Future of Forestry / Eric Owyoung - Ex Nihilo

A new Future of Forestry single is out today - a collaboration with a talented artist and good friend of mine, Peter Dawson. He approached me with the idea of creating a project that was a cohesive piece of audio and visual art, rather than a video with a song or vice versa. We were inspired by the Latin phrase "ex nihilo" which translates to "from nothing."
By starting with Peter's visuals, I was able to minimize some of the internal noise that can sometimes hinder my creative process: Would people like this? Would it be understood? Would it sell?
There is a liberating synergy between music and visual art. I hope this collaborative work moves you today.
