You've made him react this way by not telling him. If he's straight guy he's bound to be surprised and no doubt a bit disappointed. He can't storm out, cry or really carry on with a serious date. It's fine to cross dress, no issues with it but I'd be pissed if someone set me up on a date with someone who does as I don't lean that way, it would make me uncomfortable as I wouldn't want to upset them either. The 2 cross dressers seemed nice enough, very pleasant and easy to talk to, they'd make great friends.
