- We are at a position in this series now to build around our young players. Starting with our 1st rounder from Season 1 in Bill Hedger and now with a generational prospect catcher Luis Avila. Avila might not be ready for the bigs right away, but we have some decisions to make on some key free agents and position battles across the diamond. This offseason is everything!

Great vladdy storyline and nice low key signings / trade (prolly coulda gotten more from walker but he is aging so still realistic)
I think you let luis develop in AAA for a bit to get those + on the attributes against easier comp

… I thought no big superstars?!? I like the walker trade…. Cavale signing and arroyo. But the vlad signing just doesn’t make sense….following his dad’s footsteps does. But like idk. ITLL GROW ON ME! lol. Feel like it takes from hedger…..less you intend to swap them out as hedger grows his bat at DH.
I think that if you have a very good start to the season, then you should definitely look at trading for a big name outfielder. Nobody in the outfield right now, I think is really proven enough to be an every day starter if you really want to compete.
Issue with trading for a big name outfielder is that it would be against what this series is about. The old expos were cheap and never wanted to pay anybody. So developing stars without spending a ton of money will be the key. If there is a cheap bigger name, then it’s possible
I like that you're willing to invest in great storylines and do interesting things/take risks. Don't understand why more major league teams don't irl, guess they don't like winning?
I think it’s a money thing, they know people would still go and see games even when teams suck. Look at the Rockies for example

I do think Davila should get some opportunities to start the year, but maybe only for a few weeks (if he's not doing well, he can go to AAA, if he's doing well, play it by month).
Not saying Davila should be automatically your starting catcher, but he definitely should see some Major League action to start the season.

I normally would rather sign Naylor and keep the draft pick but man bringing Vladdy to the Expos is too got for the storyline not to do it!

There is just a ton of potential on this team, we are certainly taking a risk dropping our first round pick it’s gonna be high but I’m not upset about it getting a 98 overall 27 year old is insane any first round pick would take at least 8 years to get to that point. I can’t wait for the next few season this team is only gonna grow absolutely nasty stuff
I thought it was worth the risk so hopefully it pays off and yeah the time to wait for the pick to be elite would be a long time, and bringing Vladdy home seems too much to pass up

Can someone explain to me why trade Walker for a 77 overall C potential and 69 overall player? Why does that make sense?
love the team, and i think fireworks will come sooner than later. I however disagree with the walker trade or rather the destination. since they have ohtani and freeman who are the two players blocking him i just dont think its fair for a guy with his skillset to become a depthpiece even if its for a powerhouse like the dodgers
I get it, I tried to find a destination that would yield a decent return, they were the only team which made sense financially and had assets to give back
Exactly what I was thinking, horrible trade for the Dodgers. Also what are they doin, signing Bichette while having Mookie and Lux at SS (might have to help out and change one of those to 2nd base) and they letting Will Smith sign within the division with the Giants.
U got 4 catchers and 3 1bman in ur whole organization lol how does that work? I get a lot of 3B can play first but u can’t have only one aa and one aaa catcher🤣

I'd keep Davila in the minors for the year. The reason for this is Hedger is going to win Rookie Of The Year hopefully. You can have that happen, have Davila win minor leaguer of the year, and then have Davila come in and win Rookie Of The Year next year. It's better to space out your Rookie Of The Year candidates for maximum boosts

Great off-season!! Can’t believe Higgy didn’t resign with us! Vlad Jr is going to be awesome! Pitching rotation still worries me but the pen is looking steady. I think besides Vlad, Arroyo might be the sleeper star next year! Let’s get it! Let’s go!!
I like Arroyo, I’m glad we picked him up, he will get probably 300 or so at bats just based on his versatility alone

Career obp Gibbs has poor plate skills it goes on n on. Mitchell Vado and pereira is prob ur best 3 of guys and that’s not sayin much
