I have tears in my eyes... you're doing wonderful things Dukk. When God remove ppl from your life it's for a reason. You're a inspiration. Aspire to inspire
It was so wonderful to learn more about your story. I sporadically pray for you. I've watched your MASSIVE growth and know that bigger and badder things are in God's pipeline for you. Be blessed and keep the laughs coming. Laughs are what get me out of bed when I'm having a painful flare up. KISSES!!
Indy this was very inspirational and you have touched my heart. I'm taking your advice and leaving everything negative behind in 2013. Especially, with my biological dad. I also, found my dad on Facebook and for two years he made it seem like we were going to have a good relationship with one another, but I decided that I will stop contacting him. If God truly wants him in my life, he will make it work. Keep doing great things! Ee-Yo!
I am so proud of you for opening up about your situation with finding your biological Dad. It takes a lot for someone to be that open up to the whole world about something so personal. You have great things coming to you for the future.
I've been in that same position. I haven't seen or spoken to my dad since I graduated high school and he didn't show up after he purchased plane tickets to come. I went to college never hearing from him. Around my Junior year I found my cousin only cousin on my father's side on Facebook. From what I know she doesn't know I exist. But while looking through her pictures I saw my dad at her college graduation. I wanted him at mine so he would be proud of me. So the beginning of my senior year (Oct of 2012) I wrote him a letter about how I felt. He never wrote back, called, or emailed me. None of my contacts have changed. I've been heart broken since then. But this video made me realize I've done so much without him, graduate high school and college, write a musical, perform in travelling plays and concert choirs, fall in love with a great young man and I didn't need him. Thank you for this video.
Wow! That was awesome. Job well done. You were transparent and showed a side that most keep stored away. You never know what somebody is going through and also who is watching, even from a far. I pray that you continue to be at a place of healing with the situation with your dad. Give EVERYTHING to God. Things that you can't handle and even the one's you feel like you can. You have a calling on your life and you have to change a lot of things in your life and let go of some. Totally give your life to God and you will be wowed of what will happen. Ppl follow you so make sure you lead them the right way. Again Job Well Done, that was really touching.
Wow!!! Thank you for sharing something personal with us. Thank you for the laughs and sharing your talent with us. You truly have a gift and I always know I can count in you or any of your friends to make me laugh. Be blessed!
This video definitely hit home for me. I often wonder why my real father never was around and didn't care about me. I remember one conversation I had with him when I was in 3rd grade and he told me to describe myself and I was like are you serious?!?! I'm thankful for all the males in my life who helped me find my true worth and I've learned that life is definitely about taking advantage of the great blessings in life and not the downfalls. Him not being around will only make you a better man!! Your talent is amazing and it will only get better!!! Love you and this video!!!!
Man....you're great!!! Shoot you have dominated and made yourself into something great with God's blessing and love!!! I've gone through that same battle with a mom who doesn't show love to me for 30 some odd years.
Great video. I appreciate your transparency. Your ability to publicly speak about your issues is indicative of your growth. I grew up with my father who was far from perfect, so though I've never been in your shoes I can empathize with your struggle. The hardest thing for any of us to talk about is pain, especially from our childhood. As children our loved ones teach us to suppress our pain by telling us that everything is ok. Those issues manifest into our relationships with others as well as ourself, just as you said. It's so healthy to let go of things you can't change our control. Thank you so much for shedding light on an overlooked issue that affects our community! Happy New Year!
I'm glad you got that off your chest I am going through the same thing so I do understand what u out have going in as well but I just stop looking and put it in God's hands and I said if it's ready ment for me to meet him God will bring us together but is not going to continue my life it's not like anything will change now Much love Dre....
very dope video, you aint give up fan, like u said u let go and most importantly you let God. he's a father to the fatherless. everything we need and more
I know how you feel man. Mine left out too, but its all good. That's on them, not us. Can't let things stop you from being successful in life. If they wanna miss out? Cool. Yeah it hurts but God puts obstacles and situations in our lives to help us become a better adult. Just keep your head up and continue staying blessed and hope you have a great year.
We love you Dukk2 and yes that was the best scene on The Freshman Prince then and now. Got me in Chic Foil A all teary eyed right now. Keep Blessing up with your laughs
God bless you!!!! I am so happy and proud of you that you opened up about your biological father. Many cannot do that and you were brave enough to do so. You are a great human being and keep the faith :)
I really like this video. I love how you make us laugh, but I also loved how you show your serious side and generous heart. I can relate to not having a relationship with your own father and definitely that fresh prince scene. Which is why I am grateful for the real life Phillip Bank's that played a role in my life and always told me to never make my father's issues my own and that it was his lost. I'll say the same to you. You are doing the right thing by letting go and letting God, it is definitely your fathers loss. Your doing great things continue to prosper.
That scene from the fresh prince is one of the most touching scenes ever. Makes me cry. I thank God for the man I claim as my father because he raised me well. In my heart he is my biological father!
Damn son. I forgot about that scene. I know it don't make it feel better but as Karen Clarke-Sheard said....your misery has lead to your ministry. Your jokes have brightened my day all the time. Especially about Iotas because it is so true about us.
Very inspirational, stay positive and keep God first everything else will fall into place. God Bless
