This is what I’m talking about. This is how you earn lifelong customers. FM won’t admit to the wiring loom issue on the Pint X’s, let alone fix it. You explain what’s going on, why it happened, and fixed it.
BTW: FM did finally fix the battery box wire pinch concern on the Pint X, and will repair any board issue related to this for free (even out of warranty).
I am glad to see floatwheel standing by their product and taking care of customer. However FM did fix wire issue on PX. I just got one from factory and they have fixed the issue.

There is still no excusing what floatwheel is doing: blatantly ripping off the IP of multiple American companies. I don’t care how much you hate FM for right-to-repair issues. It doesn’t excuse the wholesale piracy being committed by floatwheel.

for context I own 4 boards (gt, xr, and two pints). when I first saw videos of the float wheel I was like "ok. thats cool. I don't need any more boards." after watching this video i am genuinely considering getting one. Good job addressing issues and admitting to your "rookie mistakes"

I’m not a one wheel guy but I really like how u r keepin folks current on your business stuff and the issues goin on. I luv one wheel vids. One of the biggest reasons I never got Onewheel is it seems ppl are always breaking and fixing em. I don’t care how easy it is to fix. For that money the onewheel should work the way the customer wants it to. but It’s cool seein the new floatwheel in the game making some waves.
Been saying that for me i'd buy a floatwheel once they sorted out the plastic and put in a BMS that let you see cell health. Thats issue on of two dealt with, in pretty quick time too. Can't wait to see if the BMS gets replaced too, been hearing rumblings that it might happen.

GT / XR / PX owner here who was never on board with the Floatwheel as many predicted these kind of issues would come up. However, now that I've seen Floatwheel's reaction to the issues and honestly / accountability here, I'm on board. My next purchase will be a Floatwheel. Nice video
Should have just went straight for the ultra high molecular weight poly ethylene haha, delrin might have been interesting too. Good to see it's better though, growing pains of starting a company I guess. The boiling nylon is also interesting and I'd love to see someone do a test with that. Nylon is very hydroscopic so that makes sense, weed wacker line which is nylon has a very high water content to make it flexible and if you're in a dry climate and it gets brittle you can soak it in water to bring it back to life.

This probably brings the durability up to FM standards but maybe not as strong as Bash or Bangs. FM stock GT bumpers don't crack but are too soft and wear very fast from scraping. Tony, what does your 3rd party accessory support look like? Do you think TFL or Landsurf will start making products for Floatwheel or does that paint a target on their back? If that does not work out, I am willing to pay premium for Bash/Bang level strength options if you ever offer them in the future.
3rd parties have the floatwheels so they are able to engineer their own products. Of course, there will be backlash from FM if they sell products for Floatwheel
I love my xr. Wish it wasn’t a late firmware so I could upgrade my batteries and keep it rolling forever. However there is no world in which I buy another future moon board. Tony really doing something special and I hope I can find the money to put a deposit on a float wheel soon. It might not be perfect but I have full confidence in Tony to take care of everyone in the short term and long. MVP of the float community

I wonder if it will shrink after it is boiled, in 3d printing there is a process called annealing which stimulates crystal growth: enabling higher temperature resistance and better ductility. Only downside is that the part shrinks quite a bit afterwards. Also speaking of any chance you can later release the cad models of those plastic parts it would be cool to experiment maybe even fix the wheel rubbing the fender?

Wait... maybe I misunderstood but are you saying you didn't change the plastic compound, just the treatment process? If so, do you mean I can heat treat my ADV bumpers by boiling them in water for 24 hours and they'll achieve the ductility I see in this video?
Hi Wren, the new plastics are abs/pc alloy, yours are made of pa6, boil them for 24 hours sounds sketch to me, so maybe just wait for our new plastic kit?

Well... Got my ADV yesterday. Bumpers and cabrio fenders are already cracked. Doesn't seem like they're the improved version? I would've expected any new boards to ship out with the upgraded parts.
I was told I received the V2 plastics but they were still brittle. Tony said they may have sent one of the revised version, and not the final version. They definitely had a different different finish than what came with the board. But both my front bumper and footpads broke when installing and I definitely took extra care in doing so
that broken one was v2 already, gotta be very careful installing them, due to weight saving it was designed very thin that part, but luckily even when the tiny part breaks, the fender base still covers it so nothing to worried about

I just got my ADV pro, and i have the plastic issue. The fenders and bumper are already cracked shattered before even riding it! I've emailed support/tony but haven't heard anything back yet. Are we getting replacements shipped?
Oh, and one question: all plastics-materials are changed? Also the materials of the controller/battery boxes? If there are new, flexible and durable plastics available for the outer parts, you could theoretically damage the controller/battery box underneath them if they are not upgraded, in case of a hard impact. Will the plastic of future battery and controller boxes also change?
The only question I want answered is will the boards shipped out 4 weeks ago have the old or new plastics?
with order #2332 and#2409 i have ordered about 300 usd worth of plastic so i can constantly replace them, blue, yellow, and black
will i get new plastic shipped for those? its already in transit, shipped 1.5 weeks ago
