The original recording has been pitched down a whole tone to accommodate the standard diatonic Boomwhacker set.

It's a bit of a laborious process, especially the first few times.
1) I play the boomwhacker parts into Garage Band using a midi keyboard.
2)Then I export the resulting midi file into a piano learning app called Synthesia, which creates the falling tic-tac thingees. In Synthesia, the falling tic-tacs are all green.
3) I take a screen capture from Synthesia and import into a video editing workstation (I use DaVinci Resolve)
4) In Resolve, I add the Boomwhacker graphics
5) In Resolve I change the colours of the falling tic-tacs by placing coloured bars underneath the lanes the tic-tacs are falling and removing the tic-tacs themselves with a green screen remover.
