- Rachmaninoff's charming transcription of Franz Behr's "Turtle Dove Polka", played here by the composer with characteristic Golden Age flair.
I own neither the recording nor the sheet music displayed herein.
We can know it's rachmaninoff's playing by the ending chord. Only rachmaninoff can play that without any roll!
Thats huge!
I’ve got a recording of Rachmaninov performing his 2nd and 3rd piano concertos. He was an absolute beast.
There are on YT also...
Как пианист-виртуозный бездарь...
I think that piano rolls should be the standard in recording, because, as recording tech advances, you can always record the piano roll with the newest technology, thus always making it sound modern.
I love listen Rachmaninoff!
Delightful ! :)

is this an original recording ?
@Apostolos Chatz What's a piano roll? I've heard this word several times and I don't understand what it means
@@alphakrab5022 Here is a video of a piano roll being played back: ruclips.net/video/mWjEw_7JviM/видео.html
@@_melzargard How can you get a piano that plays piano rolls ?
@@SastyThey're called player pianos or pianolas. Steinway has started to make high-tech digital player pianos called Spirios.
@@Dodecatone Yeah I know about the Spirios but I didn't know they had the Ampico system "in them" aswell. Time to save some money
Ah a piece dedicated to godowsky
Флегматично,безвкусно,апатично,,незатейливо,,без изюминки и интриги...только-Горовиц....
