    20:45 Small correction. You do not need a license for Serato DJ Pro with the FLX6, as the controller unlocks it and comes with vouchers for the time'n'pitch plugin and effects pack. That's the one thing that makes it so attractive to many at that price point. Other than that, great video on the pros and cons of the T7. Thanks Phil!

    You hit the nail on its head with your mid-segment remark because that is exactly what is missing. I am currently spinning on a Inpulse 200 and started to look for a range up, I don't feel quite ready nor the need to shovel out 1000-1500 euro's for a top-tier controller, I can find this one brand new for about €500 and has so much more to offer functionality wise then my Inpulse 200. But then again just about any other controller is a upgrade

    love it, but me and a few others have noticed a lil bit popping noise, Even with high spec laptops and PCs/macs, and various software, hopefully it's something they will work out in a future update, also if your a "backspin" dj, You will either have to purchase the upgraded slip mats on the Hercules eShop, or, 12-in skinz has an adapter when you buy their disc, other than that, it's a great machine!

    • @digitaldjtips

    Innofader just started shipping their replacement board with all 3 faders. I'd imagine this'll be a game changer for turntablists/portablists plus 12inch Skinz also has control discs & if they're anything like the ones for Rane One/Twelve & Denon M series decks then that as well will make the difference

      The only reason a house/EDM DJ would need platters is for slowing the track down to beat match, which nobody does anymore. In this use case it just becomes a slightly lame conversation piece for old farts like me.

    Hi Phil, Fantastic video, I agree 100% with your observations. Cross platforms releasing of new software including windows should be release the same time including the same features and stability. Mapping with more pioneer hardware etc. The bottom line is Serato and Record box need more cutting edge competition which can only be good for everyone and if I was a partner or director of Algoriddim I would hire you tomorrow as a product development consultant/advisor. I had it and shipped it back for the Rev 5. My fx lever was bent out of the box on the Hercules, has no backspin unless you buy the upgraded scratch mats. After putting an Innofader in its less hassle to just get the Rev 5. The Hercules is extremely light a lil over 10 pnds and couldn’t see it holding up at gigs. I have motorized platters w/Rev 7 anyway so it was more cost effective to get the Rev 5.

    its really sad how few traktor controlers come out these days. There was a time where all new controllers worked with both traktor and serato but NI have screwed the pooch by closing itself off from 3rd party controllers. Especially since traktors remapping functions and UI blow serato out the water

    Amazing Review! I was actually eyeing on FLX6GT. But Hercules T7 has made me to rethink and wait on purchase. What I loved about it: XLR outuput. As most of controllers only above 900$ has this output. Okay to compromise on Booth output tho.
    STEMS: I am very keen on using stems as it gives more scope for remixing using accapella vs beats.
    Motorized Jog Wheel: Though I am zero on scratch but would love to learn this skill sometime and play some little bit of scratch on HipHop nights in club.
    I love to carry my own controller for clubs or private and this looks handy.
    Wanted to check with you on the XLR output sound quality? How much would you rate it??

    • @digitaldjtips
      @digitaldjtips  11 месяцев назад
