Some youtubers get big of one video, some just gradually get more and more subs, not really from one video. Pewdiepie is a good example for the ladder, even though he has one video with nearly 100 million views, he didn't get big off that. He keeps getting a consistent amount of subs, compared to making one hit video, getting 200k subs off the one video and then just slowing down.
