So much fun!!! I think you underrated some of the early ITV idents a bit but my result would have been similar. Makes me sad that TV presentation is so homogenous today and these kinds of regional idents aren't being produced anymore.
For me, it's the ITV idents. There's just something special about them to me. Probably because of the fact that some places in New Zealand look like bits of the United Kingdom.
That seems, that PBS from US won in this competition, with a 20-points lead to the ITV, notably due to very great WGBH's (now branded as GBH) ident from 1977 and it's remake from 2001.
You did show an LWT one from the mid 1980s called solari, that was only ever shown on regional opt outs. Otherwise it was folding letters. I was partial to the LWT videowall as well. I would say pbs in the latter years but feel the ITV did have regional stations and each one was great. You missed a few good ones.
Favourite UK ident, Harlech, very trippy. Favourite US ident WFSU Tallahassee, the music for that one sounds like it could be from an episode of Columbo or some other 70's telly.
The 1965 Scottish Television spinning lion rampant ident was quickly taken off as the Lord Lyon an official that is responsible for Scottish coats of arms and heraldry complained and was amended with a zooming lion rampant instead
i believe the uk and pretty much the rest of the world don't have separate callsigns for all of their channels because they don't see the point of it. i think the point of callsigns is to identify the area where the tv station is located cuz usa has 4 major tv channels and usa is big asl
We did have separate callsigns for ITV stations, though. These are them. We don't have anymore because Carlton and Granada bought up all the others then merged into 1 ITV.
I think ITV might have put in a better showing had you included some idents from TVS, Westcountry or Meridian, but once ITV webt generic, PBS was laways going to win.
I find it really strange that you gave static PBS idents 7/10 whist static ITV idents 4-5/10, and I find it extremely strange that you underrated some od the earlier ITV idents. I guess thats bias for you.

This is cool! I kinda wanna see the comparisons of NBC and BBC logos now.
Finally you released a video on this topic. Keep making comparisons :D
Finally, you've uploaded one of your old series :D

Wow, nice video Iri!
17:10 I never seen that variant before.
You missed some Central ITV intro in mid to late 1980's. They are very advance in 3d motion graphic, rather than the other regional ITV.
PBS (America) vs. ITV (British) Idents Comparison
Noticed that MAJORITY were PBS endboards not the channel Idents!
Favourite UK ident, Harlech, very trippy. Favourite US ident WFSU Tallahassee, the music for that one sounds like it could be from an episode of Columbo or some other 70's telly.
Motion Graphics Comparison coming back?! I thought you stopped it in 2021.
Interesting comparison. ITV is more original (at least initially) but PBS had a larger budget.
The 1965 Scottish Television spinning lion rampant ident was quickly taken off as the Lord Lyon an official that is responsible for Scottish coats of arms and heraldry complained and was amended with a zooming lion rampant instead

CP1973 old intro.
I think it should be almost look like a MGC II episode,
Can you do the Spanish TV idents compilation?
Ah yes, America and Britain are there's enemies according to the fans of Countryballs.
1:51 JontyMaster Mentioned: 😳
And also in the _Teen Titans Go!_ episode "Hot Salad Water".
I wonder if the PBS stations had some 'networked' content in addition to local shows?
ITV wins imo
When is it said Boston did it say Boston, Lincolnshire or Boston, Massachusetts
Btw are you going to make more comparison videos?
Stay tuned.

Do you want to compare polish TV graphics with those of other Vysehrad Group countries (like TVP vs former CST vs DUNA Hungary)?
I am definitely looking forward to making some comparison like that. I wasn't able to do it before along with many other European countries
@@TheIridiumic138Well Next its Gtrk (Russia) Vs Tvp
Interesting how you're comparing public TV in the US and commercial TV in the UK.
I think ITV might have put in a better showing had you included some idents from TVS, Westcountry or Meridian, but once ITV webt generic, PBS was laways going to win.
Do OPB vs SO PBS (oregon public broadcasting vs southern oregon pbs)
You forgot WTVI
Is Tyne Tees broadcast in North Yorkshire
oh no, no motion graphics comparison intro?
... who would say that they are very similar

Lmao throughout the years PBS's logos started getting more generic-looking. ITV (especially the 80s-00s) look more high-quality and lively
Do abc vs bbc
Meke video of television Ukraine vs television Japan
Max
Massive spoilers for the outcome

Well PBS had a runaway win, though I do believe if ITV had some less static idents they'd probably win
Kcet vs Wcet
