Subbed. These are great videos, thank you for taking the time to make them.
thank you for checking out my channel!
So beautiful and flawless!
This ongoing series on improvisation is making me a happier person
Less is more! As a listener, introducing the melody sparingly keeps me on the edge of my seat, listening and waiting for more! Bravo!
Great idea and nicely done. Super duper.............
By far one of the best jazz teachers on youtube! Thx for your videos! :-)
RUSLAN!!! You are a pure soul! Thanks so much for your guidance and inspiration 🙏😊
Important topic that almost never gets covered. Thank you!
This is so great and concise thanks!!
You made a huge impact, on my way of studying.... and I play Harmonica, so what I really would like to beg you is keep talking in general.
Thx for all, you are so inspiring !
Samuel Natera happy to hear this!!

but I understand what your saying almost.
What I need,I have to wolk out my own solo^^
so...thanks Ruslan!!
이선행 thank you very much! I also need to work on my solo :)
Man you swing soo much!!! Could you talk a little bit more about working on swing feeling? And how you bend your motifs in this specific tune? That would be great- thank you so much for doing the videos best wishes from Berlin- Tina
JAZZ GUITAR LESSONS BERLIN Hey! Thank you for your kind words! I never worked on my swing feel, to be honest, and I have no idea how to work on it. It’s hard for me to QUANTIFY it, which is also why it’s hard for me to teach it 😕. It’s something I picked up from listening to other pianist, when I was a teenager.
Regarding how I bend any motif to any chord - I made a video about that. It’s on my channel and it’s called - “How to improvise on chord changes, part 2”
Cool! Thank you for your quick answer... and keep on swinging ( I guess 😂)
Great lesson! Thanks Ruslan
Excellent, clear, simple, thank's Ruslan 🎹, nice, the double II V you play instead of Am75b D7 at 1,57 (Em7 9/ A7 13b/ Am7 D7 b9)
Soulfull
Exactly!! I hate rambling on and on!!!
Hello Rus, could you talk about the solo technique where the soloist develops a dialogue with "questions" and "answers" when improvising? tnx
Another Great video Ruslan! I think you should shell out on a new microphone/camera to take the quality of your videos to the next step. Looking forward to this channel blowing up.
D. Wachmann this channel already was blowing up with 100-120 new subscribers a day... about 1,000 subscribers a week. It all stopped overnight about 10 days ago. And I now get 15-20 subscribers a day. Which is 10 times less than before. No idea what caused this. But... here we are.
@@ruslanpiano Like many things, traction comes in waves.
D. Wachmann An overnight slash in 10 though?
@@ruslanpiano Sadly what you're feeling is the wrath of the youtube algorithm... The best thing to do is just to keep creating good quality content and ride it out. Cheers man, keep it up.
D. Wachmann Yea, that’s really what it is. I agree.

If one is just soloing over chord changes, and not referencing the feel or mood of the song, then I believe they have missed the entire point of trying to communicate, the entire point of the music in the first place. The solo serves the song.
