I really loved this show! The simple but powerful message of a ripple starting a wave and the awesome effects. Only got to see it once during its run and I suspect ti won't return, though fingers crossed. At least I can re-watch it here, so thanks so much!
It's returning on March 1, 2024! When it does, I'll be making a better video of the show with a new camera setup, which I just used to record WoC Season of Light. Also, you're welcome! I really enjoy making these videos.
I truly wish this show would come to WDW, in any of it's incarnations. I saw it in CA last year and its one of my favorite Disney shows of all time. Being older, the true meaning and significance of "World of Color" isn't lost on me.
@@victoriabell9546 This is the official breakdown per Disney: There are actually three versions of the song, titled “Start a Wave,” that were made. The main version is played at the beginning of World of Color: One, features the voice talent of Loren Allred (‘Never Enough’ in 20th Century Studios’ “The Greatest Showman”). Another was produced by Disney which acts as a “pop version” of the song played at the end of the show as exit music. An additional version was produced by Cody Fry himself and was the demo he sent to Disney and now acts as a music single that is available to stream and buy today
I watched the ONE show from the boardwalk and missed a lot of the light effects, which is the best part of this ONE version. You captured the best angles and perfect exposure settings. Thanks for such a high quality recording 👍
I like how the Star Wars segment had been added to World of Color ever since Disney had acquired the rights to Lucasfilm in 2012. I wish the Walt Disney World Resort also had a fifth park that's like Disney's California Adventure with similar themed areas that it has nowadays as well as World of Color. The Walt Disney World Resort definitely deserves to have a fifth park like that.
Me too! As far as I can tell, they’ve removed the Walt projection at the beginning, they’ve changed the Pocahontas scene a bit, they removed the “see the ripples, watch them turn to waves” scene immediately before Star Wars, they moved some of audio clips around, they changed some of the fountain effects, they’ve changed a few of the lighting effects, they toned down the flame effects, and I’m sure many more changes have been made that I haven’t noticed yet!
Thank you! I just wish they would bring the flames back, permanently. I began recording “Believe…” last night and the 15-minute ish file was around 60gb. Pretty crazy, I think…
What happened to the Start a Wave reprise before Star Wars? It feels odd now. All the talking parts also sound more rushed. Like all the spcaes between each phrase are shortened and it sounds like there's less thought in what each character says. Why would they do that??? The show feels more like a montage of memorable scenes than an actual story more than before now. I still love the visuals and the effects tho.
I agree, completely! They've had maybe 3 different versions of "WoC - ONE" now and my favorite is still the version tat debuted last year... My favorite WoC show is still the original though, and I hope it returns soon...
Great video, although this isn't the best version of World of Color, I think it's probably the second best or maybe the third best behind the Christmas show. I think the show works really well in the individual segments, but when it all gets put together into a final show it kind of feels a little disjointed. I still don't understand the transition from Moana to Marvel back to Moana to the ending song. It just seems so weird and doesn't really make much sense. That being said, the actual individual segments in the show are really good and it's visually probably the best version they've ever done. I wish they would bring some of these segments into regular World of color honestly instead of keeping this show. Also if they do ever bring back the original show put night on bald mountain back we really don't need that extended pirates of the Caribbean segment. It was already in there but now it just feels really long and I would much rather listen to the epic score for the night on Bald mountain segment.
I agree... the individual segments are great, but together, the whole show just feels like a montage of different films. The original show just feels so much more cohesive as show/story and I wish it would come back!
@@DylanPixi actually like this show better because it gives you a simple message on how one drop can do so much. the old one didnt rlly do anything besides saying the world is color
Ok, I’m gonna need a few minutes to recover. Would someone mind picking up my jaw off the floor? I think it rolled around somewhere around the Star Wars section…
Nice job!
Thanks Cliff!!!
Saw this twice in the same night in August 2023. Such a magical experience
Awesome!
This made me cry when I saw in Feb 3
Best show of its kind.
Thank you for posting, the different angle and the transition was amazing!

Honestly the theme song fits animal kingdom very well all they have to do is remove all the Ip that isn’t in animal kingdom maybe add avatar
1:11- The opening song, Start A Wave, is sung by Loren Allred.
She’s the actual singer of Never Enough in the movie The Greatest Showman
Interesting. Thanks for the fun fact! I didn't know that
Actually it's sung by singer-songwriter Cody Fry (who made that orchestral version of Eleanor Rigby that went viral on social media) and Loren Allred.
