I'm so glad Silco isn't just some bloodthirsty villain who doesn't care about anyone but himself. He is very humanized and his reasons are understandable

This show did an amazing job making me switch sides. The beginning makes you hate silco and look down at zaun and love jayce and piltover. By the end you realize jayce is an ass and got too much of an ego boost becoming a councilor and silco gave up everything to keep jinx.
That Ekko and Jinx fight scene was epic and impeccable. One of the best animated fight scenes ever. Pure jouissance as I watched paused and rewound it several times like “THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT!”.
silco was 100% aiming at vi, he actually even shot at her but missed. the scene after jinx calms down shows the pistol smoking and a hole next to vi's head in her chair.
I think the hole in the chair was from Jinx's shooting. Personally I think Silco was actually aiming in the direction of the councilors room. He was telling Jinx to fuck them up. If you compare the image of Jinx aiming fishbones and Silco aiming her gun it even looks the exact same
He knows Vi is the only chance he has of losing his "Jinx" so he definitely wanted to kill her. As much as people are sympathizing with Silco in all of this, that he really "loved" her, I think we have to realize that Silco caused all of this. Put Powder in the situation to try and save her family. VI ALWAYS intended on coming back to powder but was stopped by Marcus. We can't forget that. As much as Jinx wants to blame VI for her being the way she is, this is ALL Silco's fault. Silco created Jinx, and has filled Powder's mind with lies that she has no one else who cares for her. This is proven when he tries to klill VI even when her blood sister comes back.
Honestly, it's a master class in screen writing. I love that it's so character driven. The plot doesnt try to dictate what the characters do. The plot bends to the will of the characters, they run the show, and every choice they make is logical, which makes it a less frustrating watch compared to other shows where characters with established traits act "out of character" bc the plot demands it. Just awesome stuff
This show is not affraid to go there. I think one fine example is when Jayce kills the child and Vi tells him how that death is nothing compared to all the deaths and she refers to those who die in the hands of Silco, shimmer, the council, the enforcers, etc. To let Jayce know that he had blood in his hands before he attacked the facility and that in a way that wasn't his first kill. On the third part we get to see how morally grey all the characters are. Silco wasn't a completely evil person, Jayce isn't completely good and everybody else. These characters are complex. Even Heimerdinger and Vander who had good intentions but by being inactive and complacent they were instrumental in the systematic oppressions and cruelty towards some people.
Lmao stop acting like this show is edgy. It's good, but very Netflix-ey. It tried hard to be woke. You need to watch more media if you think a dead cartoon child is "going there".
i thought silco will become some clincé antagonist, think jinx as a tool, but he really does care about jinx. bot him and vander died saving their daughter
@@dedenugraha2393 silco, played his part till the end. He knew telling jinx that he would've never traded her would set her off in rage towards them. I feel like silco would've eventually given jinx to them just to have what he wanted.
The most heartbreaking part for me was Jinx's disappointment at the end when she realizes Vi only wants Powder, but her life so far doesn't allow her to revert to Powder anymore, hence they can never get back together. Vi actually pushes her sister away twice, once when she abandons Powder, and another time when she makes it clear she only wants Powder when there is now only Jinx.
See from Jinx's perspective yes, however I think it's important to take into consideration that Silco is an enabler. Silco loves Jinx in every way but he enables all the (self)destructive tendencies Jinx has. Vi does the opposite, Vi loves her and with time could've probably accepted Jinx for Jinx (they only had like 1 conversation before this), but she doesn't enable or support Jinx's destructive actions. Looking at it from a trauma standpoint: Traumatic events change people, and when the trauma is left to linger and fester it in the dark it can lead to seriously bad things. Jinx's trauma lead her down a dark path, a path Silco embraced, letting Jinx get swallowed up in her trauma. While the small time Vi got to know Jinx she tried to steer her away from that. Obviously she seriously messed up in how she handled it, but trauma isn't a justification for allowing bad things to happen.

Would jinx choose to trust Vi to eventually love her as Jinx, or would she choose to shield herself from potential future disappointment when Vi eventually rejects her? Apparently, she chooses the latter. And I see Caitlyn as an integral part to Jinx's decision, too. Jinx knows Vi has real feelings for Caitlyn, who is an enforcer. How could Jinx trust Vi to really side with her then? It's like you are a criminal and your sister is married to a cop. It's truly remarkable how intricate the story is. Every piece has a meaning and affects the overall narrative. Truly amazing.
I don't believe a second that Silco would have aimed at Jinx. She is the only one, I genuinely believe, he would sacrifice his life for. He wanted just to make Vi stop talking but he underestimated the bond that Jinx still has to Vi. Jinx may let her go or she escapes but Jinx will blame Silcos death on her and that's probably the end of Vi's belief to bring Powder back. What will be left are enemies of them. I feel that Medara, Jayce, and Victor will be saved by Medarda. It looks like she was about to create a force field. But the others in the back who are further away may get killed. Definitely an intriguing series so far. I played lol for 7 years before I stopped 2 years ago. I knew it has an amazing lore. But I would have never guessed that they would nail an adaptation of it so well.
I am not a LOL fan, however this show really surprised me. I had high expectations and they delivered. The animation and the storyline were just amazing. I just knew there was going to be a season 2 and it was just announced today! So excited to see how the war is going to go about and interesting to learn more about the LoL lore.

League of Legends has had amazing, cohesive stories to tell for years, as someone who very much so enjoys Zaun & it’s Cyberpunk feel, I hope you enjoyed Season 1 & what League has to offer~
i just REALLY hope Vi and Jinx can reconcile at some point, but im afraid that rocket attack (potentially killing Caitlyns mother) is a point of no return for their relationship, really hope not though
Yes, thank you! Finally, someone else who agrees! Granted, I think how likely the reconciliation is will depend on whether Jinx’s rocket actually *does* anything (I heard some theories that Mel’s jewelry glowing could indicate it would create something to save the Council). But, I do think and hope there will be reconciliation of some sort. Personally, though, I think Vi and Jinx’s arc in Arcane will end, at best, with the two on opposite ends of the law, but with the chance that in the future, things can get better. And perhaps, since Riot does want to make a “League of Legends Extended Universe”, a future story will have them reconcile for good.
In any case, Jinx launching that rocket into the Council's "headquarters" is a pretty clear and good excuse for war to break out between the two regions. Not to mention Mel, a Noxian and the daughter of a high ranking official, being present/a target of the attack giving Noxus reason to involve themselves militarily with Zaun. Piltover is also a major shipping route and trade hub for Runterra so other nations may also be inclined to take a more active role in intervening in Piltover's conflict with Zaun.
I think it's still gonna focus more on Piltover & Zaun than other regions. Notice it's only at the end that Zaun officially became a nation, i think it's gonna focus more on Zaun itself fully exploring it's history.
@@JayStorm199 yeah but other regions might still end up been included especially a little of More of Noxus, Damarcia and their history or conflict with magic (which also include Hextech), trade with with Bilgewater.
well the other Nations might help Zaun in exchange for hextech weapons that was the main reason for Jayce wanting Jinx in jail as she knew how to construct hex tech. piltover wasn't handing over their secrets a newly formed nation that not dependent on hextech for their economic success would probablly be more willing to hand it over for say an army to sack piltover.
Yeah whats cool is that you don't have to play the game to watch this show, in the game the characters have simple back storys, like Jinx and Vi, but Arcane went more in depth with their characters and others.
"Subtly hinted" that Caitlyn and Vi might end up together...? *Vi checks Caitlyn out, pushes her against a wall, says "You're hot, cupcake! So what'll it be? Man or woman?" The two very nearly kiss after Vi wakes up from her near-death experience. Lingering glances, extended hugs, spending an entire scene in bed together while talking about their feelings and goals. Situational voice lines in the game very clearly portray them as a couple. Jinx literally calls them girlfriends.* Sure. Subtle.
Yet they are not together. Sure they have chemistry and it's possible but you are reaching to say they are a couple. This could certainly lead into that and I have no issues if it does.
@@LordTails66 Oh, I'm not saying they're a couple in the show - not yet at least. I'm saying it's clear they have the hots for one another. The show takes place before the characters reach the point in their development that's represented by their game personas. Caitlyn, for instance, isn't the sheriff yet, and hasn't gotten her signature purple tophat. Listening to voice lines from League and reading the character descriptions, it's quite obvious that they're dating by that point. But no, so far they're just sort of testing the waters. They only met a few days ago in the show, after all.
@@DPRK_Best_Korea You certainly can, and there are some great examples of that in this show. Viktor and Jayce's friendship is a beautiful thing. But that's not the story being told with these specific characters. Re-watch the scene where they lie down together in Caitlyn's bed, and imagine the same exact situation playing out with the same lines and camera angles, but with Vi being a man. Be honest with yourself, would that scene make it into the show if the characters weren't at the very least interested in each other?
They mentioned Mel's brother's name it was Kino not Jae. Plus Jae is heir apparent to a Medarda in Piltover not Noxus. I def think Mel might be part Solari/Targon because she was wearing clothing that looked like Solari as a kid. Her gold glowing might be her using an ability that will save herself, Jayce, and Viktor. Jayce and Viktor are seated next to her so something needs to able to save them since they would be 2 close to the blast. I do expect Mel or Viktor to be injured so that we have a reason for Jayce to not destroy the hexcore.
@@JayStorm199 I agree, she looks much more Shuriman, and the gold motif is also VERY much a shuriman thing. At a guess I'd say the Medarda clan was once from Shurima but was brough into Noxus at some point
The quality of season 1 is so mind-blowing, all I wish is for them to keep the same standards, even if it takes many years. Rushing a season 2 by lowering the quality would be a big disappointment.
@@weirdtyler4932 Personnaly, I would be, if 6 years is what was necessary to get the same quality. But from what we've heard so far, it's probably going to be around 2 years, because they had already been working on it. For season 1, a big part of those 6 years was testing many different stuff in terms of writing and art direction, to see what worked best. Now, they already have the foundations and the art direction in place, so it would make sense that production is going to be faster than for s1.
It’s not just the best video game adaptation, it’s one of the best animated shows period. And this was only the first season. If they manage to keep up that momentum (and I honestly think they can) then this could very well turn into my favorite animated show of all time, maybe even my favorite show. I know that’s super high praise, but I honestly believe it. The only thing I’m kind of worried about is that they might end up rushing it, but I heard they were already working on season 2 before all of season 1 was released so hopefully that’s a good sign

Theory: If you ever noticed the crows around jinx, observing her, spying.. possibly whispering to her even? Could be swains crows and he is also the powerful Noxian man that killed Mel's brother for crossing him? Him observing from a far with his crows, slowly taunting jinx into insanity in hopes of the outcome of how season 1 ended, forcing an avenging war against Piltover/Zaun for Mel's death, through her mother. Swain ends up becoming a grand general, and it wouldn't surprise me if this is how. A country built on war, lives for war and he's the strategist who makes the moves so they/he can conquer lands for their riches, such as hextech.
A theory of mine: I have a feeling that Oriana may be Singed's daughter because in Arcane he did say "I once had a daughter too" and why would he look at the picture if it wasn't a member of his family? And I think he lost his daughter and he thought she was dead but actually maybe she is not and I think she will be a new character of Arcane Season 2 so I have this feeling that Oriana may be his daughter. Mel has an aura of a game character. The design for her is just magnificient. I'm an LoL player, but I was startled the moment I saw her. I thought she was a new character that I had missed. Would love to have mel as a new game character 👀👀 (if she actually survived the rocket).
Cute easter egg I noticed: when Jayce wanted to commit suicide, Victor was there to save him. And now, when he tried to kill himself, Jayce was there. True friendship
I think Riot's hit a gold mine here and looking forward to Season 2. The way this was written I can even imagine a standalone movies or Marvel / DC - like franchise
The amount of swag all of these characters have on the show is what really sold me, also the story and visuals. But just a walk, a look, the tilt of a head, or the they they sit or move...amazing
I predict that Heimerdinger is going to die by the Hexclaw. In Episode 4, Viktor tried to use the Hex claw to carve a picture of Heimerdinger, but accidentally cut off the top right side of the stone block. This could probably be foreshadowing of Heimerdinger's death.
Just finished last episode today. Wow. Without question greatest video game adaptation ever. That season was more gripping and well written than most live action shows. Real characters with complex personalities and motivations.. Nobody is black or white but shades. Who are the heroes and villains isn't easy to answer.
6:58 i dont think that's Silco's intention. Vi keeps on mentioning names that triggers Jinx's PTSD in an attempt to get Powder back. Vi probably dont know that those names are connected to Jinx's bad memories instead of good. Silco's stopping her cuz he knows hearing those names will hurt and trigger Jinx. And an opinion , i dont think he manipulated Jinx. If any of you are against what i said or wanna correct me if i said something wrong, feel free to try and change my mind and correct me but please be nice :>
U can also see the chair Vi’s sitting on its been shot at so yeah Silco tried to shoot her to make her shush and then missed. Out of all the voices in jinx’s head beating her down notice that silco was never one of them.. which i is why i believe it was powders unconscious self shooting him to protect her sister🥺
I agree with the idea silco never really manipulated jinx. I think in a way Vi trying to keep her emotionally sheltered and not teaching her (how to take hits) ended up leading to a Bigggg problem in which she always runs away from her problems and never really self reflects "deep enough". It's always someone's else fault to her in a way.
Silco definitively manipulated her. The constant lies about Vi to make Jinx believe that he was the only one who cared, that they were both abandoned in order to create a bond with her. Him making it seem like he was her only support in the world definitely is a form of manipulation, because of course if you feel like you lost everyone you’re going to run to the ‘only’ one holding out their arms.
@@xoxarily he genuinely thought Vi was dead, they were both abandoned and he wasn’t there when Vi left so all the information that he got about what happened before he showed up was from Jinx herself so there’s no way he could’ve lied to her. On top of that if he truly never wanted Jinx to move on he would’ve never suggested to ‘kill powder’, do the baptismal thing with her or suggest that Jinx was perfect despite all the mistakes she made.
I find it interesting that so many recurring themes in the series are family, love and loyalty. The plot of the show mostly revolved around them. Vi's repeated betrayal in Jinx's eyes is what drove her to become Jinx. It was her conflicted feelings about those between Vi and Silco, whom she both loved but didn't know who she could trust that lead to the ending and her fully embracing Jinx. As far as Ekko's references go, in the fight between him and Jinx on the bridge they showed a flashback to when they used to spar as kids. It seems he used to use it to time himself, trying to get to her before she could hit him with her gun. He smashed it as a kid, but kept it still. I'd say that's an obsession with time that he has. And his lore shows he invented the z-drive as a way to undo mistakes he made and save people he wasn't able to save. Also the case he carried the hextech gem in looked similar to the z-drive case. I think he'll show up at some point in season 2 with it. When it comes to the council and the rocket attack, that's obviously going to cause a huge stir. I think most of the council will wind up dying. We know that Jayce and Victor survive because they are champions. The explosion will probably trigger the final stage of Viktor's Glorious Evolution. He's still linked to the Hextech core. Possibly the reaction with the rocket's hextech explosive and mutated body parts will be enough counter force to save Jayce. Or maybe Mel has some hidden powers that will protect them. It seems odd that they would introduce Mel's mother, have all the lore with them, including a hanging threat towards the Merdada family and then kill her. It's possible she dies, but I don't think it too likely. The other councilors though... I think they'll either die, or be so badly injured as to be out of comission. In season two we'll see some changes... With Jayce possibly the only surviving councilor let and no Sherriff, I think he'll appoint Caitlyn to the role. She doesn't have the experience, but with the recent revelation that Marcus was in Silco's pocket for years, he'll want someone he knows absolutely isn't compromised. That would be Caitlyn. And her #1 priority would be to stop Jinx. Who I very much doubt is just going to be quiet after this. The voice over for the season 2 announcement included Vi wanting to go after 'her' alone, Caitlyn wanting to work with someone and Jinx saying she was glad it was 'you' that came after her. The 'you' could only be Vi... So I think this is how Vi will become an Enforcer, to work alongside the new Sherriff of Piltover to bring in Jinx, who's going to go full terrorist. The last act of the council was to agree to the formation of the nation of Zaun. But Silco's dead, so who would lead it? Sevika? Maybe, she was one of the two people Silco trusted. The remaining chem barons will probably fight over who is in charge now. So the situation of Zaun is probably going to be so much worse than before, with near or open warfare. And probably the person who killed Mel's brother will show up at some point. That is a plot thread dropped late and still hanging at the end.
Mel's plates seem to be underneath her dress, and the camera goes through the trouble of x-raying her dress to show us the plates and how they glimmer. It seems highly unlikely that they're just decorative.
I cant tell you how much I fell in love with Vi! Such a stunning character, so good! All those scenes where she is fighting, talking in the deepest voice, amazing!! Strong, independent, inteligent, fearless woman, breathtaking! 🥰
It looked like Sky was absorbed by the Hex Core, empowering it further. The Core also seems to have power over Viktor. The scene played out like the core stopped him from smashing it and then took away Viktors improved health as a punishment.
I am 100% convinced that Mel either is wearing some enchanted armor with magical properties that will protect her and people near her from the rocket explosion, or that she has magical powers. There are two key reasons why : 1. Jayce and Viktor are sitting right next to her, and we know that they can't die because they are champions in the game. Given everything we know about the hextech gem and Jinx's abilities at building explosives, this rocket should at least blow up half the building. So unless some kind of magical plot device occurs, there is no way this rocket just blows up the building without somehow killing 2 characters that we know cannot die storyline-wise. Mel having powers or magical artifacts is one of the only ways they can possibly survive the situation they are in. 2. It would be very expected of Riot to try and invest people into a character in the show, and then release them as a champion in the game to attract a lot of new players from the hype. The only non-champion characters that have had a lot of backstory and screentime invested into them are Silco and Mel. We know that Riot briefly considered making Silco into a new champion (from Riot employee posts on the forums), but they decided not to because he has no combat abilities to justify him being in a Moba. Mel still has a lot of mystery surrounding her, and clearly a huge amount of effort has gone into her visual design and story. It just wouldn't make much sense for them to kill off the only new character that they have invested effort in.
I'm really digging the theory thag Mel is going be a champion soon. That last scene with gold in her back is indicating she has powers. We all know Jayce, Viktor and Caitlyn's mom are gonna survive (according to Caitlyn's lore).
I’m jacking she’s hiding her real gifts i think she really has powers or just has access to all the armors because her mother got mad scars and knows how to use weapons i wouldn’t be surprised

I was surprised by how well written this show was. Nobody is really two dimensional - even Silco is revealed to be a complex character and the scene of his death was tragic. That said, I expect the rest of the series to follow on LoL's primary lore, with all of the introduced characters' stories eventually intertwining. ... The man who gave Jayce the gem stone was heavily implied to be Ryze and he plays a significant role on LoL lore. Also, Runes and Magic have been established via Jayce and Viktor's tales, the emergence of Hextech and Heimerdinger's flashback or vision, when he warned them to destroy the Hexcore. It is implied that Heimerdinger was remembering events of the Rune Wars... and if we're getting flashbacks of this and foreshadowing of things to come via Hextech, magic and the runes ... It's safe to assume that the Void and Celestials will eventually come into play as well. But we're likely a few seasons away from this. I expect Season 2 to continue where Season 1 left off. Ekko will likely be the one to save the Council and Viktor will also play a role in saving Jayce (yet again) ... thus cementing him on the dark path we know he will eventually fall to. Season 2 will see the formation of Zaun, the Warwick reveal, Ekko's signature weapon, Heimerdinger joining the fray as the tinkerer he is, Jayce becoming the champion we know and so forth. I think from there, we'll follow events on Noxus and possibly Demacia as well... Either towards the tail end of S2 or going into S3. That's when we'll start following Darius, Garen and crew. Here's to hoping the series remains good and successful so we can have several more seasons! Seriously, I applaud the writing and the animation is refreshing.
I love this. I just wish that they kinda kept the original storyline instead of having Viktor as a sick man trying to live, but he was actually in conflict with Jayce and when he gets sent back to Zaun, he builds himself into a machine to lose all emotions. The Warwick reveal will be insane, as it is most likely Vander and maybe because the Zaun doctor joins as Singed as well. The only thing I want more of is Heimerdinger. Just the best imo. Theres not enough in the series showing what he is capable of. I hope that comes in Season 2 forreal.
@@_Primary i don't think they can . if they try we will get fragmented storylines not a whole world so some changes are needed , but they keep the spirit of the champions thats mater most . in the original lore Victor created the chem solders but in the Arcane Singed did it .With the original lore will be realy hard to explane how hextech is born . LoL lore is vast but is fragmented so they need to fill the gaps by this kind of changes
@@_Primary I don't think they've deviated from Viktor's original story, rather they're adding more depth to it and fleshing it out. He and Jayce are already in the beginning of conflict and Viktor id already on the beginnings of his dark path. There are a few ways that this will inevitably end with them being rivals/enemies and Viktor completing his transformation. Also, Singed created chemical soldiers but it's likely that Viktor will refine them. We get a foreshadowing of this in Viktor's flash backs and his return to Singed where he admits "I understand now". Truth be told, this series is likely to remain dark for a while and I think S2 os going to be darker and more tragic. We're going to see the relationship of Jayce and Viktor breakdown, culminating in Viktor joining Zaun and finishing his transformation. Essentially escaping death but truly dying as his transformation will kill off who he was. We're going to see the breakdown of Jayce and Medarda's relationship. We're likely to see that Singed's experiments had to do with his attempts to save his daughter, Orianna (this was foreshadowed several times). And we're going to get our Warwick reveal and the revelation that he was once Vander after his reveal. Vi is going to discover this and in the process (obviously through revelation that Vander survived all those years ago) and in the process will have lost her sister, Powder and their surrogate father, Vander. Ironically, one having become a monster psychologically and the other, literally. And it's likely that she'll have to bury both in the same ways ... One psychologically and the other, literally... Meaning she'll have to let Powder go and she'll have to kill Vander (Warwick). We're also likely to get an easter egg or foreshadowing of Mundo as well via meeting the man who will become him.
@@mr.l8527 well technically, Viktor was just another brilliant mind and him and Jayce only worked together because the only ones smart enough to work with them was themselves. They were never close like they are in Arcane. But yea, I dont mind the new, slight variation at all. Im expecting a darker season 2, and Im all for it! I really liked all the foreshadowing they did tho forreals.. all the easter eggs and such..

Mel most likely has a unique ability that protects her. After rewatchhing the last few seconds, I see that the gold shining on her was not from the rocket it was from mel herself! Also remember that they're all sitting in chairs with tall backs. There's no way she would've seen the rocket if she turned , but whatever that gold things is on her back helped her sense the rocket was coming. And if I'm not mistaken, there was a scene where mel was woken up from her sleep, like she sensed something
Yow...Netflix gets a big W with this one! The characters, the storyline, the artistry, and dont even get me started on the sound track 🔥🔥🔥🔥 this is the only series i watch that i dont skip the intro and i sing alone every time. I dont see Arcane going anywhere for now and i cannot wait for season 2. And its not just the visuals and the sounds but the way the story is told. That fight scene with Jinx vs Echo...that flashback of their childhood game right b4 the face off was simply poetic. Did i say i cant wait for season 2??...cass i really cant wait for season 2 🙌🙌🙌
Netflix doesn't really have nothing to do with it. Riot could have went with any platform but I'm guessing Netflix had the better deal to host it but as for the works of making this show. Netflix didn't do anything and its probably why its so good. This show has been in the making for over 6 years.

haven't had a show made me feel like this in a LONG LONG time. The characters, plot, dialogue, voice acting, art style, details, landscapes, music were absolutely beautiful to say the least. I began watching solely on artstyle and music and it did not disappoint, so happy i did watch it and really excited for season 2 :D
The second before the first “bomb” exploded Mylo managed to free Vander and Claggor managed to destroy the wall for them to escape. If Jinx hadn’t been there they would all survive. The same thing happened in the last scene of the show. The second before Jinx’s “shark bomb” hit the city all of the counselors had agreed to make peace with Zaun. We can clearly see Mel raising her hand in last and then the bomb appearing behind her. Once more, hadn’t Jinx exploded the bomb everyone would be fine - not only alive but at peace and with Zaun and Piltover becoming two different cities, just like Silco wanted. Sorry for any mistakes in my english, I’m brazilian.
The sad truth is that she didn't these 2 things were happening, she didn't know that Vander was gonna escape successfully and that the council was making peace, she just keeps making her hole deeper without realizing what she was doing was wrong

He *was* attached to her but in no way was silco good to her. He told marcus to kill vi and when he found powder he told her lies and manipulated her to his own gain. Then he acted as an enabler to her for the rest of the show. You can love and still be a bad guy. Silco was a brilliant antagonist and I loved every second he was on screen, but he did not ‘stand up for her’ he enabled her. That is not a healthy relationship nor was it good for Jinx.
I mean but telling her she's perfect and just giving her no repercussion for her actions had a strong effect on her mental state. Silco wasn't helping her get better by telling her she was perfect or helping her cope. Silco just expected for her to get better the same way he did when they had different situations and a different time.
but he was also manipulating her. it is obvious that jinx still longs for vi's love and acceptance, but silco knew if the sisters reunite he would lose her. kind of selfish... true love should involve selflessness
Caitlyn I think will be like Vi from season 1. She will go on to hunt down Jinx. Cause her mother will most likely die from that explosion. This will affect her relationship with Vi. That or they will become partners like in the lore. Since Vi now realizes she needs to put down powder(or if she becomes an enforcer, arrest her) Heimerdinger might help ekko discover his time manipulation ability. Viktor might survive but will need cybernetics
*the writers literally keeping the "you're hot cupcake" scene to ensure we know they are gay, and also saying season 2 will be centered around their relationship* *jinx calling cait vi's girlfriend* homophobes: "they are just friends"
This show really was a breath of fresh air. Personally, I have a hard time enjoying shows because of self awareness but this one is interesting in how well certain themes and explanations were shown.
This show taught me a lot, it's so breathtakingly beautiful, Silco and Vander weren't even that different, Vi only wanted Powder when Jinx and Powder were two sides of the same coin... The relationships, stories, pain, sadness and cruelty in this show was just made so well. Through this whole show I hoped that we could finnaly have Powder back, just the way Vi did. But you can see the pain in Jinx' face as glowing tear treaks down her cheeks. She pulls the trigger knowing that nothing will ever be the same,as the rocket flies through the city of Pitlover we see it is headed straight for Mel and as the glass shatters, we are left with a cliffhanger, just like in episode one, Powder... Has jinxed everything... once again
You forgot to include that Viktor augmented parts of his body already, so the hexcore could end up saving his life instead of having his body disintegrated by the Jinx blast.
I think Jayce Mel and Viktor will survive and maybe Caitlin's Mom but the others will die I think, maybe Mel will die too, but Viktor and Jayce will survive for sure
-Jayce didn't come to the council with his hammer, therefore no hextech shield. - At this point, the Z-drive wasn't created, so no time travel either. - It took several painful hours using the healing version of Shimmer to save Jinx from a single grenade, I don't think it will help much against the blast of an Hextech-enhanced rocket - plus Viktor has used the only dose he had, a single dose wouldn't be enough, they probably don't want the Shimmer side effects on Jayce and Viktor... So at this point, I either see protective magic from Mel (favorite possibility of mine), or just plain plot armour to save Jayce and Viktor (but that would be a real bummer), or... Everybody on the council is dead, including Viktor and Jayce, both champions in LoL (VERY bold move).
Arcane.......when i tell you that I LOVE THIS SHOW. I really MEAN I LOVE THIS SHOW. It is my favorite animated show of the year and my favorite show this year. The emotion ,the drama the ACTION. THE ANIMATION. OMG I can not stop talking about how much I LOVE THIS SHOW
Personally I think it's also a possibility that jinx's rocket sets back time somehow. Either that or heimerdinger helps Ekko create a device to alter time, and allows them to alter the explosion to before it even happens. There's lots that could happen which makes it so cool!
@@caspar4134 It's still possible for them to create a time machine that can set you back in the past longer than a few seconds. Correct me if I'm wrong but ekko had different time machines before finding one that continued to work. it's possible they create a time machine that's too powerful and they fix all the problems Jinx caused but then realize it could be used by bad people which starts to happen leading them to destroy it with Ekko keeping only a fraction of the working device that only sends you back in seconds, not as powerful as it once was.
I personally don’t think they get saved at all. Obviously key characters and any champs will live and just get banged up pretty bad but it’s always been destined for jinx to destroy piltover it’s in her lore. Even her splash art in the game is her in front of piltover destroyed
I both dread and anxiously await for the Viktor transformation into Machine Herald in season 2. I know it's going hurt, we're kind half way there already and I'm curling into a ball, but if they manage to handle his turn with half the delicacy they put into Jinx's I know its going to be awesome to watch.
If you go watch the Arcane Season 2 in Production video, just search it, it's on the League of Legends channel. The only confirmation we have is one of the core plot points will be Caitlyn wanting to go get Jinx and Vi wanting to go get her on her own. On the larger scale, I think Noxus being introduced is only the beginning. There are plenty of other nations, and this is planned for multiple seasons. That said, while I do love the boardroom games and politics, the heart of this show for me was Vi and Powder/Jinx. No matter where the show goes, I can't imagine them not being in it.

One of the best stories I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Very few books or shows, movies etc. have had me this invested in the characters. Not to say it's the best thing ever made, but this really had it all.
I think I've always supported the 'light side' in any show. There is always a villain, or group of villains in the battle for good over evil. This is the first time I've favoured the Dark over the Light. Jinx is far and away the limelight stealer of this show. I had a little inward cheer every time those jester booted, Tim Burton-esque skinny legs brought her on screen. I've never seen emotion done so convincingly in the eyes of an animated character. Her crying at the end, and the earlier scene where she injects Silco in his eye, HER eyes dart around his face. She's so stunning, she's as alive as almost any live-action character portrayal.
I think silco saw and expected jinx to be someone that would never betray him or he projected himself on jinx since in a way jinx felt like Vi left her. Thats why he kept her and didn't want Vi to take her away. Since he got betrayed by vander once.
Don't forget that the gloves that Vi was wearing in her final battle with Sevika create a shield as well. Hinting that hextech creates a shield based on the bearers need.
Minor correction: Mel's brother was named in the show. Kino, not Jae. Some of us are speculating if Jae might be a future Medarda (maybe Mel and Jayce's kid?)
It would be crazy if Fish Bones used Shimmer in it to turn everyone on the council into monsters. I don't expect all of them to die. Definitely not Jayce or Mel. But I DO expect Mrs. Kiraman to die. That gives Caitlyn plenty of reason to keep pursuing Jinx and have Vi become an enforcer to help her.
I subscribe to the first theory about Mel being a magic user. Infact, afer watching the final moments I said to myself that the way Mel's gold plates on her back glows and the way she looks over her shoulder is reminiscent of a spideysense. I speculate that she might save herself along with Jayce while Viktor survives through his magic. The rest of the council will die from the impact. For me, the glow and the look was just pretty obvious, subtle but still obvious.
I definitely believe that Viktor will end up saving the council, considering that his hexcore seemed to react in self defence when something will potentially hurt its 'host'. Remember when Viktor attempted to destroy the hexcore? The hexcore stopped him from doing that by neutralizing him. That's why Viktor is unable to destroy it himself, as he tried and failed. There's definitely some sort of link between them, so that one or the other is kept alive otherwise they both die. It also could be a coincidence or fate when Viktor almost killed himself and Jayce came to step in. For starters, how the heck did Jayce know he was there?! Did the Hexcore have something to do with this??? SO MANY QUESTIONS. anyways, that's my theory. Jayce doesn't have his hammer, so definitely not him.
Well I believe the only survivor from the rocket will be Jayce. You know Medarda's mother wanted to begin a war agains Zaun and what best reason to do it if her child was murdered by that attack.
Jinx did not try to protect her sister in the last scene, but she was trying to get rid of the hallucinations that were talking as we see in previous episodes. Doing so, she accidentally shot her “father” who is Silco.
I really enjoyed this video. I’m not a gamer and have only vaguely heard of League of Legends so i went into watching Arcane without knowing any lore. It was so good and your video really helped us “non league of legenders” piece some things together!

This show did an amazing job making me switch sides. The beginning makes you hate silco and look down at zaun and love jayce and piltover. By the end you realize jayce is an ass and got too much of an ego boost becoming a councilor and silco gave up everything to keep jinx.
That Ekko and Jinx fight scene was epic and impeccable. One of the best animated fight scenes ever. Pure jouissance as I watched paused and rewound it several times like “THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT!”.

I think the hole in the chair was from Jinx's shooting. Personally I think Silco was actually aiming in the direction of the councilors room. He was telling Jinx to fuck them up. If you compare the image of Jinx aiming fishbones and Silco aiming her gun it even looks the exact same

He knows Vi is the only chance he has of losing his "Jinx" so he definitely wanted to kill her. As much as people are sympathizing with Silco in all of this, that he really "loved" her, I think we have to realize that Silco caused all of this. Put Powder in the situation to try and save her family. VI ALWAYS intended on coming back to powder but was stopped by Marcus. We can't forget that. As much as Jinx wants to blame VI for her being the way she is, this is ALL Silco's fault. Silco created Jinx, and has filled Powder's mind with lies that she has no one else who cares for her. This is proven when he tries to klill VI even when her blood sister comes back.
This show was absolutely breathtaking, tense, well written, great action, and incredible animation

Honestly, it's a master class in screen writing. I love that it's so character driven. The plot doesnt try to dictate what the characters do. The plot bends to the will of the characters, they run the show, and every choice they make is logical, which makes it a less frustrating watch compared to other shows where characters with established traits act "out of character" bc the plot demands it. Just awesome stuff

This show is not affraid to go there. I think one fine example is when Jayce kills the child and Vi tells him how that death is nothing compared to all the deaths and she refers to those who die in the hands of Silco, shimmer, the council, the enforcers, etc. To let Jayce know that he had blood in his hands before he attacked the facility and that in a way that wasn't his first kill. On the third part we get to see how morally grey all the characters are. Silco wasn't a completely evil person, Jayce isn't completely good and everybody else. These characters are complex. Even Heimerdinger and Vander who had good intentions but by being inactive and complacent they were instrumental in the systematic oppressions and cruelty towards some people.

The most heartbreaking part for me was Jinx's disappointment at the end when she realizes Vi only wants Powder, but her life so far doesn't allow her to revert to Powder anymore, hence they can never get back together.
Vi actually pushes her sister away twice, once when she abandons Powder, and another time when she makes it clear she only wants Powder when there is now only Jinx.
Counterpoint, Jinx is a mass murderer.
See from Jinx's perspective yes, however I think it's important to take into consideration that Silco is an enabler. Silco loves Jinx in every way but he enables all the (self)destructive tendencies Jinx has. Vi does the opposite, Vi loves her and with time could've probably accepted Jinx for Jinx (they only had like 1 conversation before this), but she doesn't enable or support Jinx's destructive actions.
Looking at it from a trauma standpoint: Traumatic events change people, and when the trauma is left to linger and fester it in the dark it can lead to seriously bad things. Jinx's trauma lead her down a dark path, a path Silco embraced, letting Jinx get swallowed up in her trauma. While the small time Vi got to know Jinx she tried to steer her away from that. Obviously she seriously messed up in how she handled it, but trauma isn't a justification for allowing bad things to happen.

It's truly remarkable how intricate the story is. Every piece has a meaning and affects the overall narrative. Truly amazing.
I don't believe a second that Silco would have aimed at Jinx. She is the only one, I genuinely believe, he would sacrifice his life for.
He wanted just to make Vi stop talking but he underestimated the bond that Jinx still has to Vi. Jinx may let her go or she escapes but Jinx will
blame Silcos death on her and that's probably the end of Vi's belief to bring Powder back. What will be left are enemies of them.
I feel that Medara, Jayce, and Victor will be saved by Medarda. It looks like she was about to create a force field. But the others in the back who are
further away may get killed. Definitely an intriguing series so far. I played lol for 7 years before I stopped 2 years ago. I knew it has an amazing lore.
But I would have never guessed that they would nail an adaptation of it so well.

Granted, I think how likely the reconciliation is will depend on whether Jinx’s rocket actually *does* anything (I heard some theories that Mel’s jewelry glowing could indicate it would create something to save the Council). But, I do think and hope there will be reconciliation of some sort.
Personally, though, I think Vi and Jinx’s arc in Arcane will end, at best, with the two on opposite ends of the law, but with the chance that in the future, things can get better.
And perhaps, since Riot does want to make a “League of Legends Extended Universe”, a future story will have them reconcile for good.
Pretty sure the Giant Nuke was a big middle finger from Jinx to Vi and anything they had.

In any case, Jinx launching that rocket into the Council's "headquarters" is a pretty clear and good excuse for war to break out between the two regions. Not to mention Mel, a Noxian and the daughter of a high ranking official, being present/a target of the attack giving Noxus reason to involve themselves militarily with Zaun. Piltover is also a major shipping route and trade hub for Runterra so other nations may also be inclined to take a more active role in intervening in Piltover's conflict with Zaun.

well the other Nations might help Zaun in exchange for hextech weapons that was the main reason for Jayce wanting Jinx in jail as she knew how to construct hex tech. piltover wasn't handing over their secrets a newly formed nation that not dependent on hextech for their economic success would probablly be more willing to hand it over for say an army to sack piltover.

Yeah whats cool is that you don't have to play the game to watch this show, in the game the characters have simple back storys, like Jinx and Vi, but Arcane went more in depth with their characters and others.

The show takes place before the characters reach the point in their development that's represented by their game personas. Caitlyn, for instance, isn't the sheriff yet, and hasn't gotten her signature purple tophat. Listening to voice lines from League and reading the character descriptions, it's quite obvious that they're dating by that point. But no, so far they're just sort of testing the waters. They only met a few days ago in the show, after all.

But that's not the story being told with these specific characters. Re-watch the scene where they lie down together in Caitlyn's bed, and imagine the same exact situation playing out with the same lines and camera angles, but with Vi being a man. Be honest with yourself, would that scene make it into the show if the characters weren't at the very least interested in each other?
They mentioned Mel's brother's name it was Kino not Jae. Plus Jae is heir apparent to a Medarda in Piltover not Noxus. I def think Mel might be part Solari/Targon because she was wearing clothing that looked like Solari as a kid. Her gold glowing might be her using an ability that will save herself, Jayce, and Viktor. Jayce and Viktor are seated next to her so something needs to able to save them since they would be 2 close to the blast. I do expect Mel or Viktor to be injured so that we have a reason for Jayce to not destroy the hexcore.

The quality of season 1 is so mind-blowing, all I wish is for them to keep the same standards, even if it takes many years. Rushing a season 2 by lowering the quality would be a big disappointment.

But from what we've heard so far, it's probably going to be around 2 years, because they had already been working on it. For season 1, a big part of those 6 years was testing many different stuff in terms of writing and art direction, to see what worked best. Now, they already have the foundations and the art direction in place, so it would make sense that production is going to be faster than for s1.

It’s not just the best video game adaptation, it’s one of the best animated shows period. And this was only the first season. If they manage to keep up that momentum (and I honestly think they can) then this could very well turn into my favorite animated show of all time, maybe even my favorite show. I know that’s super high praise, but I honestly believe it. The only thing I’m kind of worried about is that they might end up rushing it, but I heard they were already working on season 2 before all of season 1 was released so hopefully that’s a good sign

The one who shot Silco is Powder not Jinx, she wants to protect VI and that's her last act before Jinx take over completely.
Theory:
If you ever noticed the crows around jinx, observing her, spying.. possibly whispering to her even? Could be swains crows and he is also the powerful Noxian man that killed Mel's brother for crossing him? Him observing from a far with his crows, slowly taunting jinx into insanity in hopes of the outcome of how season 1 ended, forcing an avenging war against Piltover/Zaun for Mel's death, through her mother.
Swain ends up becoming a grand general, and it wouldn't surprise me if this is how. A country built on war, lives for war and he's the strategist who makes the moves so they/he can conquer lands for their riches, such as hextech.

I have a feeling that Oriana may be Singed's daughter because in Arcane he did say "I once had a daughter too" and why would he look at the picture if it wasn't a member of his family? And I think he lost his daughter and he thought she was dead but actually maybe she is not and I think she will be a new character of Arcane Season 2 so I have this feeling that Oriana may be his daughter. Mel has an aura of a game character. The design for her is just magnificient. I'm an LoL player, but I was startled the moment I saw her. I thought she was a new character that I had missed. Would love to have mel as a new game character 👀👀 (if she actually survived the rocket).

I think Riot's hit a gold mine here and looking forward to Season 2. The way this was written I can even imagine a standalone movies or Marvel / DC - like franchise
The amount of swag all of these characters have on the show is what really sold me, also the story and visuals. But just a walk, a look, the tilt of a head, or the they they sit or move...amazing
I predict that Heimerdinger is going to die by the Hexclaw. In Episode 4, Viktor tried to use the Hex claw to carve a picture of Heimerdinger, but accidentally cut off the top right side of the stone block. This could probably be foreshadowing of Heimerdinger's death.

Just finished last episode today. Wow. Without question greatest video game adaptation ever. That season was more gripping and well written than most live action shows. Real characters with complex personalities and motivations.. Nobody is black or white but shades. Who are the heroes and villains isn't easy to answer.
6:58 i dont think that's Silco's intention. Vi keeps on mentioning names that triggers Jinx's PTSD in an attempt to get Powder back. Vi probably dont know that those names are connected to Jinx's bad memories instead of good. Silco's stopping her cuz he knows hearing those names will hurt and trigger Jinx.
And an opinion , i dont think he manipulated Jinx.

I agree with the idea silco never really manipulated jinx. I think in a way Vi trying to keep her emotionally sheltered and not teaching her (how to take hits) ended up leading to a Bigggg problem in which she always runs away from her problems and never really self reflects "deep enough". It's always someone's else fault to her in a way.
Silco definitively manipulated her. The constant lies about Vi to make Jinx believe that he was the only one who cared, that they were both abandoned in order to create a bond with her. Him making it seem like he was her only support in the world definitely is a form of manipulation, because of course if you feel like you lost everyone you’re going to run to the ‘only’ one holding out their arms.
@@xoxarily he genuinely thought Vi was dead, they were both abandoned and he wasn’t there when Vi left so all the information that he got about what happened before he showed up was from Jinx herself so there’s no way he could’ve lied to her. On top of that if he truly never wanted Jinx to move on he would’ve never suggested to ‘kill powder’, do the baptismal thing with her or suggest that Jinx was perfect despite all the mistakes she made.
The fight between Powder and little man Eko was awesome
Whoever directed and animated that fight scene deserves all the awards.
I find it interesting that so many recurring themes in the series are family, love and loyalty. The plot of the show mostly revolved around them. Vi's repeated betrayal in Jinx's eyes is what drove her to become Jinx. It was her conflicted feelings about those between Vi and Silco, whom she both loved but didn't know who she could trust that lead to the ending and her fully embracing Jinx.
As far as Ekko's references go, in the fight between him and Jinx on the bridge they showed a flashback to when they used to spar as kids. It seems he used to use it to time himself, trying to get to her before she could hit him with her gun. He smashed it as a kid, but kept it still. I'd say that's an obsession with time that he has. And his lore shows he invented the z-drive as a way to undo mistakes he made and save people he wasn't able to save. Also the case he carried the hextech gem in looked similar to the z-drive case. I think he'll show up at some point in season 2 with it.
When it comes to the council and the rocket attack, that's obviously going to cause a huge stir. I think most of the council will wind up dying. We know that Jayce and Victor survive because they are champions. The explosion will probably trigger the final stage of Viktor's Glorious Evolution. He's still linked to the Hextech core. Possibly the reaction with the rocket's hextech explosive and mutated body parts will be enough counter force to save Jayce. Or maybe Mel has some hidden powers that will protect them. It seems odd that they would introduce Mel's mother, have all the lore with them, including a hanging threat towards the Merdada family and then kill her. It's possible she dies, but I don't think it too likely. The other councilors though... I think they'll either die, or be so badly injured as to be out of comission.
In season two we'll see some changes... With Jayce possibly the only surviving councilor let and no Sherriff, I think he'll appoint Caitlyn to the role. She doesn't have the experience, but with the recent revelation that Marcus was in Silco's pocket for years, he'll want someone he knows absolutely isn't compromised. That would be Caitlyn. And her #1 priority would be to stop Jinx. Who I very much doubt is just going to be quiet after this. The voice over for the season 2 announcement included Vi wanting to go after 'her' alone, Caitlyn wanting to work with someone and Jinx saying she was glad it was 'you' that came after her. The 'you' could only be Vi... So I think this is how Vi will become an Enforcer, to work alongside the new Sherriff of Piltover to bring in Jinx, who's going to go full terrorist.
The last act of the council was to agree to the formation of the nation of Zaun. But Silco's dead, so who would lead it? Sevika? Maybe, she was one of the two people Silco trusted. The remaining chem barons will probably fight over who is in charge now. So the situation of Zaun is probably going to be so much worse than before, with near or open warfare. And probably the person who killed Mel's brother will show up at some point. That is a plot thread dropped late and still hanging at the end.
Mel's plates seem to be underneath her dress, and the camera goes through the trouble of x-raying her dress to show us the plates and how they glimmer. It seems highly unlikely that they're just decorative.
I just wonder where she would get an iron solari from.
I have not been so obsessed over a show so much in a long time as I have for Arcane. And I’m hyped for season 2!
Silco actually does fire at Vi. For a split second you can see the shot hit the chair right above her shoulder.

I cant tell you how much I fell in love with Vi! Such a stunning character, so good! All those scenes where she is fighting, talking in the deepest voice, amazing!! Strong, independent, inteligent, fearless woman, breathtaking! 🥰
It looked like Sky was absorbed by the Hex Core, empowering it further. The Core also seems to have power over Viktor.
The scene played out like the core stopped him from smashing it and then took away Viktors improved health as a punishment.
It definitely looked sentient for a moment there

The core is corrupting him, maybe the main reason why Viktor could turn into the Viktor we know from the game.

I am 100% convinced that Mel either is wearing some enchanted armor with magical properties that will protect her and people near her from the rocket explosion, or that she has magical powers. There are two key reasons why :
1. Jayce and Viktor are sitting right next to her, and we know that they can't die because they are champions in the game. Given everything we know about the hextech gem and Jinx's abilities at building explosives, this rocket should at least blow up half the building. So unless some kind of magical plot device occurs, there is no way this rocket just blows up the building without somehow killing 2 characters that we know cannot die storyline-wise. Mel having powers or magical artifacts is one of the only ways they can possibly survive the situation they are in.
2. It would be very expected of Riot to try and invest people into a character in the show, and then release them as a champion in the game to attract a lot of new players from the hype. The only non-champion characters that have had a lot of backstory and screentime invested into them are Silco and Mel. We know that Riot briefly considered making Silco into a new champion (from Riot employee posts on the forums), but they decided not to because he has no combat abilities to justify him being in a Moba. Mel still has a lot of mystery surrounding her, and clearly a huge amount of effort has gone into her visual design and story. It just wouldn't make much sense for them to kill off the only new character that they have invested effort in.
I'm really digging the theory thag Mel is going be a champion soon. That last scene with gold in her back is indicating she has powers. We all know Jayce, Viktor and Caitlyn's mom are gonna survive (according to Caitlyn's lore).

I was surprised by how well written this show was. Nobody is really two dimensional - even Silco is revealed to be a complex character and the scene of his death was tragic.
That said, I expect the rest of the series to follow on LoL's primary lore, with all of the introduced characters' stories eventually intertwining.

The man who gave Jayce the gem stone was heavily implied to be Ryze and he plays a significant role on LoL lore.
Also, Runes and Magic have been established via Jayce and Viktor's tales, the emergence of Hextech and Heimerdinger's flashback or vision, when he warned them to destroy the Hexcore.
It is implied that Heimerdinger was remembering events of the Rune Wars... and if we're getting flashbacks of this and foreshadowing of things to come via Hextech, magic and the runes ... It's safe to assume that the Void and Celestials will eventually come into play as well.
But we're likely a few seasons away from this.
I expect Season 2 to continue where Season 1 left off. Ekko will likely be the one to save the Council and Viktor will also play a role in saving Jayce (yet again) ... thus cementing him on the dark path we know he will eventually fall to.
Season 2 will see the formation of Zaun, the Warwick reveal, Ekko's signature weapon, Heimerdinger joining the fray as the tinkerer he is, Jayce becoming the champion we know and so forth.
I think from there, we'll follow events on Noxus and possibly Demacia as well... Either towards the tail end of S2 or going into S3. That's when we'll start following Darius, Garen and crew.
Here's to hoping the series remains good and successful so we can have several more seasons!

I love this. I just wish that they kinda kept the original storyline instead of having Viktor as a sick man trying to live, but he was actually in conflict with Jayce and when he gets sent back to Zaun, he builds himself into a machine to lose all emotions. The Warwick reveal will be insane, as it is most likely Vander and maybe because the Zaun doctor joins as Singed as well.
The only thing I want more of is Heimerdinger. Just the best imo. Theres not enough in the series showing what he is capable of. I hope that comes in Season 2 forreal.
@@_Primary i don't think they can . if they try we will get fragmented storylines not a whole world so some changes are needed , but they keep the spirit of the champions thats mater most . in the original lore Victor created the chem solders but in the Arcane Singed did it .With the original lore will be realy hard to explane how hextech is born . LoL lore is vast but is fragmented so they need to fill the gaps by this kind of changes
@@_Primary I don't think they've deviated from Viktor's original story, rather they're adding more depth to it and fleshing it out.
He and Jayce are already in the beginning of conflict and Viktor id already on the beginnings of his dark path.
There are a few ways that this will inevitably end with them being rivals/enemies and Viktor completing his transformation.
Also, Singed created chemical soldiers but it's likely that Viktor will refine them.
We get a foreshadowing of this in Viktor's flash backs and his return to Singed where he admits "I understand now".
Truth be told, this series is likely to remain dark for a while and I think S2 os going to be darker and more tragic.
We're going to see the relationship of Jayce and Viktor breakdown, culminating in Viktor joining Zaun and finishing his transformation.
Essentially escaping death but truly dying as his transformation will kill off who he was.
We're going to see the breakdown of Jayce and Medarda's relationship.
We're likely to see that Singed's experiments had to do with his attempts to save his daughter, Orianna (this was foreshadowed several times).
And we're going to get our Warwick reveal and the revelation that he was once Vander after his reveal.
Vi is going to discover this and in the process (obviously through revelation that Vander survived all those years ago) and in the process will have lost her sister, Powder and their surrogate father, Vander.
Ironically, one having become a monster psychologically and the other, literally.
And it's likely that she'll have to bury both in the same ways ... One psychologically and the other, literally... Meaning she'll have to let Powder go and she'll have to kill Vander (Warwick).
We're also likely to get an easter egg or foreshadowing of Mundo as well via meeting the man who will become him.

They were never close like they are in Arcane. But yea, I dont mind the new, slight variation at all. Im expecting a darker season 2, and Im all for it! Mel most likely has a unique ability that protects her. After rewatchhing the last few seconds, I see that the gold shining on her was not from the rocket it was from mel herself! Also remember that they're all sitting in chairs with tall backs. There's no way she would've seen the rocket if she turned , but whatever that gold things is on her back helped her sense the rocket was coming. And if I'm not mistaken, there was a scene where mel was woken up from her sleep, like she sensed something
Yow...Netflix gets a big W with this one! The characters, the storyline, the artistry, and dont even get me started on the sound track 🔥🔥🔥🔥 this is the only series i watch that i dont skip the intro and i sing alone every time. I dont see Arcane going anywhere for now and i cannot wait for season 2. And its not just the visuals and the sounds but the way the story is told. That fight scene with Jinx vs Echo...that flashback of their childhood game right b4 the face off was simply poetic. Did i say i cant wait for season 2??...cass i really cant wait for season 2 🙌🙌🙌

Netflix doesn't really have nothing to do with it. Riot could have went with any platform but I'm guessing Netflix had the better deal to host it but as for the works of making this show. Netflix didn't do anything and its probably why its so good. This show has been in the making for over 6 years.

haven't had a show made me feel like this in a LONG LONG time. The characters, plot, dialogue, voice acting, art style, details, landscapes, music were absolutely beautiful to say the least. I began watching solely on artstyle and music and it did not disappoint, so happy i did watch it and really excited for season 2 :D
I don't even play lol but I love this series. I was so captivated by the storyline, character development and everything!
The second before the first “bomb” exploded Mylo managed to free Vander and Claggor managed to destroy the wall for them to escape. If Jinx hadn’t been there they would all survive.
The same thing happened in the last scene of the show. The second before Jinx’s “shark bomb” hit the city all of the counselors had agreed to make peace with Zaun. We can clearly see Mel raising her hand in last and then the bomb appearing behind her. Once more, hadn’t Jinx exploded the bomb everyone would be fine - not only alive but at peace and with Zaun and Piltover becoming two different cities, just like Silco wanted.

Silco was the first and only person to stand up for jinx, even if her actions backfired. He always relied on her. He loved her. “You are perfect”🥺
He *was* attached to her but in no way was silco good to her. He told marcus to kill vi and when he found powder he told her lies and manipulated her to his own gain. Then he acted as an enabler to her for the rest of the show. You can love and still be a bad guy. Silco was a brilliant antagonist and I loved every second he was on screen, but he did not ‘stand up for her’ he enabled her. That is not a healthy relationship nor was it good for Jinx.
I mean but telling her she's perfect and just giving her no repercussion for her actions had a strong effect on her mental state. Silco wasn't helping her get better by telling her she was perfect or helping her cope. Silco just expected for her to get better the same way he did when they had different situations and a different time.
but he was also manipulating her. it is obvious that jinx still longs for vi's love and acceptance, but silco knew if the sisters reunite he would lose her. kind of selfish... true love should involve selflessness

Caitlyn I think will be like Vi from season 1. She will go on to hunt down Jinx. Cause her mother will most likely die from that explosion.

That or they will become partners like in the lore. Since Vi now realizes she needs to put down powder(or if she becomes an enforcer, arrest her)
Heimerdinger might help ekko discover his time manipulation ability.

This show really was a breath of fresh air. Personally, I have a hard time enjoying shows because of self awareness but this one is interesting in how well certain themes and explanations were shown.
This show taught me a lot, it's so breathtakingly beautiful, Silco and Vander weren't even that different, Vi only wanted Powder when Jinx and Powder were two sides of the same coin... The relationships, stories, pain, sadness and cruelty in this show was just made so well. Through this whole show I hoped that we could finnaly have Powder back, just the way Vi did. But you can see the pain in Jinx' face as glowing tear treaks down her cheeks. She pulls the trigger knowing that nothing will ever be the same,as the rocket flies through the city of Pitlover we see it is headed straight for Mel and as the glass shatters, we are left with a cliffhanger, just like in episode one, Powder... Has jinxed everything... once again
You forgot to include that Viktor augmented parts of his body already, so the hexcore could end up saving his life instead of having his body disintegrated by the Jinx blast.

I think Jayce Mel and Viktor will survive and maybe Caitlin's Mom but the others will die I think, maybe Mel will die too, but Viktor and Jayce will survive for sure
It's dark, it's gritty. Its freaking amazing. I was pleasantly suprised how much I enjoyed Arcane.
-Jayce didn't come to the council with his hammer, therefore no hextech shield.
- At this point, the Z-drive wasn't created, so no time travel either.
- It took several painful hours using the healing version of Shimmer to save Jinx from a single grenade, I don't think it will help much against the blast of an Hextech-enhanced rocket - plus Viktor has used the only dose he had, a single dose wouldn't be enough, they probably don't want the Shimmer side effects on Jayce and Viktor...
So at this point, I either see protective magic from Mel (favorite possibility of mine), or just plain plot armour to save Jayce and Viktor (but that would be a real bummer), or... Everybody on the council is dead, including Viktor and Jayce, both champions in LoL (VERY bold move).
I don't think Jayce and Victor are dead. Especially Victor. Probably very hurt but alive. Everyone else I think are dead.
Silco not only aimed he shot. The gun is seen smoking after he drops it, and you can see a bullet hole next to Vi's head.
Arcane.......when i tell you that I LOVE THIS SHOW. I really MEAN I LOVE THIS SHOW. It is my favorite animated show of the year and my favorite show this year. The emotion ,the drama the ACTION. THE ANIMATION. OMG I can not stop talking about how much I LOVE THIS SHOW

Personally I think it's also a possibility that jinx's rocket sets back time somehow. Either that or heimerdinger helps Ekko create a device to alter time, and allows them to alter the explosion to before it even happens. There's lots that could happen which makes it so cool!

@@caspar4134 It's still possible for them to create a time machine that can set you back in the past longer than a few seconds. Correct me if I'm wrong but ekko had different time machines before finding one that continued to work. it's possible they create a time machine that's too powerful and they fix all the problems Jinx caused but then realize it could be used by bad people which starts to happen leading them to destroy it with Ekko keeping only a fraction of the working device that only sends you back in seconds, not as powerful as it once was.

I personally don’t think they get saved at all. Obviously key characters and any champs will live and just get banged up pretty bad but it’s always been destined for jinx to destroy piltover it’s in her lore. Even her splash art in the game is her in front of piltover destroyed

I both dread and anxiously await for the Viktor transformation into Machine Herald in season 2. I know it's going hurt, we're kind half way there already and I'm curling into a ball, but if they manage to handle his turn with half the delicacy they put into Jinx's I know its going to be awesome to watch.

If you go watch the Arcane Season 2 in Production video, just search it, it's on the League of Legends channel. The only confirmation we have is one of the core plot points will be Caitlyn wanting to go get Jinx and Vi wanting to go get her on her own. On the larger scale, I think Noxus being introduced is only the beginning. There are plenty of other nations, and this is planned for multiple seasons. That said, while I do love the boardroom games and politics, the heart of this show for me was Vi and Powder/Jinx. No matter where the show goes, I can't imagine them not being in it.
They will definitely be back, don’t worry. And this time I hope Vi protects her, since the Council and the rest of the world will want Jinx’s head.

I think I've always supported the 'light side' in any show. There is always a villain, or group of villains in the battle for good over evil. This is the first time I've favoured the Dark over the Light. Jinx is far and away the limelight stealer of this show. I had a little inward cheer every time those jester booted, Tim Burton-esque skinny legs brought her on screen. I've never seen emotion done so convincingly in the eyes of an animated character. Her crying at the end, and the earlier scene where she injects Silco in his eye, HER eyes dart around his face. She's so stunning, she's as alive as almost any live-action character portrayal.
Just an epic production by Riot. I was expecting some corny remake of the lore but this was way beyond any expectations I couldve had for this.
I think silco saw and expected jinx to be someone that would never betray him or he projected himself on jinx since in a way jinx felt like Vi left her.
Thats why he kept her and didn't want Vi to take her away. Since he got betrayed by vander once.
Don't forget that the gloves that Vi was wearing in her final battle with Sevika create a shield as well. Hinting that hextech creates a shield based on the bearers need.

I just want to see Cait and Vi both as a love couple and work partners. The chemistry they have is perfect.

Minor correction: Mel's brother was named in the show. Kino, not Jae. Some of us are speculating if Jae might be a future Medarda (maybe Mel and Jayce's kid?)

It would be crazy if Fish Bones used Shimmer in it to turn everyone on the council into monsters.
I don't expect all of them to die. Definitely not Jayce or Mel.
But I DO expect Mrs. Kiraman to die. That gives Caitlyn plenty of reason to keep pursuing Jinx and have Vi become an enforcer to help her.
I subscribe to the first theory about Mel being a magic user. Infact, afer watching the final moments I said to myself that the way Mel's gold plates on her back glows and the way she looks over her shoulder is reminiscent of a spideysense. I speculate that she might save herself along with Jayce while Viktor survives through his magic. The rest of the council will die from the impact. For me, the glow and the look was just pretty obvious, subtle but still obvious.
They already confirmed season 2 is in the works. Looks like itll still be focused around jinx and vi luckily.

I definitely believe that Viktor will end up saving the council, considering that his hexcore seemed to react in self defence when something will potentially hurt its 'host'. Remember when Viktor attempted to destroy the hexcore? The hexcore stopped him from doing that by neutralizing him. That's why Viktor is unable to destroy it himself, as he tried and failed. There's definitely some sort of link between them, so that one or the other is kept alive otherwise they both die. It also could be a coincidence or fate when Viktor almost killed himself and Jayce came to step in. For starters, how the heck did Jayce know he was there?! Did the Hexcore have something to do with this??? SO MANY QUESTIONS.
anyways, that's my theory. Jayce doesn't have his hammer, so definitely not him.

Well I believe the only survivor from the rocket will be Jayce. You know Medarda's mother wanted to begin a war agains Zaun and what best reason to do it if her child was murdered by that attack.

Jinx did not try to protect her sister in the last scene, but she was trying to get rid of the hallucinations that were talking as we see in previous episodes. Doing so, she accidentally shot her “father” who is Silco.
I really enjoyed this video. I’m not a gamer and have only vaguely heard of League of Legends so i went into watching Arcane without knowing any lore. It was so good and your video really helped us “non league of legenders” piece some things together!
