An excellent video, I loved it. Rolling through the Valley and the beautiful landscape, It reminded me of the Lake district in England. That valley would have probably been created by a Glacier thousands of years ago. As I said, an excellent video and I will look out for more.
    Greetings from UK

There's something deeply satisfying about NZ countryside with that glacial meltwater flowing under the bridges. I'm very envious! Best wishes from England.

Until I came across this video, I did not know - or think - that New Zealand had any railways! The scenery is magnificent.

New Zealand was founded by the British, who invented the railways.

There’s something deeply satisfying hearing those diesels rumbling away.

Seems like you have to goto the South Island for proper train horns these days ....

Unfortunately they'll likely be phased out when new locomotives for the South Island - DM class - arrive

12:22 Those are some pretty tight corners at that speed 😬

It's signedposted for 55 km/h there, which could be a 200 metre radius curve about?

34 km total trip in 43 minutes, so they were not really going fast. It's uphill all the way.
