@@Aki-X to turn zombie villagers back into villagers, you need splash potion of weakness. witches have a chances to throw that potion to you. just make sure the zombie villager is nearby to get the effect.

@@timelessheister5439 First, in his first superflat world he didn't start with a bonus chest. Second, he started it in 2012.
Bonus chests actually have a chance to have saplings in them which is a game changer when it comes to no structures however sadly this feature is only in bedrock edition Minecraft
Actually you can do it without a bonus chest. In mudflap’s video, he downgraded his world to 1.14 for patrol emerald drops, and then went back to the version he was playing on before to trade the emeralds with a wandering trader for an oak sapling, providing both wood and apples.
also if the superflat is created in a way to be in a spruce biome you could kill enough foxes to get 5 emerals for a oak tree

I got lucky, I got a really good head start, in fact. I'm living in my jungle wood house currently, a wandering trader also spawned and I finally have oak and dark wood! I got the emeralds from curing a zombie villager with the witch technique, but that's it.

Pro tip if you only have one water source, place your water in a 2 deep hole (on the top block so it flows down) bonemeal the bottom of the hole and voila, 2 water source blocks. Works with kelp as well.

They need to do a food update with more crops maybe some seasonings herbs and a more interactive way of making food. As well as more recipes (obviously)

They fixed this by setting the minimum price for bookshelfs to 3 emeralds!!! Instead you can build a automatic string farm that uses a glitch to produce infinite strings. After that you can trade the strings to fletchers.

How to do it without a bonus chest:
Patrols spawn after 100 days of gameplay and once you see one, kill the pillagers ( you can lure them into a killing chamber because we have nothing) get five emeralds then wait for a wandering trader to spawn, trade with it for oak sapling so you can get planks and apples!
you can only get emeralds from patrols if you change the version to 1.14
You can only get ems from patrols in 1.14
I always find it very funny how super flat is so similar to Skyblock in mods like carpet sky. The only real differences are access to multiple biomes and all structure bounding boxes.

i was about to comment that you can literally get any kind of sapling from bonus chests, but decided to fact check myself. its only in bedrock edition lol. (before i had a pc, i always played on bedrock. i never used bonus chests by the time i got a pc, so i just assumed the loot was the same)

You can get the apple via fox > emerald > trader > oak tree.
You can get the wood the same way. The chest is not needed.
Foxes dont spawn in superflat since its one biome

Because of you I started my own superflat world (with villages already) and I was more invested in it than my normal world... sadly something happened and now I can't open the world so I'll have to either restart or just play on my normal world... another thing is I heard that in a snapshot, the trades are now based on biome or something like that so doing a super flat world where you rely mostly on trades will be a lot harder.

The wandering trader is only useful in superflat world survival challenges but not on a big ahh world where you can find every materials with ease
You can do this with no items at all, kill pillagers for emeralds and then trade with wandering traders for saplings
You actually dont need a bonus chest. Its possible to do what you did without a bonus chest.

This challenge is easier on bedrock where you can get saplings out of the bonus chest and most types of seeds
You dont even need the bonus chest. Someone beat the game with only superflat. No bonus chest, no structures. Wandering traders were a key part in it
😊 on 1.14 patrols of pillagers can spawn w vindicator so these drop emeralds that can be traded to a wandering trader for saplings
This thing can sell better at boxoffice than The Flash movie
