I was thinking maybe once AI can help anybody code a game, i will make the ultimate Quake 3 port to the DOOM3BFG engine, but all roided out with modern rendering features. In other words, make Quake 3 look as good as QC, and you know many of the pros would rather play that than Champions. Just like CPMA dethroned Quake4 it is possible to do it again.

Serious quake players know that 2:03 is the sickest clip in this video. Hitting rockets like that is ridiculously hard and when cypher's prediction is on it is impossible to deal with.

i have to agree, i have not been playing quake long at all but my reaction time has incased immensely since my first day to now
exactly, this is extreme fps, with the addition of high flying rocket jumping acrobatics, this game isn't for sissies or people who can't seriously multi task. Completely agree about the comment of CoD < Quake.
What you say makes sense and I agree. By the same token, I say that CPMA levels up even over Quake Live. :)

I've seen some lg suspends but the one at 3:45 really is outstanding.
i always frag people by sitting at the top of a boost pad or something for 4 seconds and hitting them with a rail or rocket and everyone has a spaz, its really annoying, so to sum it up I agree completely, took the words right out of my mouth
Well lack of footsteps creates random which is the direct enemy of skill, however I fucking love cpm and would stand by it. Quakelive has a cpm mode too, it is called pql.

Actually the most intelligent comment I got yet, sadly... so let's see... in 3:46 the guy jumps down from RA straight into LG and cypher tracks him. At 2:03 cypher does 400 damage in three seconds while taking no damage, to an opponent who didn't do anything wrong. Shaft juggle is impressive, yes; deserves to be in this video, yes; a good choice for "no, this frag is better", probably not. If you want to argue, try 1:45. I might have actually picked that, except it's too long :)

CPMA has 80 rail damage and had it for years before quake live even came out. Actually the reason rail was nerfed in Quake Live was CPMA. id brought arQon on to unfuck the netcode actually.
@Niemtol2 wasn't speaking about quake players in general as i can see that most quake players that are somewhat good can be a great player at any call of duty game since it's running on just a modified quake engine. still has the same fundamentals for strafing and such. it's just that reading that guys comment you can see he has been frustrated playing the cod series.

That was one killer shaft... I agree. It is easier to direct hit someone with RL 3 times in a row than pull off something like that with LG

Tribes has a skill based movement system and an extra dimension to aiming through jetpacks. However, Quake's movement system is tougher to master and Quake has plenty of airborne moments of its own and of course Quake requires item timing, therefore Quake is traditionally and technically the better shooter overall in my humble opinion. Don't get me wrong, Tribes is great in comparison to the subpar game CoD is, but Quake is just legendary.

I disagree, 4 incredibly well placed rockets fired while both players were moving in different directions is more impressive than a sticky shaft while still standing. Not that it isn't some great shaft, but those rockets under those conditions was incredible.
