Kris used the blocking with face strategy shown in Rocky movies. Seriously though with that kind of strategy he will look and sound like Diaz after a few more fights.

Mad respect for Mountinho he was outclassed had every excuse to quit, no one expected him to even make it out the first round; but he never gave up, even as he was being hit possibly more times than any fighter in the octagon ever; he never stopped fighting never stopped looking for a way to win. Mountinho is the purest essence of a fighter and i am glad he is a part of the UFC.

That’s what I noticed watching his fights before, he doesn’t move his head. I knew he was about to get picked apart and battered because of it, and that was an accurate assessment.
Yeah dude. Kid has grit and heart. But yeah he definitely need movement. Not even head movement necessarily. He just needs to use footwork and get off the center line. Work some angles. The best thing that’s going to come out of this for Chris, is that he’s going to have a bunch of top level people surrounding him and showing him how to move his head and get some high-level training. He still very young with his durability and the skill he already has he could be great in a couple of years with the right people around him.
That 75k probably makes the brain damage feel a little better too. But yeah you can’t teach heart, and I felt like his corner just didn’t really know what to tell him in between rounds. Get him in a real good mma gym and he could be a serious prospect on the rise.
After taking such a beating, i think a few years might be too late. Tony was never the same after the Gaethje fight, taking a record breaking beating is just terrible for your future prospects. See moraes and in the future most likely Calvin kattar too.

O’ Malley should have a real fight. The UFC is clearly trying hard to make him a new superstar that can sell PPV after Connor retire. Mouthino has a great heart, but he crearly was not prepare for the UFC or Sean O’Malley. Shame of this fight, this look like a gym war sparring between the best guy of the gym and the new guy. The UFC knew the result of the fight even before it start. Stop using fighter that are not in your level just for look good and create a PPV superstar.

I think Yan, Sandhagen or Font are the only people in the top 10 that give him any real problem and they’re all actually in the top 5. O’Malley definitely belongs in the top 10. That’s what I noticed watching his fights before, he doesn’t move his head. I knew he was about to get picked apart and battered because of it, and that was an accurate assessment.

Mad respect for BOTH of these fighters. This is exactly what I love to see. Two fighters, one with phenomenal talent and the other with phenomenal heart. I'm looking forward to seeing both of them in the future.
The best thing that’s going to come out of this for Chris, is that he’s going to have a bunch of top level people surrounding him and showing him how to move his head and get some high-level training. He still very young with his durability and the skill he already has he could be great in a couple of years with the right people around him.
That 75k probably makes the brain damage feel a little better too. But yeah you can’t teach heart, and I felt like his corner just didn’t really know what to tell him in between rounds. Get him in a real good mma gym and he could be a serious prospect on the rise.

I’m gonna come out and say it. That kid gets proper training and he kicks Sean’s ass. And I’m an O’Malley fan. He was tougher and had better stamina just lacked actual training.
Lol Sean was playing with and was completely punishing him before the stoppage. He even got dropped in a earlier round, he can train harder become Sean's full time punching bag.
@@therealistintheboot8822 hence training. That kid has no kickboxing or jujitsu experience and one week with a boxing coach to teach him how to keep his head off the line and he walks O’Malley down. Sean didn’t train for a fight. His punches were weak as fuck and he was gassed half way through the first. Anyone who says otherwise is either a liar or has never been in an octagon.
