The laser engraver is probably my first time saying something is genuinely worth $5000. That thing is industry level precision!
With that level of detail, you can actually start your own business for personalized engraving and it is almost guaranteed to pay itself and then some.
@@makedragon Indeed!
It's 1200$ on AliExpress my friends!
@@makedragon I was thinking _'I bet there are people on sites like Etsy that use that and similar products.'_ With enough attention, it could absolutely pay for itself after a while, especially since (aside from the metal blanks) it doesn't consume resources like ink, or plastic or metal material like 3D printers. I've definitely seen small shops on Etsy that offer both their own designs and engraving services.
That cat was unreal though. I wonder if it required the depth data that some phones (namely iPhones) can offer though, to get that detail, or if if the software is just using AI to do that? The former would probably result in much finer accuracy, but the latter would be more accessible.
I'm no expert, but if I were them I'd have put electrical tape or something on the etched phone's cameras. I'd be paranoid about some stray laser light zapping the sensor, even if it's unlikely.

Yes a straight up legendary way to lose your sight. A 60W fiber laser. Oh yeah fiber lasers just burn off your retina, there's no recovering like with CO2 lasers. It's also false advertisement since it's never class one lest you don't turn it on. And don't even get me started on the ablating and vapourizing of metals and how fun hexavalent Chromium is. There's a reason metal cutting lasers come with sophisticated filters. It's insane that such a thing is even allowed to be sold online.

In my experience there are only 2 things worth backing on Kickstarter:
1) Products that are pretty much done, and is just an advanced pre-order. Things like boardgames, and that UGREEN NAS platform.
2) Campaigns ran by people/companies who've already delivered products on Kickstarter, or other similar platforms.
so, don't use it as intended, got it

How to cut open a box without cutting the contents?
With a normal box cutter, one that you can get for cheap in any supply store, you can already control how much of the blade you have sticking out... you can just... leave the blade as small as possible so it only cuts through the tape and doesn't reach the contents of the box.
Heck. I bought one of my best boxcutters from Dollar Tree.
Also, you can just cut open the side tape first and then the middle one will raise so slightly you could almost tear it open.
Or just... Don't jam the knife as deep as you can into the box when you're cutting it. It's like he forgot he has fine motor skills.
Just Use A Pen. yes a 10 cent pen!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Or just use a key. I use my bike keys and never had any issues.

Laser engravers like this have been around for 30 years, this is just a bad one, it's extremely dangerous and unsafe, laser engravers are all completely enclosed requiring you to have a fumehood or fan, this just exposes you to radiation. Horrible product.
@@fuzzyplayz1510 yeah but a lot of them are not openly available and are usually in super controlled environments and are a lot bigger so its definitely a lot better since it can be used at home.

Laser engravers have been around for quite a while. Honestly, this one? It's a major health hazard. This is not a device that should be in a room with you. The fumes it produces can be extremely hazardous to your health, it needs very proper ventilation. It's not fully enclosed meaning scattering of the beam in operation can frankly blind you. It's insanity they are trying to sell this to the public. The only reason they haven't been sued into oblivion is because it's way to expensive for anyone to buy.
@@repatch43 It's not a major health hazard its no less dangerous then a laser you can buy on amazon, the beam isn't "scattering" its a precise print on a object.
The problem with Kickstarter is that users treat it like a store. You aren't buying, you're investing. And investments don't always pay out.
And just like with investments, there are a lot of scams out there
Agreed but If it isn't buying, there should not be a product advertised in the exchange of money.
Instead, they should be clear that it is an investment and provide a share because people are investing a small part of your success.
Investments definitely don't pay out at times but advertising a product in a price range and not delivering a promise is worse than stocks going bad. The risk factor is explained during stocks unlike Kick starters.
The ToS makes it very clear that it's an investment platform, there's text at the bottom of every campaign that you're not guaranteed a product. People honestly just don't read, or they get spoiled on small projects that deliver and assume it's the same for larger concepts that might be scams.
I suppose they could be more aggressive with flashing the text, but people tend to err on the side of just thinking they will have legal recourse despite the ToS being open about the opposite.

21:40 bro, trust me, I’ve used hundreds of knifes and exactos to open boxes and plastic packages, there’s nothing better then a regular key! Any key will do but try to find one with more pointy end. It works better then anything cz it doesn’t damage the inside of the package and cuts trough scotch tape or plastic with just a bit of pressure. It doesn’t slide as easily as a knife but you always have it with you, no extra objects to carry, doesn’t damage your stuff and a bit of force not gonna kill you :) just make your first puncture in a safer place and then it glides easily trough the box.

I have found another method that works really well. Do you still have any hidroalcohol from a few years back? That shit will make the label turn white again. A small spritz and text be cgone in a few seconds.
I guess rubbing alcohol works too.

I've found for the simplest Kickstarter experience, just toss a handful of cash in the air above a campfire. Whatever doesn't end up getting burned, go buy things that are just okay, maybe get a surprise couple things that are actually good..
The bigger companies aren't just using Kickstarter for visibility though, they're basically using it as a pre-order platform. Which has the massively beneficial bonus of giving them direct data on units to make and how to ramp it up from there. 1:10 This is the first time i have seen Arun raise his voice/sound pissed! Hes always so chill! Dude if i had a tech channel.. u would hear me rage a lot.. especially if i got scammed.. or something..
4:20 Got your address bro
Finally we can hangout 😺❤
Finally I felt the investment Arun did for the studio. That background TV butter smooth transition from neon-green to heavenly clouds like around 29 minute was amazing. Much waited for these. Thanks Arun
Perhaps I'm being naïve but isn't the only physical thing required for that transition a green screen? Seems like mostly a great job by the editor rather than anything to do with the studio.
After reading more comments I realise I was wrong and that there's a physical screen behind Arun. Fair enough, that's pretty damn cool. I'm assuming there's some technical reason a physical screen is better for these types of effects than post-production using a green screen?
17:00 "The only footage of the app in the trailer, is when the app is *not* working."
19:23 wtf, transition is super cool 🤯🤯
