When I first heard Ali & Jake One were doing the whole album together, this is the type of musical sound I envisioned. Too dope.
This video won back a mpls fan from high school -back in the day when no one knew who he was and when he had trouble getting shows and the venues sucked and the crowds were small but faithful...I had stopped paying attention to him, but hey, he's got my attention now. I'm still here. Plus, whoever directed this video did us justice. Real honest depictions of the people who live here and the collective reality that we face.

Ali is actually a major community activist. He's out there helping the needy and protecting the innocent more than just about every rapper. Know your shit before you talk. In this song he is just telling the stories of the underprivileged and their environment. He's not making excuses or saying they are entitled to anything.
