You can tell them apart easily when they're Stand ON. Boss VIce summons Cream to float above him while Player VIce enters Cream's mouth and you play as the Stand. The boss version actually kind of sucks because you can duck under pretty much all of his Stand ON moves and he lacks Player VIce's best moves.
Boss ice can kill in 4 moves. He mostly uses his unblockable invincible specials. Can't be knocked down as well. Bigger health too. But incomplete moveset.
Or do, because child mode old Joseph has no specials and not even all the normals of Young Joseph. Functionality-wise, he's just a child character with a bigger hitbox.
Tbh since alessi stand can age people to like much younger a standard atack should have no effect on dio apart from him getting jonathan clothing and no stand
