I actually have a weird one i suffer from. Fear of plastic buttons. That means I have a a really hard time wearing shirts, suits, etc making life quite hard sometimes...

My main phobia is Athazagoraphobia
Basically I have a fear of being ignored or forgotten.
This mainly means for me that I am scared of people not finding any purpose in me anymore, not wanting me anymore, overall forgetting about me, etc. This stems from friendships where I felt I wasn’t close enough to the person because they forgot of me or something else.

Ground Zero same here. I have become terrified of meeting people that would want to be befriend me. It is usually "oh you're just a bit anxious to meet new people" but in reality I'm scared they won't like me anymore-

So true, but there are some phobias which lead to social isolation. Such as the phobic version of ARFID; Avoidance Restrictive Food Intake Disorder. The phobic variant comes when you've had a bad experience, and then compartmentalise the phobia. Like when I was 2 I ate a banana and threw up, and I have sensory issues and broccoli always used to make me puke and I had to swallow it with Sprite. Created a phobia of most foods apart from meat and carbs and desserts, which wasn't solved til I had hypnotherapy last year.
I had to take food wirh me to taste, and I ate half a banana no problem after 20 years of having a fear of it, as well as raw peppers, avocado, feta, cucumber, and salad leaves. Did I like them? Not all of them. But I could eat them without the fear.
I used to have a phobia of water. I asked my mom and she told me this,
“When you were a baby you actually loved water. Until your other grandma took care of you without permission, she kept pouring water until you drowned. After, when i came home you Vomited soap and water.” Right now, im trying to overcome that phobia, and i did.

I can fully understand you. I was really afraid of shampoo when I was little. It was partly because of that my parents held me when I was showering so I couldn’t move wich resulted in me getting a lot of shampoo and water in my eyes.

I’ve always had the fear of looking up in a building that’s really tall and a high ceiling.
I had the fear of flying up to the roof or sky, mainly because I also have acrophobia.

I have a phobia of vomiting called emetophobia. Weird ain't it? Like, if I feel like vomiting or think I might vomit, I cry and have a mental breakdown but I've never gone to the extend of a panic attack. But I feel nauseous and dizzy to the point I just want to fall asleep. No one knows I have this phobia.

You know what happend to me
so..I went to my cousins house and my flip flops broke and were not wearable anymore so they went out to a shop nearby and bought me some new ones BUT they had these tiny holes on the surface of them I had to wear them for 6hours straight YUCK!
I have textophobia. (The fear of certain materials.) but mines a wired one. I can’t touch felt. It freaks me out. But it gets really bad if it’s felt other people have touched. I just start crying if I come in contact with it.

I have Podophobia: The Fear Of Feet. Yes, the things you walk with. I always wear socks, no matter what (unless I’m in the shower). I have even gone far to wear swimming shoes whenever I go swimming, which is another problem since I see a lot of feet there. Even just seeing the word gives me an angry reaction, which is typically what I get when I see feet.

I have this as well. Quite badly. If someone is wearing sandals or barefooted, I do anything I can to try and avoid having them in my sight.

when i was young, when i first got an ipod, i had nomophobia. I used to be absolutely ADDICTED to my phone. Id be scared of being disconnected from the internet, missing everything thats going on. But as i grew up, I realized that the most fun you can have usually doesnt need a phone at all (besides occasional pictures)

have a weird phobia of certain types of toilets. Specifically automatic toilets, toilets with black seats (especially if they have a silver bowl), clogged toilets with overflowing water or broken toilets with no water, toilets with high cisterns, and worst of all airplane toilets. I once held my bladder for 7 hours on a flight from Canada to England because I had a panic attack every time I tried going to the bathroom. I’ve sort of gotten better with automatic toilets, as closing my eyes, plugging my ears, and getting out of the stall as soon as I’m done helps manage some of my anxiety. This phobia makes using public restrooms very hard for me so I try to avoid it unless I have to go really badly. I’ve never had a traumatic experience that I can remember involving these types of toilets so I have no idea what’s caused my irrational fear.

I know I’m going to be the only one with this phobia, but.
I have a phobia of, I kid you not, showering with the shower curtain closed. I feel like if I close it then, and I don’t know why, something’s going to break through the shower wall and try to attack me. Another and even stranger reasons why I have this phobia is I’m afraid of a dead body falling through the ceiling or something coming up out of the drain. The whole dead person falling out of the ceiling thing is because when I was about six years old I had stayed at my grandma’s house for a week while I was sick with mono and my parents were out of city on a little “away from the kids” vacation . So one day while my grandma was making dinner I was watching cartoons on TV. I for some reason decided to switch the channel and when I did an old horror films channel popped up. The channel was playing a movie in which a woman had just gotten into the shower and suddenly three decaying dead bodies fell through the ceiling. Sense I was not one to ever scream at stuff like this, even if I was scared of it, I just immediately switched it back to cartoons. That night when I was finally able to sleep, (for some reason even though I had mono, which actually makes you feel tired, it just made me have a very high fever and a little less energy) I end up having a terrible and horrific nightmare that I still remember vividly to this day of a dead body falling on me in the shower. So, there, that’s literally the whole reason behind my strange phobia.

Phonophobia or fear of loud sounds or objects/people that produce them. I have hyperacusis so loud and high pitched sounds feel like someone stabbing a knife in my ear. If I see a toddler or a balloon, I get an anxiety attack even before the loud sound happens.
I have tokophobia. An irrational fear of pregnancy and pregnant women. They disgust me. I know it's supposed to be a beautiful thing and I once believed that. However now I honestly can't be around or in the same room as one.
I sincerely apologise to any pregnant woman.

@Ein~draws I think in psychology, phobias have some deep anxiety routed into the fear, like with heights, people like cant psychically get close enough to look over a ledge or even touch a railing to look over at a certain height limit.

According to dsm-5 diagnostic criteria under anxiety disorders, phobias are a marked fear or anxiety of a specific object and always provokes immediate fear and it causes clinically significant distress. Phobia, as a mere "fear", is an understatement basically.
This one is kind of a goofy fear, but I’m afraid of black screens on technology. Because my brain thinks that a scary face would start screaming whenever there’s a black screen or when the device is turned off. I would always have dreams where a scary creature would crawl out of the TV and start chasing me.
I have this phobia when I close my eyes when showering I feel like a demon will be in front of me or behind me and grab me. The same when I'm alone in a room. That's why I like to be surrounded with people. Anyone know what this phobia is called?

Nah I have that to. Being near trains makes me want to break down and cry. Like once these kids were standing super close to the track and the train was coming and I was so scared. Like I was gripping on to the sitting area like I was going to fall.
I have ornitophobia, the fear of birds. I know it's quite embarrasing but I can't help it😭.

I got one i'm pretty sure, its the one about being afraid of seeing huge man-made objects/machines in deep waters. Like I get a weird feeling/tingle when seeing images of the Titanic or its boilers on the seafloor

not full on diagnosed with it, but sorta suspect i have "Podophobia". Dunno why, but feet since ive been a kid have always disgusted me to an irrational level xd Used to have panic attacks as a kid at the thought of going around barefoot.

Back in my teen years when I got high then got the munchies and ate, I'd have the phobia of choking when swallowing food while high.
that was probably bc of paranoia caused by weed
I have 2 phobias the first one is the fear of underwater plants or things that look like underwater plants. More specifically touching them. When I do I get so scared I almost drowned on modulable occasions so four me it is hard to go and swim in a lake. The 2 one is the fear of dogs more not their appetence but their barking. It's because of a traumatic event.

I have Thalassophobia (fear of ocean or large bodies of water) mainly in deep parts, but it does prevent me from going into deep pools, lakes, etc.

I have emetophobia which is the fear of vomit. Its debilitating at times. It caused me to avoid eating for a while for fear of throwing up. And I also check dates on foods constantly and will have a panic attack if someone even mentions being a little bit nauseous.
Amber Cremeans I suffer from the same thing lol. Mine isn’t as much with myself throwing up as it is with other people, so I can eat relatively normally. I panic any time someone mentions being nauseous like you do, and have had panic attacks in school multiple times. It’s nice to know I’m not the only with this fear :)
Natalie Elizabeth same. I have avoided bathrooms people have gotten sick in. And I freak out when babies spit up. I hope I can control this fear because I want kids when I'm older.
Amber Cremeans Bathrooms are a nightmare, especially public ones. When someone is sick in my family, I will lick myself in my room and cry for hours. Not to mention me avoiding that bathroom for the next two weeks.

Whenever I hear someone is sick, I stress out so much and avoiding touching like, everything! It's a terrible phobia to have T3T. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who has this phobia on here
This morning I went to softball practice and one of the girls was complaining that she had food poisoning last night and felt like throwing up. I was shaking through the whole thing and someone even asked me if I was ok. Uhhh I hate this fear so much!!!
Trypophobia is my kryptonite it makes me physically sick and I start gagging and sweating it might be a problem for all I know
