What a performance! He was learning English at this time together with Chinese, so a very difficult time with language, but, regardless, he nailed every performance. Freddie would have loved Dimash.

Just realize this was the Singer professional singer competition in China in 2017. Any performances from this competition are going to be over the top performances. Dimash was told that if he did not go all out every time he went out on stage, he would not get the votes of the 500 member audience who were the judges of the competition. All 500 were hand picked professionals in the music industry and were very competent to judge singers and musicians. So Dimash at 22 yrs of age needing to "wow" a professional audience was very intimidating. Of course he did an excellent job and essentially became a singing god to this professional audience. He also became a megastar to the multi-millions of Chinese (and other countries) who watched this tv show.
