Arif bhai, I would like to suggest something that is lurking in my mind for sometime. Isn't it a good time to document some/all bandishes from Ustad Bade Fateh Ali Khan (patiala) in the form of text and short audio clips of each from him, so that we can save this treasure trove while we can for the future generations? I have heard that he carries many rare and superb bandishes that only he knows, which are from the past (and some from the legendary Alia Fattu duo) .. most of the stuff that has completely faded away. Sadly, none from his family has learnt all of them. It will really be a great service. What do you suggest?
Saifuddin Abdullah it is a wonderful idea. as you are probably quite aware firstly these Ustad's often are somewhat secretive about their khaandaani bandishein, so there is an assumption there that he would be willing to share for posterity. However it is a truly worthwhile suggestion that one should explore. We could only know response if we asked him. it is a huge task but a worthy one.
Exactly. I am very confident and sure that he is very kind at heart (a thing I have heard from more than one people). I know the `secretive` business, but we can make a humble suggestion: whatever he wants us to document, we can go with it and try to extract as much as possible. For the rest, we can request him to at least pass to someone so that these gems are not gone. This single step can change things.
Saifuddin Abdullah ji koshish karein ge. mujhe ye mehsoos hota hai ke aisi baat agar kisi se kii jaye to pehle se un se zara purani jaan pehchan ki zaroorat hai. otherwise it is difficult to inspire such confidence that the artist will present you with his entire treasure.
Shehzad saheb tks for the comment. coming from a friend i'm sure he will take it in that spirit. In my humble opinion it is the affects of the taankari unique to the Multani Kaafi andaz (which he loves) that infiltrated into the Kalavati :-D
@@engr.h.mbasirijaz1249 I don’t understand Urdu, sorry, but I think you are saying that Ali Akbar is up there, which I agree - no one has the same finesse and sophistication as the Amir Khan influenced gaayki as Ustad Ali Akbar
Ustad ji is superb here and almost whenever he sings he is superb but only for first 10 min as soon as he starts those huge untuneful taans it becomes hard to understand why is he doing when he has such beauty his father in his peak never did taans like these , inke father ki gamak ki taan mein Sur dikhta tha , but Mai jab bhi ustad ji ko yeh taan lete hue sunta hoon to bahut dukh hota hai , because i know he is far better than this
