I saw Alesana live a few years ago and Shawn played this as the encore song, and the band came in at the end. Before it began, he explained that this song was about his best friend who died from a drug overdose. He said "drugs are dream killers" right before he started the song.

There's countless great classic (alesana considered classic since im 33 now😂) bands with magical voices like Ronnie james Dio, Bruce Dickinson Ozzy Osbourne Phil Anselmo lists go on and on. Not saying that music these days pretty much crap but for a guy that appreciate good metal sound i promise you this. they're really good and worth listening to 🤘🤘

It mention how he could not go on in life without his wife and may his family forgive his trip to the stars. That last part really stuck with me. Everytime I listen to this song, I think of this stranger on the other side of the world who took his life... Sometimes I shed a tear or two.
