    I love to see John Deere, International Harvester, Case, & a Ford of all companies that I didn't build tractors playing among the other european manufacturers

    My almost 2 year old son has seen this at least 10 times. He can only sleep after having seen "tractooooor" :-)

    Anyone noticed that GoPro on the sled weight?
    Would be nice if we could get a view from there too sometimes.

    Why do they all puke liquid water by under ?
    and the smoke or vapor ?
    is it blowby or something else ?

    • @philipkaiser5663
      @philipkaiser5663 8 лет назад +1

      +michaelovitch I think it's their cooling system: Just let the water boil and vent the steam out of the system. Not very elegant but the rules seem to require it. Also around 1/3 of the total combustion heat goes in the water jackets in the engine so the required radiator would be extremely large.

      Ok,thank you.
      I thought they had a cooling system.

      They are cooled by water If the engine is running too hot some water is injected into the engine block the reason its puking water is because there so much pressure inside that engine its really hard to keep it all under control.

      Definitely is. I live here in Denmark, and tractorpulling, while not exactly “big” in that sense, we have more than our fair share of events. I actually think that we once had the ProMod world champion over here, although I’m not sure. If correct, then it must’ve been “Slædehunden”, y’know, 15-20.000hp (no dyno is durable enough to test it), 25-30.000N/m of torque(about 20-24.000ft/lbs), one BIG supercharged V8 and two EVEN BIGGER twin turbo V12 diesel engines. Not exactly your average tractor...

    Is is only an old man's competition?
    What could be the average price for the tractor?
    Is one permitted to drive it work like a regular car?

    • @pepsigasmlulw8832
      @pepsigasmlulw8832 8 лет назад +2

      Females compete in this sport as well and the cost for a Pro stock tractor is above the $200K mark

    why do they have to be pulled back? they are still running while being pulled....

    • @leebarnett5577
      @leebarnett5577 9 лет назад +5

      +rlorion most likely for safety for pulling them back and they are most likely letting them run back to let the motor and the turbo cool to minimize wear.

    Hey mate :)
    I have 2 questions :)

    2: Why is the headlights only turning on when the RPM's are high? :P
    Have always been wondring xD

      they use water cooling like in most pro racing

    • @RoisinT2
      @RoisinT2 8 лет назад +1

      +peter larsen 1. yes in most cases it's coolant. Sometimes from engine it self, sometimes from Intercooler
      2. They are hooked up on to boost pressure. When bar's rising, valve opens/switch them on.
