Sad to see Elif Shafak speak against China etc... She is clearly ignorant about these countries. She is very articulate with good political insights and I enjoy listening to both speakers. Best if Elif stayed on topics she knows well Europe and Turkey.
Elif Shafak speaks the Truth Nothing but the Truth and this pains and hurts numerous peoples.
I remember pretty well as a person from Turkey that she had embraced Erdoğan's regime until 2013, because her husband was a member of Fetullah Gülen movement, when Erdoğan and Fetullah Gülen were like brothers in arms. I want to vomit.

Isn't the tribe an intermediate step between the individual and the universal e.g. acceptance of universal values.

There are signs that Allah will grant Islam victory in Europe - without swords, without guns, without conquests. The 50 million Muslims of Europe will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades.
