I think people who meet online and make it work are the most romantic people. The amount of patience and love that it takes. Being away for a couple months for a job can trigger divorces. So whenever people tell me 'LDRS don't work or they're fake' i'm just like whatever my own and others experiences prove Ldrs have the purest love.

Think of it this way, when people are close together they rush things and I get into relationships way before they probably should. This way you get to know a person soul for weeks, months, and in some cases for years there is no way to rush it. I actually think even though your heart hurts it's a very good way to get to know people

Well, in about 2 and a half weeks. I'll be traveling to see my girlfriend for the first time and Im pretty damn nervous. Is there any swort of advice I need or that you can give me? Btw, you guys look like a cute couple :)

My boyfriend and I have been dating online for over 5 years now, he in OK and me in NJ...his crazy mother kept us from meeting for 4 of those years...but with the help of my parents we did get to meet, three times now (he stayed a whole summer one of those times) and this summer we are getting a house together. LDR can work and it makes me happy seeing people not even hesitate when they meet their lover from online in real life. Seeing him for the first time isn't a feeling I'll forget.

Heeey, good luck you guys! Well my advice won't be particularly inspiring, but it's what I think its the most important. Be safe, and HAVE FUN! If you are going to another country enjoy their culture and try to keep en open mind and enjoy. Go places you always wanted to go with them and make them feel included ( if your partner is coming to see you). And remember yourself that they are feeling just as excited/scared as you are. Adam latter told me that he change his shirt 3 times because he was so nervous. You will be a lot calmer after the first 5 sec.

We clicked right away! It was crazy. Anyway, he came to me after like a year (he came on valentines day this year). It went very well so after 40 days he came back again! And this summer we're going to meet in thailand. Btw he lives in California and I live in Sweden!!! The distance is very hard but it's worth it. I love him more than anything.
