Superb quality Extra Fine Persian Qum Silk carpet with rich red ground and blue borders - 307656

This exquisite silk-on-silk carpet is from the holy city of Qum in northern Iran. The detail is incredible, which can only be achieved when working silk knotted upon silk warp and wefts. The carpet has a stunning central design often found in these exotic pieces. Although the carpet is primarily red, it is softened by the use of blues, cream, taupe, and green. It is one of the finest pieces we have ever purchased!
