  • In this Range Talk season ending bonus episode, Roger Steele Sr. “Pops” (retired Chicago police officer) and Roger Jr. (swaggy son of his Hero father) meet up at Columbus Park for Father’s Day. We know it’s a little late but all good things take time! Yeah, they have a very "TV family" moment in the beginning but like a lot of Father/Son relationships it’s about what was done not said when we were growing up. We hear it all from them.
After the touching moment that you will NEVER SEE AGAIN ON CAMERA they get into golf on the west side of Chicago at “Columbus Park Country Club”; It was more than golf, it was bonding with unlikely friends, a sanctuary to keep young men around positive influences, and the introduction to a game that shaped their future. I think we can all relate.
Since Roger’s future is brighter than ever and he got Pops hooked up at Pebble I think they’re finally even.
We’re going to end this with Pops Words of Wisdom; “Parents, if you don’t take the time, the streets will” Remember that.
    See y’all in Season 2!

Roger Steele Sr. helped our CEO learn to play the game at Columbus Park Golf Course. He took her under his wing and is a hero to most people who know him. Congrats Roger Steele Jr. on an amazing episode.

Got to the game just like pops, but the only difference was that I learned on the course. The more difficult the more I was hooked. Lost many of balls but when I look back at it, wouldn’t change it. It’s the game that keeps giving lessons. Most humbling sport there is. Wish I was introduced at an earlier age but better late than never... I’m here now!

This was the best range session video ever! I started playing golf in the 80's to spend time with my pops. Except I was the police officer. He was a Vet and life long mechanic but we never communicated until we had clubs in our hands. Love your content, your game and look forward to watching all your past, present and future videos.

This is why fatherhood is so important in a child’s life, especially, a boy. The media doesn’t give us much credit, in fact, it portrays fatherhood as either unimportant or idiots. But history tells us that it is vitally important in a child’s life. Thank you Roger Steele, Sr. for understanding this and raising your son right, especially, in the face of adversity from many who look like you. Kudos to you Jr. for thanking him for his sacrifice for you. Callaway, give Mr. Steele a proper fitting for a bag of new clubs.

Real conversation. You may not follow your fathers footsteps into the force. You can repay him by following his footsteps as a father. I have enjoyed this conversation and it almost painful to think of the amount of people in that area who needed what you were blessed to receive. Keep it up
