Green went to Michigan State for college where Tom Izzo the coach would have the players wear football pads to practice. Draymond Green was and is my favorite Defensive player.
Lebron is so strong that he doesn't get as many foul calls as he should. So most of the time it's a legit reason to moan a bit. Same thing happened to Shaq
This is true, but Lebron also flops A LOT. To be fair, so do a lot of players, but Lebron is really bad when it comes to flopping. So though he probably does get fouled with no calls at times, he absolutely gets calls based on his flopping that should never be called. And its not a rare thing, it happens every game, and there are plenty of montages. It's not just a Lebron thing, players like Draymond are the same way. They literally whine to the ref on EVERY call, as if that has ever worked to change their mind. And its even more insufferable when they are arguing with the ref and the play is still going, leaving their team a man short for the fast break thats happening. And the only reason I find it even worse is because the offensive player has SO much freedom compared to any other era.
@@MoeDavinci I just don't agree with this narrative. I am sure its true at times ,but not most of the time. I think players like Lebron who have proven to flop numerous times every game shouldn't get the benefit of the doubt like players who aren't known for it. For every missed call the refs have, Lebron gets fouls drawn that were in no way fouls and simply because he flops, a lot. This narrative that they purposely miss calls at the rate people are claiming is wild. EVERY player gets no calls every game, not just Lebron. But Lebron is one of the few who whines and throws a fit every time. Typically leaving his team a player short on the fast break because he is too busy on the other end of the court whining to the ref. I would love to see a stat showing how many points Lebron has given up to opposing teams because of this behavior.
I knew Draymond would be on here LOL😂😂😂. Draymond could make a whole show with all his technicals and ejections and this is coming from a Warrior's fan who lives in Oakland.
Due to lebron’s physical strength and ability to play through contact, he actually gets less calls then he should compared to other superstars. No doubt he complains, but has a good reason to most of the time.
Way less is a stretch. He gets away with a lot of bs just as much as he doesn’t get calls so it balances out. He gets away with plenty of bulldozing like shaq used to that would get anyone else a offensive foul, he travels a lot, and for the amount for complaing and arguing with the refs that he does, he rarely receives techs or gets throw from games.

As someone that has watched the NBA since the late 70's, I find these "Bad Blood" moments hilarious. If these little spats constitute "Bad Blood", then I've actually seen wars on the court. The NBA changed after a playoff fight between the Knicks and the Heat. If players step one foot on the court during an altercation they're suspended. Players on the court are subject to ejections, techs and suspensions for instigating. While I agree with the changes for the most part, I must admit, I do miss the old days when you had to damn near kill someone to get a flagrant foul, and real "Bad Blood" between teams.

Sure, maybe the NBA overcorrected, but it 100% makes sense, because the Malice at the Palace showed how out of control a stadium, players and fans can get at an instant. And it isn't like Football where they are wearing pads. lol It is so easy to injure someone on a basketball court.

Daz, your comment regarding Lebron is accurate. As for him getting a lot of calls, it happens with all great players. I'm a Bulls fan for life...Jordan got plenty of calls. The difference between the two as far as the refs go is, Jordan didn't complain nearly as much.

Yeah I think hockey and basketball are equally as intense but running up and down the court is way harder on the body. When NBA guys careers are over, especially the big guys, they're done. They can barely walk. Hockey players seem to skate and play forever after they retire.
lebron does complain but for a guy that drives to the basket and uses his physicality he doesn't get nearly as many calls as he should. I think for example in 2020 he averaged 5 free throws a game which is nothing compared to other stars
Lebron does complain a lot but you have to put it into context. Lebron drives 70% of the time, he is the 2nd best player ever. The better you are as a player the more calls you get. Understandable that its the fighting that draws you to the sport you're watching. But you have to remember the NBA is desperately trying to reach the widest worldwide audience possible. NBA players are trained to complain about calls, because it keeps the refs in check. If you don't say anything they will continue to call the game their way... if you say something, they'll have it in the back of their head next time and they wind up giving calls in your favor.
