If you buy this exact engine, I would not pay more than 1500-2000 EUR for it with high mileage. I have this engine and love it, but it is very delicate and needs good maintenance schedule. If you buy one with so many kilometers on the clock, make sure the timing chain has been replaced. They cause troubles at 100k or 150k at the latest and should be replaced once in the car's life. Oh, and change oil more often than the schedule says. Every 5000-8000km I would say, at least the first 1-2 years of owning it. You never know how much the previous owner neglected it. Mine was so dirty inside... when I took the valve cover off I nearly got a heart attack, haha. I had to replace a few gaskets and did brake service, + changed diff and gearbox oil. Oh, and coolant and brake fluid. Still very happy after 20.000+ km, but I have to warn you... most people neglect these cars when they are old, so be careful what you buy!

Why don't you watch cars in Europe? Every second one on the test knocks, rattles, belts whistle, sometimes there are some extraneous noises in the engine and you continue to drive faulty cars, aren't you ashamed? Or are you too greedy to repair your car?
