Owners definitely appreciated beautiful wood!!!! I really enjoyed seeing this house!! The garage was really nice too!! I noticed a very old screen door in the loft too❤️. Love that stuff❤️❤️. Great video!!!! Sad they tore it down. Be safe!! Pam❤️
I feel gutted over this one being demolished. It was absolutely gorgeous. All that natural stone and the craftsmanship going into the garage. Would have been great to repurpose that garage. And the selling price too...
I know, the price of that property was pretty surprising. Not sure why this home didn't receive heritage status, certainly was unique and we'll taken care of, it wouldn't have taken much to make it livable again!
Hi James 👋I’m loving the whole wall fireplace 😁There is stuff left behind too James 😊a lots of wallpaper as well 😳 Great find too 👍I’m loving this place very much 🤩Wow so many room in this house too 😋Thank you for sharing this video and I really enjoyed this one James 😎 I love all the fireplaces ✌️
What an awesome house! I loved the ceilings, and all the wood, and that kitchen was gorgeous! How sad that it was demolished! You make great videos, and the photos are fabulous! 😊 Thanks so much!
Eventhough this place is abandoned, it is still in amazing condition and I'd move in tomorrow if I could! I was so happy to see no damage due to vandalism and was pleasantly surprised to see a few nice things left behind. Thanks for bringing us along on this one! I really enjoyed it!!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed this one!! I am constantly amazed when a house like this gets demolished, it would make more sense to me to repurpose it given the history.
I love how curious your walk throughs are. The little dogs on the bathroom wallpaper were so cute but such a bizarre choice. Same with the cats near the basement door. I do love all the clashing patterns and colours. The paint choices. The different wood used throughout. All the different shaped sinks. How no permanent fixtures like closets were made the same. The storage capacity in this place is phenomenal. All the big light fixtures being bold colours! The Stephen King books just standing upright on the fireplace in a wood and stone room is just so moody it's a vibe. I can only imagine how many belongings the people who would live here would have to accumulate to fill it all up. The first room so so deceptive with windows on either side. I thought the house would be so small. But then there's a huge 4 bay loft work shed. The butterflies and all the windows and tins of paint. What an interesting personality in the collection of left behind objects. I also love how respectful you are to the homes, the belongings, and the people who previously lived in these places. I love abandoned places but sometimes people don't realise they're left behind (or dirty) because of accidents, illness, mental health, or deaths.
Thank you very much for watching and the comment!! You certainly did pay attention while watching the video, you noticed some things that even i didnt! It certainly was a really nice home at one time and it's a shame that it was demolished recently!
Absolutely LOVED this video! I liked the house alot but not so much her choice of wallpaper and colors but it was her house so that is her choice. I love all the wood it's beautiful to me. The car shop was amazing and I am a female lol ! How nice it must have been to live here. Man place lol and the woman has her place. I love it! I enjoyed the old stuff they had displayed as well, just a amazing place to me overall. 🎉 Thanks for sharing.
I completely agree with you, both the house and the shop were amazing! The property that went along with it was great too. Glad you enjoyed it as well and thanks very much for your comment!!
Great explore JH. I absolutely love the garage. I could sure use that space. Hahaha when you got a total of 4 vehicles. It comes in handy. Man im missing the toilet shots LMAO 😆😆😆. But the cowboy hat kinda took the edge off. Big Hugs from Alberta
I would have liked to have seen a “ walk around” the outside of the house, to better see where the original structure was and where that add ins began , loved the video, not criticizing, just making a suggestion, for us older folks! Lol. In my younger years I explored all the time, but that was back when there were no cellphones & a video camera was $1000 bucks and the size of a box! lol . So now I enjoy exploring vicariously thru RUclips . Thanks again !
I will keep that in mind for future videos! I did include the exterior images of the home though which does give you an idea of where the addition was, you can also see the stills on my facebook page as well which is linked in the description. Glad you like the videos and thanks for the comment!!
Wow very interesting..I was gonna shut it off about half way thru because I had to get supper, but I left it paused and came back and so glad I did because it was an incredible place. Wow...great find bro....
I live those kind of washing machines. I’ve got an old Maytag set that’s still going strong after 22 years! They don’t make ‘em like they used to that’s for sure
It's decorated totally like the 1980s with the peach and the green kind of thing and all of the wood. That was a Norman Rockwell plate my grandmother used to collect them in the 1980s, I still have them all
@@StaticSpaces Yes, those were Norman Rockwell plates. My mom got them for me starting in 1980. My collection is up to 58. They are for all different seasons and occasions. I’ll pass them down to my kids and their families. They’re worth some $$$$. I hope someone went through the buildings and removed the collectibles. The chairs match my grandparents set of six. So many goodies!!! Great explore from a new subscriber. Pris ~ Brielle, New Jersey USA 🇺🇸
Great find, love the field stone. The checkered floor room with a saloon door reminded me of a beauty shop. Could be the ladies had their hair done while the men talked about fast cars and the automobile had an oil change 🤔. Did the house seem chopped up a bit? Some of the rooms seemed pretty small. Loved the tour ❤ Thank you!
No, it didn't look like they had done any renovations to the home other than the addition onto the back. A lot of older farmhouses built in that era had smaller rooms than what we have today. Glad you enjoyed the video!!
Ya, it really did have that warm and cozy cabin feeling to it. Not sure I remember what the kitchen ceiling looked like but probably nothing special. Thanks for the comment!!
17:46 This light fixture gives off the illusion of a whirling soft marshmallow looking liquid oozing through small wooden opening in the ceiling from the attic, i like it, it is strange.
This is an exceptionally nice farmhouse. A bit overdone on the wallpaper but it was professionally papered. I think the wallpaper gives it the smaller-than-outside impression, a cozy, warm impression. It really has quite a neat put together feel and it looks so well cared for and maintained. This is a jewel of a property. I have all kinds of conjecture regarding the people who lived and ran this business, I suppose because their personalities ( especially hers!) are so strongly stamped on the place. I have the vision of a very put together woman who loved her home and was proficient at the bookkeeping and accounting and a sensual side. If there was a husband living with her, he didn't leave much of a mark in the house did he? A stray shoe here and there, the can of shaving cream in the garage. He did the bodywork and she did the house. Brains and Brawn. Occasionally toss back some Pelee Pebbles Red whilst soaking in the tub. Those little drawers - lingerie, gloves, hosiery? Women love those pink bulbs 'cause they help produce a very becoming pink complexion. That kitchen is fantastic. Pink doors, Oy, but OK, paint can be repainted. I saw that one of those keys was labeled "bunkhouse". They may have had a guest house kind of thing going as well. I liked the video because it gives such strong insights into these people. Good work.
Well you certainly made what seem to be some very accurate observations! The bunkhouse, i remember seeing it was more like a glorified shed, wither that or maybe it was the section of the garage building that was somewhat set up as a living space. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the comment!!
Thanks, there were some photos of the outside included at the beginning of the video, also the thumbnail is of the house as well. Thanks for the comment!!
I think the garage is exactly that... a mechanical garage to have your car fixed by mechanics. If it were an auto body garage as you say at 24:43 there would be a paint booth and I don't recall seeing one? MO
That house and the car garage were cool. I love the wood, I'd lose the wallpaper, carpet, most of the light fixtures and change the paint. What were they thinking with the pink kitchen doors? Very nice place. Too bad it will be torn down. 😞
I've just found you ,and am enjoying your videos! I have to ask you , are you exploring by yourself??? This place makes me feel kinda funny. . . Maybe cuz some areas were so dark. .
I explore on my own about half the time. I actually prefer it that way because then i can take my time and get the coverage i am looking for. Ya the house was pretty dark because it was almost completely boarded unfortunately. Welcome! Glad you found my channel and thanks for the comment!!
Pink light is easier on the eyes for all genders........it does not cause the strain that white bulbs do and pink does not colour everything like other coloured bulbs. Love the Scottie wall paper-----recently was in an upscale hotel in NY that had the same plaid on the feature wall behind the bed.
Oh interesting, i didn't know that about pink light. Orange light has a similar effect and was much better for us before LEDs came around, although they do make higher CRI LEDs at least now. It's funny most people didn't like that plaid wallpaper and now you tell me it was in an upscale hotel. That's the kind of hotel i would like to stay at. Thanks for the comment!!
That metal thing is a flue pipe, not a chimney. That flue could cause a fire without brick or something fireproof behind it. That does not meet code. The shallow drawers are lingerie drawers. The wood ceiling is knoty pine.
Aren’t you a little scare to be in a banded house ? I would be jumping out of my skin every little noise .lol beautiful house though I enjoy your videos I only started watching you a short time ago.
Honestly, i very rarely get scared in these places, i have been doing it for a very long time and i guess you just get used to it. Glad you found my channel and thanks for commenting!!
I believe that the owner of that hat belonged to a group that calls themselves " The Red Hat Ladies ", and are definatly old. So if that woman was the owner, she probably passed away and thus the empty house.
Oh that's a very good point, i have heard of the Red Hat Ladies before but never thought of that! This one was actually bought by a developer to build higher density housing. Thank you so much for the comment!!
It was demolished because it was a large property in an area with potential for redevelopment. Personally i think it should have been a protected heritage property but what can you do. Had some amazing wood and such throughout the house but i agree, some of the decor choices were t to my taste either. Thanks for the comment!!
I like that there is a space for firewood next to the fireplace, so you don’t have to have it in a basket on the floor!
Owners definitely appreciated beautiful wood!!!! I really enjoyed seeing this house!! The garage was really nice too!! I noticed a very old screen door in the loft too❤️. Love that stuff❤️❤️. Great video!!!! Sad they tore it down. Be safe!! Pam❤️

Lots of space to store stuff and tinker. Thanks for the comment!!
I love this house, all the trim, ceilings, floors, fireplace, stone, if they tear it down I hope they will salvage some things out of it.

The images in the intro of the buildings with the stars in the sky (0:32 - 0:37) . That's a really neat effect. Long exposure at night?
