- B-roll of two for Star Trek Into Darkness. Clip provides a compilation of behind the scenes footage from the film.
When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has decimated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew. I cannot imagine trying to act, really get into a character and feel deep emotion with all these people staring at me.. I am pretty impressed with actors every time I watch these behind the scenes clips.
You are not kidding, wow, B-roll always reinforces that to me. Film must seem so inorganic to actors. 2-3" at a time, exchanging dialogue with the AD, not even the other actor in the scene. Stage acting allows an actor to be one with the role, and with the other actors; I might could have done stage but could never slip in and out of character, produce deep feelings, and get into the moment nearly so quickly as film actors. No wonder most actors prefer stage work! Holy crap these guys are great!
This movie now tops my list of best of all time. WOW it was fantastic.
6:31 -- [someone says something about Spock's ears] ...
Pine(Kirk): "Ears like a jaguar??" (smirks)
Urban(Bones): (cracks up) "Linx! LINXY ears!!"
haha, the off-camera voice stand-in for Spock being a Scot sounds amazing xD But I miss Benedict Cumberbatch in here? I'm sure there's some behind the scene footage of him as well...
I love how often J.J. Abrams cheers or thumbs up or "yes!"s on set. He's a fanboy directing, and I love it.
Well, they are all trained actors and they are all lucky to have made it into the business and being able to to what they love. I think its hard work but they are all incredibly fortunate.
I Love Chris Pine he The best Captain for ever from Enterprise 😍🖖🏼🖖🏼🖖🏼
I love Scotty’s accent it makes me laugh so much!
Yep! Star Wars is in great hands with JJ.
Too bad jj didnt direct part three💔
That scene with everyone speaking at 4:07 without any effects or movie magic itself gave me chills..
I love watching behind the scenes stuff, it just looks like the most incredible experience to work in films
6:03. LENS FLARE, LENS FLARE, LENS FLARE
Its really weird to see a spock, well smile:)
Oh my god you really don't know how much effort is put into these until you see the bts, like the set design on the bridge was making me cry because its so beautiful, and how perfectly choreographed and well done the acting is, not to mention the perfect costuming, makeup, and don't get me started on the special effects. Jeeeez.
I love seeing them use celluloid.
Been a actor must be fun job!
Yep, same here. Only I saw it two days ago. Awesome movie.
Guy's I saw the movie last Friday and I'm confident that I'm going back to see it again because it was fucking amazing.
What an amazing job.
when i heard that jj was doing the next trilogy of star wars, i went out and looked at all the behind the scenes of star trek movies and with all the physical and practical effects he did, i thought at first that star wars was in great hands, then i remembered star trek and was scared of the lens flare porn...
BEST MOVIE EVER MADE!...EVER! And I've seen them all. I tell yuh, they don't get much better than this!
Best movie ever made
This channel is one of the best channels on youtube!)
keep it up with behind the scene videos!) Great job! are you Turkish?)
I have a lot more respect for actors after seeing this. Geeze, how do they manage to find their characters, their emotions, and their relationships to the other characters when there's all this equipment right in their faces? I knew there had to be cameras on a movie set, but I had no idea they were so obtrusive so right in the actors' faces.
I guess one can get used to anything.
Simon hitting his neck/chin on the folder and then laughing was so fun to watch.
This is so cool, rare look at the behind the scenes action. Love this. Thanks for posting.
6:05 was the best part. JJ Abrams shining a flashlight at the camera lens to give it lens flares. Hilarious
Watched it hours ago. Movie was fucking awesome!! The visual effects and the score was top notch!! You guys will love it!
It's crazy because the end product looks so natural I feel like I'm in another world and could almost BE one of them, but when I see this behind-the-scenes stuff, I have so much respect for these people for not bursting into laughter or messing up.
0:58 Cha! Simon
What a great movie. Going to buy the original!
Spock is my favorite character
wanna see benedict cumberbatch in the reel gag and the behind the scenes~~!! *exited*
best movie of the year
seeing it tonight thanks
3:50 wow i totally loved watching this behind the scenes
this is great
I want this of the whole movie!!!!
Holy shit those are some awesome sets!!
very cool thanks
Whenever I first see a film I always think "oh yeah, I could totally be an actor" and then I see things like this and I just have so much respect for them because I could never, ever do what they do.
THE GUY IN THE RED AT 1:04 OMG
I want a set that runs like that without post!
I want to see it again
Alice Eve is so beautiful.
awesome choice :)
They are trained actors who have memorized their lines, told where to stand or perform and take direction from the director. How easy is that?
Ohh nice flare
Ahhhhhh Chekov :3
out on dvd on sept 10th in usa
anyone notice 6:26 chris pine reached up to tap the camera
These scenes will be on the DVD release as extras.
these are probably the shots taken before he came
Poor Mr Checkov....
it's nice to watch the scenes without all the damn lens flares
that the person wearing the device , next to the cameraman at 5:07 min handles ?
That is a wireless follow focus! It lets them control the focus of the lens with out having to put hands on it. They are awesome!
Where is benedict cumberbatch ?!
a flashlight? thats how he makes the flares??!!
"Ha! Awailable."
Abrams pretty much set-up the next movie with "the return of Khan" and possibly a war with "the Klingons", dontcha think? Epic movies tend to end with all out war these days. lol
So we wouldn't have been spoiled over his reveal in the middle of the movie.
to try and act with a giant camera two feet away from you has got to be awkward...these guys are awesome that they can do a good performance despite the silence and 50 people staring
i wish old spock next sequel get more scene, n not only be cameo, u all know what i mean.
6:05 LENS FLARE LENS FLARE MOAR LENS FLARE I AM JJ ABRAMS LENS FLARE IS WHAT I DO.
No Benedict....Anywhere...WHY???
where's benedict? :( awww
Check Your Head shirt at 0:43 !!!!!!
I think spock is wearing mask
Wow even they use normal camera also have jj abrams lens flares😂
How are females' ranks denoted on the new uniforms? They don't have sleeves for the stripes. I've never noticed this until now.
LOL
I guess in the end movie you have lots of sound and music and noise, but it's so still and quiet on set. feels unnatural!
WHERE BENEDIC CUMBERBATCH???!!!
So quiet...
Must be fun trying to get into character with a camera two feet from your face.
VULCANS RULE!!!!!!
P.S. My real name is Roxie and i am 22
haters will hate
wow, i'm not trying to pick a fight here mister~~
it's your gdamn opinion n it's a free site.
have it your way :)
Why are you getting so butthurt over people loving this movie as much as they do? He feels its the best movie. You don't. End of story.
Difference between an amateur and a professional.
...Where the fuck is Benedict?
Yeah this may look fun but there's a lot of standing around and waiting on movie sets and most of the time the actors aren't even on set
Why don't you people ever read what I wrote instead of jumping to conclusions after the first 3 words? I'm looking for someone to prove to me logically (based on facts and film education) why they like it. Also, saying "it's the best movie ever made" is a statement of fact not opinion! If your going to make such a statement you better be able to prove it!
I thought that bridge was 100% CGI ... shame that it was destroyed with pointless lens flares.
seeing everything behind the scene makes me think... it's all a lie... T.T
Um where's my boyfriend?
lens flare lmao
relax... we both know that this movie is great (or to you, at least good in a few aspects) you dont have to say that. sweet sarcasm as "unless you actually seen every movie ever made in every format, in every languages from every decade" is sound enough. you don't have to say the worst because you have not "seen every movie ever made in every format, in every languages from every decade" that makes you rank this movie as the worst.
live long and prosper \V/
Too bad JJ doesn't understand that people get their lenses replaced so they don't have to deal with the flare/scatter effect.
He's far from the first to use lens flares in movies...
That's why I can here and was utterly disapointed.
it is pretty repetitive i guess. and maintaining that drama with all those people, cables and cameras hanging around you...man...
what have you done with star trek? :(
THAT'S NO STAR TREK FOR ME
Please continue the story in timeline after Voyager or Nemesis
+xzesstence gaming Is Canon. Romulus is gone, Spock is missing. Go play Star Trek online. Also Canon.
Maybe you should spend more time killing Necromorphs and less time watching movies. Just sayin'.
Prove it! I hate it when people say stupid shit like "Best Movie ever made" because it is impossible to know what the best movie ever mad is unless you actually seen every movie ever made in every format in every language from every decade. Also it is the worst movie I have ever seen! and I have seen over 100,000 movies.
