- Helldivers 2 is officially the ODST Game we never got but wanted. With it coming out that the Halo developers at one time pitched an idea similar to Helldivers 2. Would it have worked?

Well, it would have been a $70 game with halo infinite micro transactions...
Don't forget the season bundles that don't include the tickets to actually play for the season.
@FarmingUnclear I mean, I agree with the microtransactions, but the Helldivers battlepass system is almost 1:1 with Halo infinite's.
@@GumpierGoat2 Hello. I don't agree. To be honest i played infinite for a few moths after launch and i don't know how is it now.
I like HD 2 bp because it allows you to unlock items out of order on their pages. And you still have to spend the currency to unlock the next page.
I've unlocked the paid bp after 30-35 hours of gameplay, did not even farm super credits.
I think infinite's bp is the industry standard with useless free rewards and actual cosmetics are behind a pay wall. Which is not the case with hd2 and i like that.
Granted, haven't played halo in a while so things might be slightly different.
Considering the company that owns halo, I think you halo fans should feel lucky af. Dodged a major bullet there

Playing with randoms is honestly mostly a hit. Everyone lands with the same intentions in mind and even without mics you seem to work flawlessly to a point. When I do play with friends, the yelling nonstop can get a bit crazy tho XD

Halo ODST would be cool, but I prefer Helldivers II for the fact that the theme and propaganda style of Helldivers II. The over the top “FOR LIBERTY” screaming is great

I hate to be the contrarian, but I don't think Helldivers 2 is getting game of the year. I believe it DESERVES IT, don't get me wrong, but arrowhead studios didn't just embarass a handful of triple A studios. It embarassed THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY, ESPECIALLY those trying to monetize their games to hell and back. They stepped on some people's toes, and with how the system has been lately, there can be no greater offense to the nepotists in charge.
I like the Helldivers IP more than Halo, so its a good thing they didn't
