a huge load off my mind. I also got a small Westinghouse inverter generator to recharge the pro units and run whatever else. The little Rivers I can recharge on solar. You might want to look into that Westinghouse. It’s much smaller and easier to use. Thanks for the video. It’s fun to find other people as excited about these as I am.

    • @PattymacMakes
      @PattymacMakes 2 года назад +1

      @@ericliume I would love to have a Delta unit or two but they are out of my price range. Right now, I use my collection of Rivers to run what we need. My dream would be a Delta Pro with the battery extensions to run as a whole house set up. I already have the transfer switch set up for a traditional gas generator.

      Just read and truly enjoyed it. It is cool that it has created that comfort for you. I truly enjoy my units. I actually picked up a few more units since then to test like the delta and the bigger pro. These are just plain great units in emergencies. Thank you for sharing.

    • @ThermalDogOutfitters

      I did pick up the delta pro and I truly enjoy that unit. My transfer switch is set up for a 50 amp circuit so I could still connect the delta with an adapter but it would split it. I would only be using 1800 watts. I haven't tried it yet as I just picked up the adapters so I can verify. I would have gone with a 30 amp power transfer set up but I wanted more power for my electric water heater.

    I have the EcoFlow Delta Max, and some 160w EcoFlow panels. The Delta Max is great, but not real easy to move around. So, I ordered the River Pro, which will be a lot easier to take in and out. Mostly I use the Delta Max off of house current, but if there was an outage I can use solar. Anyway, what was your rate in the Navy? I was a CTTC, and also did Ham Radio for a long time, but now expired. (KA0MXI, and VQ9RS on Diego Garcia...)

    After 600watts the X-Boost kicks in and it lowers the voltage to supply the needed watts to the device. That’s why they are all maxing at 600w.

    • @ThermalDogOutfitters
      @ThermalDogOutfitters  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for the feedback. I did some more research and found the same thing. I actually had to test it with a watt meter to see actuals. That's a great feature.

    • @tannermeade
      @tannermeade 2 года назад

      @@ThermalDogOutfitters Hey btw -- some devices that have strict voltage requirements can be broken by using the x-boost on them. I've heard people say fridges are included in that, but either they're wrong or you might be doing a some damage to the fridge by running it off the xboost. You can turn off the xboost using the app.

    Hi there. At the moment I have a 250W solar panel and a Victron 75/15 solar charger going into a 150ah AGM leisure battery, also being charged by a split charge from the engine. My solar charger is blue tooth but I have tried everything to connect it to my cell phone and I can't for some reason. I have been interested in the EF ECO FLOW after watching countless videos on you tube for a while now and I'm wondering that if I get an ECO FLOW, will it work with what I have. Do I still go through the Victron? And if yes, What cables should I get for the connection between the ECO FLOW to the Victron? Hope you can help. P.S. I'm in the UK so 240V we're talking about. Love your videos by the way.

    • @ericliume

      EcoFlow has built-in MPPT controller, so you can connect the solar panel directly into EcoFlow. But you need to pay attention to the output voltage of the solar panel, so that it will match that of the solar intake range of EcoFlow. The DC input from either solar or car charger is through XT60 port on the back. EcoFlow has a MC4 to XT60 cable included in the package. Usually solar panels will have MC4 connectors, but some models don't use MC4. In that case, you need to buy another cable to convert whatever port from the panel to MC4, so that it can connect to EcoFlow.
