I agree. He also didn't mention how long it actually takes to switch teams and revive pokemon too. That takes a lot of time off of your dps. You're better off just dogdging. That's why i believe dps x tdo is the correct option. At least to tier 5 raids. You could raid tier 3 dragonite with only rampardos if you really wanted to I guess lol
@@itsmesteve1081 agreed! Important to have a premade team before you enter the gym for the raid too. If not you have to manually select your six Pokémon again after they all faint the first time
I usually end up as the highest damage dealer in raids, regardless of the trainer levels that are with me (higher & lower). And I follow the rule of leading with 3 DPS mons, then 3 DPS*TDO mons. I usually line up my 1st pokemon with the possible Mega (or lead with my own). That way if someone else is using a Mega, you get the Attack Boost + the high DPS output since most Megas are "Glass Cannons" like Mega Gengar. The only reason I don't get the "highest damage dealer" in a raid is because someone else decided to use Lvl 50 mons because all my mons are Lvl 40 (Shadow & Non-shadow, but mostly Shadow). And it's usually a level 48-50 player who has nothing better to do than upgrade mons to Lvl 50.
I always love these types of videos due to the reason I prioritize raids more, I have a lot of pokemon raid attackers so this helps me on what pokemons I should push.
Damn, I love this! I'm a returning player and got back to the game only 3 days ago after 2,5 years of not playing. Having a video about what's worth and what's not that is actually very new and therefore extremely relevant is a a dream coming true! Even though I don't really have meta pokemon nowadays. I quit when having 6 regular Machamp and Tyranitar were good and my "newest" Pokemon is a 100% Mamoswine. So my inventory is quite outdated but this helps for prioritizing the right pokemon from now on. Edit: Apparently I do have some pokemon that are still strong or am able to get some strong evolutions. At least something :D I am a little annoyed by the amount of shadow pokemon though. As far as I can tell it is not easy to get strong shadow pokemon, we have to wait for events to get rid of frustration and it's basically just another form of an already existing pokemon which doesn't feel rewarding for me at all.
You should find a friend and do some trades. It’ll result in “Lucky” Pokémon which are easier to power up and usually have good stats; good chance for a 100% as well. Great way to get some meta relevant Pokémon but will cost you a lot of stardust if they aren’t Best Friend rank with you.

Sry for my bad english btw and thanks for the reply!
The last few months of raids havnt been too difficult, compared to past ones. Even if you don't have any 2.5k of higher pokemon you can still knock out the 5star raids, especially if your group is using the 10 person method. The only problem currently with kyurem is if it has Draco meteor it still tends to 1 or 2 shot anything that isnt resistant to dragons. I recommend this: if you have a decent iv magikarp, walk it as your buddy for a few days. Remember your getting effectively 40 candy per day with the buddy candy cap(possibility double if it's excited, I forget if the cap is on candy or walking total). It takes a bit but it's worth it since that big nasty has FAR more use than in the core games. Second, download pokemon home and look up how to get the mystery box for Meltan. This is another 400 candy monster but all you need to do is catch them as they spawn(1 every 90 seconds) and maybe throw in some berries for extra candy. You'll be sure to get a solid one at some point. You'll have to do this twice at least, and the box has a 3 day cd, so you'll need to reactive it at that time by sending another pokemon to the home app(just choose any low cp garbage one). If you already have any of the Kanto starters at a decent iv, use the 7km eggs on this event to hatch more for tons of candy. Getting those final evolutions of any will give you a nice buff in raids. Arcanine is another nice one to grab and it's pre-evo isn't that rare, just throw pinap berries at it each time. Even if you have to use revives and potions in the raid, as I said the current listing isn't that hard, and by the time the tough ones come back, you'll have a solid lineup. A few quick tips, if you got a good gible this past December Cday, evolve it up to garchomp as soon as you can. Same if you run across a solid dratini or a beldam as both dragonite and metagross are solid for most any raid. You could also invest in the slowking right now in 3stars. It's not awful and will be a good entry with its decent cp level. Consider dewgong since seel is spawning left and right ATM. Last. Look at what's coming up in raids and look for counters not just in the wild, but in raids. You can as well from eggs but that's more random. Just a few ways you can get a leg in on a solid setup. The first two methods will be the fastest, completing within 1 week(assuming you have a magikarp).

So the last two videos were DPSxTDO, now it's just DPS, so the reasoning behind it is that Higher DPS does more Damage in Less Time? For Example, Giratina Origin was the Number One Ghost Type before Mega Gengar, now that we are doing DPS, it's further down the List. Also, for Megas, would it not be beneficial to just do TDO or DPSxTDO? The more time you have it on the Field, the Longer the Bonus stays Active, therefore getting alot more Overall Damage. Even the same with Mega Aerodactyl, it just seems like Mega TTar was set out to be this great Mega, but now that we are doing DPS, not so much,
No idea why Daxi decided to do DPS. Its a trap a lot of newer players get caught in. If you are actually interested in seeing how pokemon do in raids use Pokebattler and set it to Time to Win. Doing the most damage doesnt mean much when you fall over before you can actually achieve anything.

Depends what you looking to do. I’m a raider and I’ve seen shadow Victreebel but in like the 5th or 6th slot I’m maybe like 1 raid boss so I wouldn’t rush to power that thing up too fast. Shadow Venusaur I believe with be your best bet
Hi I know this is an older video but I had a question. Do the Attack/hp/defense stars matter for raids? You didn’t mention them for raid teams but only for pvp so I was curious!
The higher the better for all stats. Attack is the most important when it comes to raids since the real enemy is the clock. That’s why shadow Pokémon are meta. +20% received, and +20% dealt
One question I've been thinking about in terms of pokemon to power up is deciding between i.e. a shadow 1 star machop or a normal 3 star machop for raids. I have no idea if a bad shadow is better than a good/great non shadow of the same species. All the shadows I've been collecting are absolutely terrible and I've not powered up a single one :D - What's your opinion? And thanks for the amazing content you put out!
Daxi, shadow machop is available you can find it by a female grunt that says : this buff physique isn’t just for show ! Machop can appair in slot 2 the chance is 56% that slot 2 is a machop and 44% chance that makuhita appair.
Guys me and my son are kinda new to playing GO. Where do i find which fast or charged attack to add to a Pokémon? Or which attack is best for that Pokémon? Thanks. Great vids btw.
the problem is that Melmetal hasn't a Steel Type fast move if you want't it to use it as an Attacker. So maybe I would rather evolve high CP Meltans and use them. The Stardust you saved I would use to replace bit by bit the Melmetals by high IV Metagrosses with MM.
Shadow Salamence is available in the game right now. At the 4 min mark you said it wasnt, im sure it was just a mistake but yea its available. Way back when I believe Cliff had Shadow Bagon I hit the shiny. I caught mine on Jan 13th 2020
Rhyperior with stone edge is a very budget rock type attacker and you can always elite tm it eventually if you didn't evolve a rhydon on Christmas Cday
@Poke Daxi: how important is stars for shadow pokémon? For example I only have one 3* shadow machello but a couple of 2* shadows. Shall I lvl them or grind forever for another 3*?
i’m in a dilema what is better on gengar for ultra league lick or shadow claw (i have a elite fast tm) i’m running shadow punch and focus blast and i’ve seen hex is quite slow to get to a focus blast and gengar isn’t the tankiest so what do i pick lick or shadow claw?
Honestly it would be good if you provide some context to these numbers. What exactly does a DPS^3*TDO of 18000 mean. Does it mean it can solo a T5 boss with 15000 HP? Some examples of what it means in actual raids would be a great addition and help build up intuition a lot. Cheers and look forward to a great 2022

Will discuss this in my video about how to use the spreadsheet. In the end the higher the number the better though
@ cheers. Another thing that I hope you cover is something that I wonder. Generally top rock attackers have a value of 2000-3000. If we consider that the raid boss is Zapdos, does a mewtwo with a value of 6000 perform better doing neutral damage than a rock type doing super effective but only 2000 value?
hey man Im a level 34 and have been playing for not that long. I like your release info for the game. I have a dragonair 89% and 1 shadow one at 53% 15 attack. wirch should I evolve
You heard of the steelix mega energy problem? Onix can’t give the mega energy, so niantic did challenges. 28 Pokémon catches at least, for 200 mega energy.
I’ve been playing Pokémon go in short spurts for year. Played for a month consistently and didn’t know about the legendaries available in these raids .
Click on the Customize button and after that on the Species button. After that you can add a new species like Shadow Garchomp or add fast or quick moves to already existing Pokemon.
If you are doing a raid by yourself if would left out those Low DPS Megas like Mega Altaria and Mega Steelix. The Mega Boost is only applied to others if while your Mega is in the field and alive. Since you are alone no one will benefit from that.
I agree but ppl can barely solo tier 3 & you cannot solo tier 5 so yes what he said the team to have when with players is accurate but raid in like NYC with 6+ in every raid, the most powerful team becomes very unlikely

I have a 14 14 13 steelix in the great league, its amazing. Like a stunfisk but better generally.
Hi Daxi... which dark type move is better for raids... Foul Play or Dark Pulse ?
Happy New Year Woooo Why are you recording?
I’m using this to make my teams Daxi. Thanks so much!!!
10:30 and 11:50 reasons why I didn't evolved my Litwicks for now. Hopefully they really chose Shadow Claw as a CDay move if Litwick gets one.
if i have only one shadow moltres should i run him with fire ore flying fast move
Have Fast TMs ready to switch the fast move to any but unlock BOTH charged moves with 1 being Sky Attack, problem solved
@@H4LOchannel thank you very much!
Do you actually speed up your videos? You dont seem to talk that fast on lives but these are so fast that I sometimes can't understand you
Hey dax!
Happy New Year!
I got a 91iv shiny shadow salamence, do you think I should power it up?
Daxi, shadow machop is available you can find it by a female grunt that says : this buff physique isn’t just for show !
Machop can appair in slot 2 the chance is 56% that slot 2 is a machop and 44% chance that makuhita appair.
You can make a full video on the best ways to get candys for legenderys?(not XL candy)
I only use my rare candy on legendary pokemon because you can only get them on raids so I don't use my rare candy on regular pokemon
Guys me and my son are kinda new to playing GO. Where do i find which fast or charged attack to add to a Pokémon? Or which attack is best for that Pokémon? Thanks. Great vids btw.
Steel type: metagross ✅ also Melmetal does crazy well a lot of the time (just switch it out against a fire type and fast!)
the problem is that Melmetal hasn't a Steel Type fast move if you want't it to use it as an Attacker. So maybe I would rather evolve high CP Meltans and use them. The Stardust you saved I would use to replace bit by bit the Melmetals by high IV Metagrosses with MM.
Ground not useful? I don't know how many times I've used garchomps with mudshot and earth power to completely destroy raid bosses😅
Shadow Salamence is available in the game right now. At the 4 min mark you said it wasnt, im sure it was just a mistake but yea its available. Way back when I believe Cliff had Shadow Bagon I hit the shiny. I caught mine on Jan 13th 2020
There is no way to obtain shadow Salamence at the moment. Yes, he was available for a period of time in the past.
@@mattv2099 yea, kinda what I said lol.. hope it comes back that would be cool
can you do a best pokemon to use Elite fast and charged Tms on
My shadow hundo magnezone is probably my next max pokemon. Its not maxed but is still doing fairly good when i use it
Thank you so much your videos help me out so much...thanks
Rhyperior with stone edge is a very budget rock type attacker and you can always elite tm it eventually if you didn't evolve a rhydon on Christmas Cday
should we be aiming for 15/15/15 IVs for all Raid pokemons?
Can you please make a video about how to build a team for pvp?
I have a shadow metagross and I'm not sure if I'm using it right because it's not very good
How? What level is it? You got meteor mash on it?
hey man Im a level 34 and have been playing for not that long. I like your release info for the game. I have a dragonair 89% and 1 shadow one at 53% 15 attack. wirch should I evolve
Question, are these pokemon ranked by the base stats ? or a 15 15 15 pokemon ?
Thanks
Thx you so much for the tips keep up the good work
I’m kinda new to all of this and have a dumb question
but when he says shadow he means the purified version right?
Do you power up or evolve 1 star shadow Pokémon ?
You heard of the steelix mega energy problem? Onix can’t give the mega energy, so niantic did challenges. 28 Pokémon catches at least, for 200 mega energy.
🔥
As someone that likes darkrai
This video gonna be usefull to get a team for darkrai raids
Thanks :3
I think Chandelure Cannot Learn Shadow Claw Because in its Moveset that I checked in google, Shadow Claw was not there
Where do you power them up to? Do you max it out?
You should make a videos. On what moves to use for typing and like how to know when to put 2 charged attacks on a Pokémon.
You still keep spelling rock wrecker wrong. Been seeing it on a few recent videos. Just a heads up 😁 Keep up the good work!
@ 5:31 I heard you say that shadow Zapdos is not available. Did you mean not in the game or just currently not available? @Poké Daxi
Checked and I actually have 2. One from 2020 and one from 2021
Good job video but I stopped the video after the dragon section. He didn’t mention that Mega Altaria gains a Fairy typing when it mega evolves.
I’ve been playing Pokémon go in short spurts for year. Played for a month consistently and didn’t know about the legendaries available in these raids .
wait its better for pvp to have no atk high def and hp???
Happy New Years everyone !
How did you add the unreleased shadow garchomp to the spreadshet?
Click on the Customize button and after that on the Species button. After that you can add a new species like Shadow Garchomp or add fast or quick moves to already existing Pokemon.
@@joni2417 thanks bro
If you are doing a raid by yourself if would left out those Low DPS Megas like Mega Altaria and Mega Steelix. The Mega Boost is only applied to others if while your Mega is in the field and alive. Since you are alone no one will benefit from that.
I agree but ppl can barely solo tier 3 & you cannot solo tier 5 so yes what he said the team to have when with players is accurate but raid in like NYC with 6+ in every raid, the most powerful team becomes very unlikely
What is the likelyhood that beldum will get a community day redo before I end up dropping a bunch of elite charged tm's on several metagross
How high should I power up like Reshiram, I have 10 off them, but how many tar candies should I invest on a full team off Reshiram?
I’d say all 6 cause he’s a top raider
I only have 3 lvl 40 mons a garchomp a metagross and a mamoswine lol. So that’s my ml classic team causesssss it’s all I got
What is the best type to start building a team for?
You should make a video about DPS X TDO because that will give you an overall best Mon to use in raids, that can dish out some damage and stay alive
Thanks but think 🤔 normal got ghost by ways at times but agree 👍 💯 on your top picks
which one is better to power up, a 3* pokemon or non 3* shadow pokemon?
Check out BrandonTans houndoom comparison. 100% regular does less damage than 0% shadow
