@@anightshadeguyman5089 I know but 2000s trends almost NEVER get referenced in modern media So it's nice that this games soundtracks keeps the 2000s spirit alive
@@popcultureoverdosed agreed. Part of the reason I love stuff like Durarara!! (That's the brand name not over excitement) It just capsulates that early to mid 2000s. Where the internet was just blowing up and there was still the transition between seeing standard cellphones and smartphones.
No wonder why it didn't reach a goal. Many people are still not even aware that TWEWY: Neo exists. Recently I asked my friend about his opinion on a sequel. He was a huge fan of the original TWEWY when it was a new thing, but dropped his interest a few years ago. He was all like "Wha? There was a sequel? What are you talking about?". This is a perfect example of why marketing is such an important part. Like, this game got a trailer, was mentioned during E4, and... I believe that's it. This is sad, especially considering that Japan got a far better marketing campaign. Can see why, but that's just... why?
I come back to this meme every few days because it always gets a chuckle out of me. I hope square doesn't abandon the TWEWY ip when it was their own fault for not advertising it
As an explanation: As I see it all of these themes are about the feelings of the characters e.g. breaking free being about Rindo who feels forced into a situation in which he got assigned as the leader although he does not like to make decisions thus not being the perfect person others want him to be. (Although I can relate more to the Interpretation in your comment)

Neo TWEWY: creates one of the best video game soundtracks in the past decade
