Sounds so good I can’t stop rewatching this clip! My question is with the Recto being so close in lineage to the SLO what makes the recto sound so much more pissed off than the SLO, even before your mod the recto is a bit meaner. Is it the coupling values, is there some special sauce? Or is it the combination of everything put together? This amp may be one of my bucket list tones.
@@groundzeroampworks780 I have the SLO schematic but just not sure if any of the Recto schematics I can find are accurate or not. Either way great job on the mod on this one! Thanks for the reply and insight on the differences. 🤘
Hello there, excellent work. Could you please tell me why you prefer triple recs as donors? Just wondering if the results would be as good with dual rec and tremoverb. thanks!
They both sound amazing. I’ve done triples and dual. Dual is more compressed and mid scooped. Don’t know about the tverb but I am modding one tomorrow.
I think it’ll likely come out just as good. However, I haven’t developed a kid for one of those yet. I just happened to pick up a 2 channel first so that’s what I went with. Sometime down the line I’ll jump into a 3 channel.
6L6 in this one. Has a pretty strong core recto tone but with some tightness and dynamics that can be attributed to sounding a little “Marshally.” The goal was to retain the recto DNA and not stray too far from that.
Ferocious!
Awesome amp collection as well
Thanks J!
Woooo indeed
🤟🤟
Holly shit 😮!!!!
Yes!
Ripping Fucking HOT!
Thanks!

Thanks Lucas…
There are actually quite a few differences in the circuit between SLO and Mesa. Filtering in the preamp is one of the big differences.

Wow! Incredible tone. You should make a vid with a mic!
You’re right! I didn’t even know this was being recorded at the time haha. Just on off the cuff type thing. But a mic’d demo should be coming soon.

@@groundzeroampworks780 I see , thanks for the answer. IF that Tverb turns out good put up some clips:P
Sounds unreal! Hey what tuning do you use in your videos??
Thanks. I typically use e flat. But this is in e standard

How would this mod do with the more recent multi-watt dual & triple rectifiers?

Sounds like a modded Marshall, are there EL34's in there???

@@groundzeroampworks780 👍 👏
Can you mod the JMP1?
Haven’t jumped into that one yet. For some reason it doesn’t really appeal to me to mod it. But possibly one day!
