tecnically the "true mirror" is the one that reverses things. a real mirror puts everything in the exact place it is when the true mirror puts them how people assume things should be but it actually reverses things lol
Moreover, they both flip the image relative to their plane (e.i. front to back), which in regular mirror tricks our brain into thinking it was flipped left to right. The true mirror flips the image twice (left to right AND front to back) which has the same effect as rotating 180°
@@katrina232no. The „true“ mirror shows, how other people see you, but a normal mirror does not flip the image, it‘s because your point of view is reverse to how you could read sth for example on your shirt
@@katrina232 no, it’s how you would look like if your front and back were switched (which has the same effect to our brain as if your left and right were switched and then you were rotated 180°) It becomes more intuitive if you hold a pen in front of a mirror. You’ll see that the tip of the pen aligns with the tip of the pen’s reflection, which proves that regular mirror doesn’t flip left to right but rather front to back.
A mirror doesn't show you what you look like to others. If I raise my right hand, my reflection raises his left hand. If I wrote a word and then flipped it around to show others, they could still read the word left to right, but the mirror shows the word from right to left. "oh damn i still look like trash."
😂😂
tecnically the "true mirror" is the one that reverses things. a real mirror puts everything in the exact place it is when the true mirror puts them how people assume things should be but it actually reverses things lol
Moreover, they both flip the image relative to their plane (e.i. front to back), which in regular mirror tricks our brain into thinking it was flipped left to right. The true mirror flips the image twice (left to right AND front to back) which has the same effect as rotating 180°
so what u see in a regular mirror is what u actually look like?
@@katrina232no. The „true“ mirror shows, how other people see you, but a normal mirror does not flip the image, it‘s because your point of view is reverse to how you could read sth for example on your shirt
@@katrina232 no, it’s how you would look like if your front and back were switched (which has the same effect to our brain as if your left and right were switched and then you were rotated 180°)
It becomes more intuitive if you hold a pen in front of a mirror.
The reflected light is not in the same orientation as the incident light
