The Restoration of the Fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ
A long time ago, after Jesus lived on Earth, His teachings were shared by His apostles. But over time, many people forgot the original truths of His gospel. Things became confusing, and people didn’t know exactly how to follow Jesus as He had taught.
God loves all His children and wanted to help. So, He chose a young boy named Joseph Smith to bring back the gospel’s fullness. Joseph prayed to know what was true, and God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him. They told him not to join any of the churches but to wait, as God had a special mission for him.
Joseph was later guided by an angel named Moroni to find golden plates buried in the ground. These plates contained stories about Jesus and His teachings in ancient America. Joseph translated these plates into what we now call the Book of Mormon.
Through Joseph, God restored His Church, the priesthood, and important ordinances like baptism and the sacrament. This restoration helps us know how to follow Jesus, receive blessings, and return to live with Heavenly Father.
This story reminds us that God loves us, answers prayers, and wants everyone to know His gospel.
