The Oupes 1800 is a solid deal even at list price, but with Prime Day pricing running through July 21, 2023...it's pretty much the best I've seen this year on a no-frills power station.
Find it on Amazon US: amzn.to/4393q7a
or direct from Oupes.com: shrsl.com/44z9q

Off all the power stations I own, the Oupes 1800 is my absolute favorite. I use it to run our coffee maker daily and some additional lights in the kitchen. I can usually get about 3 to 4 days out of it before it needs charging. It's relatively light-weight compared to the other larger power stations and very simple to use. I like that it has the handle down the middle for one-hand carrying. It charges quickly with the two Oupes 240 watt solar panels. I currently own all the Oupes power stations except the Mega 5. Oupes really stands behind their products.
Thank goodness someone is still reviewing these lesser-known no-frills power stations. With the "Big Three" dominating the media market, people need reviews like these to know they can get lesser-known but just as reliable PPSs at a very good price. Thanks, David!
Ha-ha. What YOU don't know will hurt you. The reason that any brand jumped to the top is FEATURES. Nothing more, nothing less. Actually there is no such thing as the big 3. There are several well-known brands then there's EcoFlow which is the Cadillac of power stations.
Nice thorough review. I have the Oupes 600 and have been impressed with it. Also, clever poster on RUclips - "Oupes, I did it again". I smiled at that one.
Very nice video ! Thank you !
Good Vid! As an owner of about 5 months using this oroduct, for what it does you cant beat the Price!!! Great VALUE for the Cost! A Solid Purchase!
Yes, you can easily beat the price. This is grossly overpriced for what you get. No internal AC charger puts this in the category of Fred Flintstone-prehstoric. Only 200 watts rated charging?? Are you kidding?
@@aday1637 Massive storm swept through south west Detroit. 4 days with no POWER! Luckily im a prepper with oupes 1488 snd the Jackery 1002 and an assorment of smaller generators they WENT TO WORK! Icceco 40qt, microwave wave and induction hot plate all were FULLY OPERATIONAL DO TO THE AVAILABILITY OF MY EMERGENCY PREPS!! They did what they were advertised to do and thats all that matters 😅😂😅2
That's a really low weight for 1488 Wh of LFP power, and less than 50 cents per watt! I think we have a winner! Thanks for the informative review:)
Not so.
Nice review. I like the way you test them out under real world conditions. Especially the simultaneous input/output test. That can be an issue with some. Looks like a great product for the money. Thanks.
Dang it! I already own so many diff stations but when one goes sub $0.50/wh my wallet runs and hides
Have an 1800W unit, a 1200W unit, and am getting another 1200W unit. As a senior woman with some back issues, the 1200W unit is easier for me to haul outside to charge up with my folding solar panels. Nice products, had great service when the big unit had a display problem, and Oupes replaced it quickly when I sent photos of the problem.
I use the 2400 watt card for my 1800 Oupes unit. I eventually want to get the 2400 for the house and I can them use the 1800 for the garage controller and the upright freezer.
Utah Jeff …, I bought 2 of the 600 units about 1.5 years ago and I am in the market for a larger unit. Power stations have made a giant leap in tech and there are features I am looking for 1. UPS feature 2 warranty of 5-6 years …Oupes warranty is all online… by email … it took 4 months to process a warranty request… I do use my power stations every day and it was a game changer while camping.
Lots of good info to work with, very helpful. thanks
Another nice review, thanks.
It is a big battery for the price and is one more option for the range. The lack of internal charging (has a power brick) as well as the low input AC charge (200 watts) and only 30 VDC input pushes me to either the Bluetti AC180 or the Renogy Phoenix 1000.
Similar price, ($799 and $750), both are slightly less Wh batteries but internal charging and fast charging as both reach 80% in under 1 hour.
Another currently at $799 is the Ecoflow Delta 2.
@@Sylvan_dB - Really? I don't remember it being that low. I know they just had a sale going on, but the Delta 2 is almost $1,000.
@@annwithaplan9766 It was. For a week or two leading up to and during prime day. I'd been shoppping and finally settled on Ecoflow. Had to decide Delta 2 or Delta 2 Max. I chose the Max during a prime day special.
Thank you for this review! I think having a lower end off brand back up to a higher brand is great value if your taking long road trips off grid a short while thank you for reviewing super helpful, Im looking at this and there 2400w for possible use of small low watt microwave I only wish Ida caught this during prime days but its still a great money value thanks again.
Looks like an EcoFlow LCD screen to me. Great review as always.
Nice review thank you.
Thanks Judy! :)
thank you for you're review it's a shame I can not get this in Australia
Thanks...and sorry! I need to start trying to find some options that would be available 'down under' as well. :P
Is there a way to connect two of these in parallel? I am looking for something not too heavy for a handicapper senior but to power my RV overnight with some air conditioner use. EcoFlow and others make a piggyback battery, but are quite expensive.
I Own It😊
can you do a video on solar charging with different panels I found some 400W panels. if I had two of these in series would that still work with this powerstation?
What size would i need in a 16by80 foot home. ?
HI THERE WILL THIS OPERATE A 2000 PSI ELECTRIC PRESSURE WASHER
Great video. What is the make and model and LRA (Locked Rotor Amps) rating of your Dual-hose portable A/C? Is it an inverter compressor type? Thanks. I like it when the reviewer tests these Power Stations with high surge loads to see if it can really handle it or not.
It's a Newair NAC14KWHD3. The LRA is 51A
@@ReeWrayOutdoors Wow, that is great the power station can handle LRA that high.
When you spoke with Oupes reps, did they tell you where the company is? Their website says their warehouse is in California, but their customer service hours are 8:30pm to 6am and the emails I’ve received from them are broken English. I have trouble trusting a company that is not up front about who they are and where they are. Things just don’t add up.
Dumb question guys: No experience with anything like this ever, but is it possible the solar power in combination with power stations is approaching a
combined price of less than 2500.00 now to run a 8000 to 12,000 BTU Window air conditioner 24/7 from May to August ?
Hi, can you attach an 24v external battery for extended run time?
Yep. That would work.
I'm new to portable power 🤔 And am looking mostly at Emergency use, with that in mind which would be the better bang $$ and setup Convenience with the 1800 watt with the 4 x100 watt panels OR 2 x 240 watt panels, so would the extra $$$ be worth the investment ?? I'm wanting to take advantage of the July sale on your Amazon channel! Thanks in advance for your time and help. BH
I would definitely say that it's much easier to deal with fewer panels than more panels. If you can get good pricing deal on the 240W panels, a couple of those would be a great match-up, plugging 1 into each DC7909 port . Just keep in mind, whichever way you go, that you don't want to connect panels in series to this power station as you'll easily exceed the 30V input max and risk damaging the charge controller. So it's parallel only....which is also what you get when you plug a panel into each of the 2 DC7909 inputs.
Thank you so much for the quick response, I'll go with that. Really appreciate your channel!!
Have you done any further testing or usage with the Daranener unit? They sent me an email offer to get it for $699, but im on the fence since it seems to have a few quirks. Any thoughts?
$699 for the 2000W Neo 2000? If so, that's a pretty compelling deal. I think if you're in the market for 2000W/2000Wh, it's going to be hard to beat that. The 1 thing that's a bit of an unknown is that it's still not an established brand...so hard to know if they'll still be in business a few years from now. I'm guessing that's why they're discounting so heavily...trying to establish some marketshare. I'd say they have average build quality. Not the best I've seen...but also not the worst by far.
@@ReeWrayOutdoors They are running a coupon deal for $749, when I abandoned my cart Daranener emailed me an additional offer for the $699 price. The Pecron e2000lfp is also on sale for just over $800 with coupon codes. looks like there are deals to be had this week with companies trying to cash in on prime day.
You lost me at "200 watt charger brick"
1488wh...liFePo... and only 31lbs? And relatively small (if you ignore the obnoxious molded handle).
This or the Vtoman Jump 1800 better value and build quality?
Man, with that big Amazon coupon the Jump 1800 has on it right now...it's a tough call. Keep in mind that the Jump 1800 has a 200W solar input limit, which COULD be a deal breaker depending on your priorities. But it's also got battery expansion, which might be nice...also depending on your priorities. I would say they are very similar build qualities, and so it mostly comes down to which features you prioritize. If you absolutely need to be able to recharge in a full day or less or sun via solar...the Oupes 1800 would be the better choice between the 2. If not...I might go with the Jump 1800.
Some one said they didn't like the non standard solar panel connectors!😲
What constitutes 'standard'? On rigid panels MC4 is clearly standard. However, on portable panels, there are all kinds of connectors. DC7909 is one of the more common ones along with Anderson and XT60. So much so that most portable panels come with adapters for all of those.
@@ReeWrayOutdoors I heard some one say he didn't like it because it didn't have MC4 connectors
@wallychambe1587 the power station? I've never seen a power station with integrated MC4 connectors. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're referring to?
Went to Amazon site and it appears that the $719.00 price does not include the AC charging brick. Its a $99.00 option, whats up??
I'm sure it comes with ONE charge brick...I'm pretty sure that's just an option to buy a second to double charging speeds.
Well we will see in a couple of weeks, I ordered one
@@ReeWrayOutdoors
I received mine on Weds this week, it came with the brick & 12v car charger.
Yep came with power brick
