- This is our ‘Crazy in love’! She did it for us, the 90s babies!!!! This is an homage to the early 2000 divas like Beyoncé, Britney etc. This is nostalgia that feels and sounds good, not outdated, just pure nostalgia served by another diva who really has stepped up her game I think this comeback! Coming back after ‘Pop’ is challenging since, come on, ‘Pop’ was really a hit, but this might just top this in my heart! I mean, I grew up listening to this kind of sound so logically the nostalgia and attitude that I get from this is strong! But besides that, I find this song to be incredibly catchy in itself! She’s literally serving every aspect here, the loss, the dance, the vocals, and I’m here for it! I really really really love this and can already say that my replay button will be thoroughly used on this song nsnsnssn

Truly blew my expectations, like I truly thought nothing would end up topping pop but somehow Nayeon ended up topping it. The song and the dance are so beyonce and britney 2000 coded and I truly loved that. I literally haven’t been this gagged by a kpop song since Talk That Talk.

Personally I’d say that more of a coincidence than a direct reference, given this is a studio backlot-for-hire that’s seen an infinitude of productions. HOWEVER, I personally contend that T-ara’s “Lovey Dovey” is just as much a “Party Rock Anthem” homage as it is a “Thriller” one.

This album release went crazy. She gave Pop, Beyonce, Brittny and everything. ABCD is very very catchy and Nayeon is suchhh a Girly, Feminine girl and this concept fits her really well.

The thing is, Nayeon could've easily chosen a song and concept similar to Pop just to play it safe since it was so successful but she took a risk and tried out a whole new concept and sound and she DELIVERED! That's a true artist right there!
And it just feel natural for her to continue POP with this. Like, Nayeon pulled out all the stops for this CB.
Wrong the biggest risk was having JYP write the track just like jihyo stupid ones harassed the living crap out of the man after alcohol, free and he left and then FANS begged to bring him back. This is the JYP coming back to writing for the girls and it should be that way.

Don't know but this solidifies why NAYEON deserves a second solo like c'mon she slayed so much here like all criteria is 10/10 for sure. The song kinda remind me of chungha tho but not complaining both are queens. I also like how she's been able to release an album with no skip because the bsides are also insanely good this comeback which is a good follow up from her previous mini album. I personally thought Pop! was a disaster (I know I'm in the minority), but this is really really polished. I look forward to more solo work. I never thought Nayeon could be considered independent of Twice, but this is a great first step.

Personally, POP is great (But you do you). But yeah, ABCD seems to be more ambitious and I sense that JYP really pushing this for international market.
