Helping to a stranger in time without any expectation and replying to messages is something i salute and you have undying gratitude for this ! I made my bot using this solution, there are 3 more steps i added to this based on my scenario that 1) "send hot key to end", 2) click validate another number, 3) If result is not correct then get the result populated as "incorrect", now it works like charm! This is just one part of my 12 scenarios in a bot.. If i have any questions I will ask you ! And, yes you pronounced my NAME CORRECTLY ! Thanks again Anders! :) :) :)

I made another sample with the same that the checks the Email Address based on two columns, col A, enter it in in First Name, Col B Enter it in Last Name and get the First Name, Last Name and Email Address in one sheet. I tried but i did not specified the columns I guess, so it is not giving me the email Address in the Col C, instead in Col B after the last row of the first name and last name the mail address is getting added ! may be a small change but i am trying!
Is the "indicated screen" minimized or completely gone? If it's the first you can use the attach window for more stability and if it is the last, I would make a check first if the window exist.

Another Great video. btw i solved the rpa challenge, on the excel it was "last name " with an extra space and my data table list had "last name" with no spaces... dam ! it took me time to realize that.
You are doing great work. It's is helping a lot of people. But don't forget to mention every single small things. Like to write in two columns, we write in add data row in array row variables with curly braket. Yes, doing basic, was confused how to add. And I found your video.
It is stopping if the search result is not found, so I think we should add one more step to the above video if you can explain that too it will be great. Thanks for the video man.
Hey Santhosh. That's an important aspect - exception handling. And yes in a working flow, I would have to create a catch for, when there are no search elements. Kind regards, Anders
Hey Stuby. Thanks a lot. Great question. If we have no search results, UiPath will throw an error and the robot will stop (not great). We can prevent that, by putting everything in a Try Catch (where we try the search, and if an error occurs, we catch it and can continue witht he next search afterwards). Hey Lydia. Excel got more features, but after all, I'm using the DataTable activites 99% of the time, so it's not an issue. Generally you want to go with Workbook activities if Excel is not installed on the user's computer. Kind regards, Anders

Hello, thank you for the tutorial. In my case, I need a method to get the opened excel path, because the path is not constant. I know there are c# libraries that do this, but I'm not sure how to implement this in UiPath. Is it possible? Does anyone know how? On all the yt tutorials, the users already know their excel path, but in my case I don't.

Great Video, Thanks for your time to share the solution. Is it possible to implement exception handling. Eg: If Search word is not present bort is failing. Can you please provide solution to exclude and proceed with next search item from the excel sheet.
Hey Laksminarayna. Thanks 🙂 You want to implement a try catch then. Here is a guide for that ruclips.net/video/qpD2TIgPk_U/видео.html You can just skip the logging part to excel, if you dont want that. But the concept is the same. You "Try" something (search the web from you search word), if an exception occurs (search word is empty), you go the catch section and perfom the action there and continue. Was that useful for you? May I ask for some help? It is sort of a follow up here. I have a sister with Diabetics. She gets results when she checks her values. This values shows in her program 24 hours. Then it starts over. She manually types them from her program to an Excel sheet every day. If she miss one it is gone. If she go to her doctor they can get a month result by special authoritys to the program. I have come so far so it collect the values in a one singel column. It is four rows. Date as header. And then 3 values a day. I would like it to put them in a Excel file where the informations goes to a "next" empty column. So Row 4 is the Dates. Row 5 is "08:00", Row 6 is "14:00" and Row 7 is "20:00". How do I make it to check the next empty column and type in a special row? Hope I make my self understod. :) Tanks.

Hello @Anders Jensen... I am creating a project where i need to connect to remote PC using TeamViewer and transfer some files from the remote PC onto my PC or any Server/Database. I am able to create automation for one PC....But I have multiple PCs (more than 50) connected to my team viewer and I need to perform similar activity for each remote PC. Can you help me to do this? How can i make the robot choose one PC for file transfer and automatically move onto the next PC after completing the file transfer on the previous PC? Hello, you've got a great video right here! I wasn't familiar with this kind of automatization until now and I do appreciate you sharing the knowledge. I have a similar question however mine is a bit complicated and I'm not sure if it is executable. Now, I don't know how familiar you are with salesforce but that's where I search reference numbers. The thing about it is it is a platform where when you search a ref. numb. the link above changes a bit as it is opening the exact case with all the info about it. And the reason I might be looking into one is the system already failed to recognize some info because it wasn't entered at the correspondent field and it might be anywhere within the page in between any text and any field. That's when I Ctrl+F to find if what I'm looking for exists. Also, I know the first 3 digits of what I need but not the rest. Do you have any suggestion on how to modify the processes so it does the job for me? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Anders. Is there a way to copy data from active workbook, from active pdf, from active email? I need to log into a site, for each row in active excelworkbook create a folder and type the data into the site, click on the lines with attachment which will open an email document, I need to open the pdf inside the email and copy a value from the pdf into excel, save that email in the folder. Any guidance will be appreciated.

Thanks for making these videos Anders, much appreciated. Issue I'm having with this is that when the data is copied to Sheet2, it's duplicating the first line of my output column. So, B2 and B3 are the same and the rest of the column is off by 1. Any way to resolve this?

@@andersjensenorg After I posted the question I played with several instances of the delay activity. Unfortunately, none of those delays worked. I started entering data manually to see how the page responded and noticed that sometimes the page wouldn't return the search data after hitting Enter. So, I added a few (3) "[k(enter)]" after my input string and that seemed to solve my issue.

Hey Harsh. We use the Read Range to read the Excel sheet into a Data Table. The Data Table is structured the same as the sheet (rows and columns), but it gives us the possibility to apply different functions/methods on it. After we finished doing that, we write the Data Table back to an Excel sheet. Does that make sense? Kind regards, Anders

I realize if I have to OPEN Browser, I get only "Open Browser in Incognito mode" option and not the regular browser. Hi Anders, i am following your tutorial but i changed it so that i can learn something, instead of type into i am using dropdown(selectItem Activities), and i am using variables to assign values. I have one excel document that have two sheets("Category"&"Province") respectively, so i have two read range activities with two datatables for CategoryDt and ProvinceDt. I then have an open browser activity where i assign the url("etenders.treasury.gov.za/content/advertised-tenders") to the variable called path. i then have the 1st for each row loop for the CategoryDt and created a variable called Category to hold the data from the CategoryDt using that row.item("Category").ToString command, i then added the dropdown(SelectItem) and passed the variable Category. I then created a new for each row to go through the second dataTable which is ProvinceDt, assined a variable Province the values in the ProvinceDt via row.Item("Province").ToString command and then click the search button and repeat unti inner loop compleates, then do outer loop. The aim is to be able to go to the website, select the 1st value provided in Category variable in the dropdown, then go to the second dropdown and select Province variable in the dropdown based on the ProvinceDt, and then click search. and reapeat the process. this should go through the inner loop 1st then outer loop until the rows in the excel documents are complete. But i get error when it does the second loop in the innerloop(Province).

Hey aiswar. At 8:42 make sure your Add Data Row has as many elements as your Data Table has columns. You are having at least one too many elements in your Add Data Row array. Did that solve it? Kind regards, Anders

I made my bot using this solution, there are 3 more steps i added to this based on my scenario that 1) "send hot key to end", 2) click validate another number, 3) If result is not correct then get the result populated as "incorrect", now it works like charm! This is just one part of my 12 scenarios in a bot.. If i have any questions I will ask you !

I tried but i did not specified the columns I guess, so it is not giving me the email Address in the Col C, instead in Col B after the last row of the first name and last name the mail address is getting added ! may be a small change but i am trying!
Is the "indicated screen" minimized or completely gone? If it's the first you can use the attach window for more stability and if it is the last, I would make a check first if the window exist.

We can prevent that, by putting everything in a Try Catch (where we try the search, and if an error occurs, we catch it and can continue witht he next search afterwards). I know there are c# libraries that do this, but I'm not sure how to implement this in UiPath. Is it possible? Does anyone know how? Here is a guide for that ruclips.net/video/qpD2TIgPk_U/видео.html You can just skip the logging part to excel, if you dont want that. But the concept is the same. You "Try" something (search the web from you search word), if an exception occurs (search word is empty), you go the catch section and perfom the action there and continue. Was that useful for you? May I ask for some help? It is sort of a follow up here. I have a sister with Diabetics. She gets results when she checks her values. This values shows in her program 24 hours. Then it starts over.
She manually types them from her program to an Excel sheet every day. If she miss one it is gone. If she go to her doctor they can get a month result by special authoritys to the program. I have come so far so it collect the values in a one singel column. It is four rows. Date as header. And then 3 values a day. I would like it to put them in a Excel file where the informations goes to a "next" empty column. So Row 4 is the Dates. Row 5 is "08:00", Row 6 is "14:00" and Row 7 is "20:00". How do I make it to check the next empty column and type in a special row? Hope I make my self understod. :) Tanks.

Hello @Anders Jensen... I am creating a project where i need to connect to remote PC using TeamViewer and transfer some files from the remote PC onto my PC or any Server/Database.
I am able to create automation for one PC....But I have multiple PCs (more than 50) connected to my team viewer and I need to perform similar activity for each remote PC.
Can you help me to do this? How can i make the robot choose one PC for file transfer and automatically move onto the next PC after completing the file transfer on the previous PC?
There is no tutorial or help on the internet related to using UI path for TeamViewer...So please check and help me.

I have a similar question however mine is a bit complicated and I'm not sure if it is executable.
Now, I don't know how familiar you are with salesforce but that's where I search reference numbers. The thing about it is it is a platform where when you search a ref. numb. the link above changes a bit as it is opening the exact case with all the info about it. And the reason I might be looking into one is the system already failed to recognize some info because it wasn't entered at the correspondent field and it might be anywhere within the page in between any text and any field. That's when I Ctrl+F to find if what I'm looking for exists. Also, I know the first 3 digits of what I need but not the rest.
Do you have any suggestion on how to modify the processes so it does the job for me? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Anders. Is there a way to copy data from active workbook, from active pdf, from active email? I need to log into a site, for each row in active excelworkbook create a folder and type the data into the site, click on the lines with attachment which will open an email document, I need to open the pdf inside the email and copy a value from the pdf into excel, save that email in the folder. Thanks for making these videos Anders, much appreciated. Issue I'm having with this is that when the data is copied to Sheet2, it's duplicating the first line of my output column. So, B2 and B3 are the same and the rest of the column is off by 1. Any way to resolve this?

@@andersjensenorg After I posted the question I played with several instances of the delay activity. Unfortunately, none of those delays worked. I started entering data manually to see how the page responded and noticed that sometimes the page wouldn't return the search data after hitting Enter. So, I added a few (3) "[k(enter)]" after my input string and that seemed to solve my issue.

Hey Harsh. We use the Read Range to read the Excel sheet into a Data Table. The Data Table is structured the same as the sheet (rows and columns), but it gives us the possibility to apply different functions/methods on it. After we finished doing that, we write the Data Table back to an Excel sheet. Does that make sense? Kind regards, Anders

I realize if I have to OPEN Browser, I get only "Open Browser in Incognito mode" option and not the regular browser. Hi Anders, i am following your tutorial but i changed it so that i can learn something, instead of type into i am using dropdown(selectItem Activities), and i am using variables to assign values. I have one excel document that have two sheets("Category"&"Province") respectively, so i have two read range activities with two datatables for CategoryDt and ProvinceDt. I then have an open browser activity where i assign the url("etenders.treasury.gov.za/content/advertised-tenders") to the variable called path. i then have the 1st for each row loop for the CategoryDt and created a variable called Category to hold the data from the CategoryDt using that row.item("Category").ToString command, i then added the dropdown(SelectItem) and passed the variable Category. I then created a new for each row to go through the second dataTable which is ProvinceDt, assined a variable Province the values in the ProvinceDt via row.Item("Province").ToString command and then click the search button and repeat unti inner loop compleates, then do outer loop.
The aim is to be able to go to the website, select the 1st value provided in Category variable in the dropdown, then go to the second dropdown and select Province variable in the dropdown based on the ProvinceDt, and then click search. and reapeat the process.
this should go through the inner loop 1st then outer loop until the rows in the excel documents are complete.
But i get error when it does the second loop in the innerloop(Province).
I get this error

Hey aiswar. At 8:42 make sure your Add Data Row has as many elements as your Data Table has columns. You are having at least one too many elements in your Add Data Row array. Did that solve it? Kind regards, Anders
