Excited to see you there in CoP! Enjoy your game. Regarding your previous gameplay - I remember that you were sad about Strelok's fate; without much spoilers: wait until the end of CoP and read dialogs! There is also Strelok's stash to discover in CoP. If you're interested, I can send you more details somehow. And oh, the most important: welcome into Stalker world!
@@callmebriebrie Hello, near the radioactive village there is a cemetery with fiery anomalies. Find the fallen unmanned aerial vehicle. This will be a thread about the Strelok. And please don’t rush through the plot, the side quests in this game are very interesting, and the ending will largely depend on them. In this game, water is no longer radioactive, you can walk on it freely, but cars, piles of metal, etc. have become radioactive. I advise you to find a powerful Veles detector and an artifact to output radiation. Veles is still in the same radioactive village with zombies, in the cabin of an excavator. There are artifacts in the Zaton location, one in the Fang anomaly, the other in the dungeon under the burnt out farm. I hope you like this game more than Clear Sky
It's worth taking time to speak to people in the trader/hub areas to start side quests. They're more significant than in the first game, and you'll miss quite a bit if you just go straight for the main mission. Ozersky in the scientist bunker starts one of the coolest quests in the series imo. Also, a little change from the previous games, the "pistol" slot can now hold any weapon.
Brie, thank you for continuing your Stalker journey and sharing with us! All three games have a different atmosphere, and I'm glad you experienced them such that you have your own impression. I'm grateful you're sharing an unedited video so we watchers can see your path, even if this was a path of struggle for some time. Regarding the graphics and other technical elements, many mods for SoC borrow these from CS and CoP. CoP has several dynamic lighting renderers, you might want to switch between them to see how it works on your hardware. Also, the maximal graphics preset should be fine with your GPU, and you can experiment with the distance cutoff and other parameters in the advanced graphics options. 1:35:33 The Bear detector is better than the Echo detector. And there are better detectors later in the game, Bear < Veles < Svarog. Btw, both Veles and Svarog are ancient Slavic gods. 2:19:02 FTOR moment :) In SoC artifact properties were all over the place, all that was simplified in CS and CoP so most artifacts are basically either antirad or radioactive with some benefit. In CS it was possible to equip a healing artifact with several other radioactive ones and just ignore the constant radiation, so your use of Goldfish was not that far-fetched. In CoP artifact properties were adjusted a bit, but I guess it is still possible. 2:20:02 There was just a single dialog about cannibalism in SoC (with no real action), but there is actual cannibalism in this game, just look for side quests :)
Nice seeing Vanilla COP. I was so excited when this released in 2009. I can't believe it's been 15 years since a STALKER release! I always felt like the creators listened to the fanbase and created a more open world, but it still felt kind of empty to me. hoping for great things with STALKER 2. enjoy.
Lol, sympathize with your suffering. You really made an incredible amount of mistakes, but it was still fun to watch. Thank you for starting to go through it. Unfortunately, you may not expect a good ending, because you helped the bandits
My favorite part of this game is the secrets. For example, you can find stalker caches, Strelok notes, collect tools for technicians, and so on. The game rewards attentiveness and leisurely gameplay. My first playthrough was full of bugs too. However, after going through it a few times, you can manage to do all the main and side missions in about 15 hours and get a perfectly good ending.
This is personally my favourite installment in the series. The story and even every side quest feel incredibly unique imo ! Though I still hold Shadow of Chernobyl as the best one objectively.
Call of Pripyat is definitely the game i like the most. Shadow of Chernobyl was too linear story for my taste. Clear Sky is basically just mercenary money grind simulator. Call of Pripyat is the game most of the popular big S.T.A.L.K.E.R mods were built upon.
You messed up on the quest where you kill the stalkers in the boat, that will lock you out of getting the svarog detector that will allow you to see anomalies too, and start you on the route of bad ending, once you got the quest from Sultan, go to beard and tell him about it, then go with the bandits and sabotage them by defeating them, the deal with the duty soldier would've gone differently as the loners would stop the bandits from doing the deal.
@sydbarrett4625Personally, I very much prefer "live" series vs prerecorded videos released on a regular schedule. This way we can provide our feedback each episode, even if that means waiting for an unknown time. Regular uploads would be nice, but we all have lives :)
Call of Pripyat is perhaps the best of the trilogy. Skipping Clear Sky was a good move. If you don't enjoy it, why play it? I almost skipped it too. It's the weakest of the 3 games. C.O.P. is way better, you'll have fun I bet :) Also, 52 days until the new Stalker 2 is out. (The original trilogy is all "stalker 1" according to the devs) That one will be a *very* different game :o Here's a trailer for it: ruclips.net/video/KHYkLI9oXfY/видео.html
U skipped Clear sky, it's actually right choice Zaton means backwater in russian Weird names of stalkers is like 90% diminutive like Temka - Artem, Jorka - Jora etc.
also, u need to come back to first location and finish tasks NPC's from the boat, it helps to move and understand main plot (CoP is WAY more open world then SHOC, pls pay attention for texts and sidequests)
