I'm trying to upgrade some electronics on the Tomcat including the servos, A matek Flight Controller, and working out kinks with some of the associated add ons. The Tomcat will be back but the F16 and A10 are in a better position to be flown on a regular basis.
@@FlightheroRC I understand. I would like to see the results of the turkey. I’m in the process of saving up for the 80mm tomcat and other mods. Do you have any suggestions for add ons and other modifications?
Definitely install the landing gear mod for the mains, upgrade the fans to atleast Xfly 2100 series, (you'll have to carve out the foam) but they're significantly more powerful than the stock system upgrade escs to 100a at a minimum. Invest in a decent set of low bounce tires, either robart or Dubro 3in tires. The T45 nose strut was a nice touch to increase the scale but make sure you treat the plunger with a lighter or small blowtorch to harden the metal. The Tomcat fpv was can be flown with the canopy on. I'd cut out the front and 2 quarter panels and replace them with a sheet of transparent plastic. Smcs are great for longer flight time and better flight performance
For now the O3 is connected to an FPV ubec and the flight battery balance leads for power. The view is super Clean thanks to the material Freewing used for the canopy and since it's all one peice there's no distortion or blurriness
Which method arming are u using to get the full power to the O3? I've used the AIO route before (AIO just to get the arming signal to the O3 and getting OSD in the goggles) but now considering just putting a Seeeduino on (though probably no OSD).
All Greek to me Josiah but stay at it. Hoping all is going well!
It is! Waiting to start Navy Flight school. Hope everything is going well for you too!
Let's goooooooooooo
awesome
Are you still working on the Tomcat?

@@FlightheroRC Thank you so much for the info, I’ll definitely stayed tuned for more content from your channel!
That;s cool! Does the O3 see clearly through the smoked plastic? Is the O3 connected to an FC?
