Sounds GREAT Marc... will be cheering you along all the way to that finish line at Vienna!!! Maybe you had the same experience, that for my first few years of running, I didn't really know how to listen to my body... I slowly discovered that certain pains I could absolutely run through and others I "could" run through but they wouldn't totally get better and others I definitely could NOT!! It's one of the greatest joys truly of having now put sooooo many kms under my feet, plus listened to soooo many episodes of Brodie Sharpe's Run Smarter podcast / youtube channel / book too, that I really do know how to listen to my body now and what to do about certain pains. And yet, I must say, that I do also really appreciate it when one of my running buddies that I trust just gives me a little word of warning too because it's soooo easy to fall into silly errors nonetheless!!! At those times, I kinda get this feeling now, my little inside voice that tells me "THAT you should listen to Bev!!"
I hope you're not still stuck frozen in that lake mate! 🤣 I felt cold just watching it! 🥶 Good to have you back on the training bus Marc I am sure Valencia is going to be epic! 😎🤘
Thanks for sharing Marc. Can you buy skratch labs in Finland? I can’t seem to find a stockist oh and I do enjoy your style of shooting videos - down to earth raw honesty and valuable advice. Keep ‘em coming🥳
Hey Juha 👋 Hope you are doing well, I'll be back there in the summer running :) It's a good question, maybe a good topic to talk more about. I really want to do a faster 5km also, that has been a goal of mine for a good few years also, but always a secondary goal. I think with the marathon, there is something that it is like trying to balance the scales when weighing something, and you add a little too much and it's not longer balanced and one side will go higher..... so what I'm trying to say, trying to find that pace that I can run hard... but run hard for 42.2km. I know it's the same with other distances. Also if you do it correctly, it requires dedication and devotion, and I enjoy those challenges that sap everything out of you 😅

Can you tell me what makes you target Marathon instead of 10 000m or 5000m for example?
Greetings from Eerikkilä, Finland :)
