We are a couple who are building our own home from the ground up in the mountains of West Virginia. After living near the city our entire lives we finally decided to sell it all, pack up our 3 kids and live in an RV on our 73 acres while building our own debt free, off-grid house and learning to live a more self-reliant life. Once you have more weaned lambs put Lily in a paddock with similar sized lambs for a few days until she integrates with them before introducing her full time with the full flock. (had sheep many years ago)
Glad to see that Ellie is all better from her surgery. The barn door's look great, love to see the boy's back in the picture again, maybe one day soon Lily will join the rest of the lamb's, you can almost see that she want's to join them but is holding back, David, North Ogden, Utah.♥♥♥.
Grace ice and water shield makes a waterproof membrane that is also great for damp proofing foundations. The biggest advantage is that it’s a rubber sheet that’s 42 mils thick and is great for flat surfaces. It can easily be bent to cover that cold joint between the foundation wall and the top of the footing as a secondary line of defense against water intrusion.

I had to comment. I work with plastic cement (tar , pitch or whatever you wasn’t to call it), you open the bucket and it immediately is on you, without exception. I got a chuckle out to Erin’s comment.

So many things on a build are unseen like waterproofing the foundation and installing drainage. But they're the most important things that will still be paying off 50 years from now. Great job on the barn doors.
