Still using my Pixel 4a 5g since Jan 2022! Replaced the screen due to water damage while riding in the rain. Aside from that everything still works fine, battery says 80% capacity but still feels like nothing changed. Camera is awesome as usual!
@@84xX If you able to find one in Vietnam, worth every đồng. I was using the Pixel 5 on Viettel and the camera alone, worth double that price; free google photo storage for the life of the device. This feature is discontinued with the 5A onward.
How do you not talk about the headphone jack on this? It's the single most missed feature that I've had on every Pixel since Google stopped including a jack. No I know the headphone jack isn't a big deal for many but it certainly sets the phone apart and might be the only reason that I would consider using one at this point.
Bought it in 2023 refurb in very good condition for 85-95.00. Absolute steal! Android up to 14, free storage for life in Google cloud for photos and yes, the camera is fiiiiiire. I look shredded in my pics lol
The 4a 5g is one of the last phones (pixel 5) that has UNLIMITED PHOTO AND VIDEO STORAGE in Google One (in High Quality). It's one of the best features of the device
@@m4gician Yes thank you. I have an offer of $90 second hard that was rarely used! I'm researching they say the best version of this is Android 13. They say 14 is buggy. What do you think?
Loved my pixel 4a 5g. I miss the finger print sensor on the back but it's better having it under the screen. But I love using the finger print sensor for scrolling gestures like bringing the notifications down. In fact I might not sell it, and just use it as a web camera, if only there was a way to limit the battery from charging past 80% or 50%.
Sort of. Pixel 4a5g was the last to get unlimited "original quality"(4k) but they took it away after June 1st 2021. The quality was lowered to "high quality" and all new Pixel devices now have unlimited high quality (16mp). However, Pixel 1/Pixel 1 XL STILL has unlimited in all quality.
@@clotheman "all new Pixel devices now have unlimited high quality" - that is incorrect. I have had the 5a and now I have the 8a and both of those use space when photos are uploaded, even at high quality. If you think I'm incorrect, please provide a reference link because, I want to be wrong here!
I have a 4a5g that I bought when it was new. I no longer use it, but the other day I fired it up and it received the July 2024 security patch, so it's still getting updates, just not as frequently. It does have the lock screen customizations that came with android 14 and many of the photo AI features in newer pixels, just not all of them. It does have a headphone jack and a physical fingerprint reader that I think new phones should still have. I used this phone for 3 years and I loved it! Would recommend to anyone wanting the pixel experience on a budget!
@ifacedownworship the last time I used it seemed to last all day pretty well with the adaptive battery function turned on so I would say at least that or pretty close
Awesome phone!! I am on my 2nd that I bought at the start of this year. The 1st had the screen smash due to a car running over it. It still works. This 2nd one is every bit as good as the first!! Camera is the best, especially night mode photos. Things just work, and it gives no problems. If this goes dead, which I doubt, I will be heading for a Pixel 6a instead.
It's the only smartphone with a headphone jack, runs on usb c, excellent camera quality, and the external feature is like an iphone but made from google. Of course I would like to buy this phone again!
