Paul I’m having a whale of a time getting my G-90 to work with HRD. I’ve tried digirig and the ce-19. Have tried using ic-7000 even. What sound cards have you used besides the DE-19? I hate to keep buying sound cards.
I would really like to know how to use the G90 with the XPA125B amp and the DE-19 expansion card. There seems to be no info anywhere on Xiegu’s new DE-19 interface, which is supposed to be an upgrade from the CE-19. I have both, but get too much RF interference to make the CE-19 work. Any suggestions?
Isn’t there a new update that gives you two actual digital modes? I think it’s Upper Dig and Lower Dig now. Great video. I think I’ve narrowed down my first HF radio to the G90.

Hi John. Thanks. I am not sure about using a soundcard for CW. For CW I just use my paddle. Let me know what you mean about using a soundcard for CW. I am a fairly new ham.
@@K2PMD Hi Paul, You can work CW (SSB mode) like psk or bpsk. The tones that are produced from fldigi or Ham Radio Deluxe will generate faux CW signals from your CPU in the SSB mode through the DF-19 to the G90. CW (morse) is the original "digi-mode" and there are several approaches to using it. CW (SSB) just happens to be a convenient tool which allows me (a disabled ham) to copy and send CW from the laptop with no physical key attached. 73s DE AG4KN - John
Good video. I have a New G90 and a relatively new General Class License and the DE19. Now I don't have to go get a Digirig or anything else. Once I finish the shack construction and set my rig back up I'll give FT8 a whirl. Say, do you have to unplug the box just to do phone or cw or can it stay hooked up? I cannot find any information regarding that. Hope you know. 73 KN6ZVI
Hi Alvin. That's awesome. With the addition of digital modes on the G90, you don't have to disconnect the cables or DE-19 to do voice or CW. Just switch to the correct mode.
Hello WindWalker. There is a CIV port on the left side of the Xiegu G90. So there is no need for a special cable: just a short 1/8" stereo plug to the DE-19.

Hi Sarah, I was never an owner of the CE19, because I didn't like its design; it also seemed to me to be a messy set-up. I have very short cables with the DE19 and it sits on top of G90, no muss, no fuss. It works flawlessly.
Hello. My first guess is, if one of your computers works with your setup and another doesn't, it's an issue with either the cable or the USB connector on the laptop. If you can see the connection in your Device Manager under Ports then you should be fine. (See the image as an example). If not then there is something wrong with the USB port on the laptop or you need a better USB cable.
@mhpreach Of course I can't be sure but it certainly sounds like a bad cable or a bad USB port, especially since it works on your other computer. There is no special USB driver for the DE-19 since it is plug and play.
Por mi parte ha sido COMPLETAMENTE IMPOSIBLE de configurar en dos ordenadores distintos... un montón de problemas con el COM, con las librerías DLL y con el JTDX y WSJT-X.... Ya lo tengo preparado para su devolución y reembolso... Seguiré haciendo FT-8 con mi Icom IC-7300 que funciona de maravilla! Una pena! Cuando hagan algo MAS FACIL DE CONFIGURAR y que sea PLUG&PLAY de verdad, lo compraré. Menuda BASURA! 73s
Para ser honesto, tiene razón sobre este producto. Desde mis pruebas iniciales, he tenido poco éxito con el DE-19. Simplemente no es confiable. He vendido mi G-90 y uso mi Icom 705 para el campo. Echo de menos tener 20 vatios, lo que sí marca la diferencia. Pero necesito una fiabilidad superior a diez vatios extra. Gracias por su honestidad. 73, Pablo K2PMD

Hi JJ. Yes there are with the latest firmware. Definitely a great radio and the 20 watts do make a difference, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Where do you plug the CIV cable into the radio?

I just picked up one of these. My HP windows 10 works the one I need to work the Dell latitude won’t sync. Do you know what USB driver is needed.
