My experience was bad as looking up for the right content was messing me up and the building anxiety during the exam was terrible but anyhow I got like 62 percent overall. For an online open-book exam, do you suggest making a word file and putting all the lecture notes in there with the table of contents, so we can refer straight away for extra help? Regards
Good luck for your exam next week! Exams can be very tough and I understand how you feel. I get really really anxious before my exams as well - some things that help me: focus on my breathing, send out positive affirmations and also tell myself I got this!! It sounds weird but the mindset stuff really helps me. In terms of the online open-book exam - definitely having the notes on opened up on your laptop will help. So you can ctrl+F anything that you may not be clear on. However, it's important to note that you want to try and answer the questions you know first before trying to look things up - it can take time up. So you want to try and secure all the marks you can to being with then go through your note to answer the ones you're unsure on. It's about finding that balance. Also, if you have mock papers/past paper questions - try and do it like you would the real thing. So you can emulate what it would feel like in the exam but also find that balance. I hope this helps and good luck once again for your exams ☺️

I'm torturing myself by watching you. Don't ask me why I'm watching another medical student youtuber. How and why are you so bloody smart? It's almost a different language to me. Once again someone much younger, focused, smarter, on track than me making me feel extremely inferior . Simran, it's too late for me even though it is an open book exam. I'm a 24 year old business with management student (mature and very failed thus far in my life) in a foundation year who has not managed to study at all , for several reasons including problematic disabled Indian elderly controlling parents. The exam is in less than week. I've just locked myself in the poky box room.. I am suffering a lot to say the least. Based on this undetailed summary, what do you suggest that I do? How can I prepare intensively? How can I know what to focus on? Should I quit on life?

I think its really easy for us to compare ourselves to others and their lives. it’s important to acknowledge that everyone is on their own trajectory and we all have our own paths. the best thing to do if you’re feeling overwhelmed is always talk to your university to let them know your situation and they will understand. also, it’s important to reach out to someone that can help like your doctor especially if you feel like giving up. the most important thing is to take care of you wellbeing.
